Shocket was curious, seeing the infantduckling in front of her, seeing her just as curious about her unaware Tivon was watching both infants, hearing them giggling as Shocket hadtackle-hugged her, nuzzling hertiny noseandwhiskers against the infant ducklings's beak making Howard smirk, knowing this wasa goodthing, vowing to protect them, and when theygot older, he would getthem out of here.
"I'm Shockie, what's your name?" thefluffy brown-;7443: raccoon infant said.
"Linda, we're gonna betogether forever, this place isweird." Linda toldher.
A smirk crossed Shocket's furry face, hugging her gently...
It wasthe next morning, a Day!inda began to awaken, from sleeping, feeling Shocket beside her with her earbuds in herlittlefurry ears making the femaleduckling guess she needed a bit more sleep, getting out oftheir bedwithout waking Shocket up going to thekitchen seeing herdad had left but an note wason the kitchen table, from Howard sayinghe had left pancakes in thefridge, so shecould warm them up for herand Shocket, which madeherexcitable, getting to makeherand Shocket breakfast sincetheyhadalways lookedout foreach other in the Collectors's fortress.
"No don't think abouyt that, be postive, likedadtells me, I hopehe's alright." shesaid softly.
She found the pancakes in the fridge like in her dad's note, putting them on plates after theyhad been in the microwave, realising they needed something to drink, there was notany juice left, having an idea, back when they livedwith Tivon, theyusedto make his coffee nevergetting to try it, until now knowing this wouldwakeShocket up, or make her feel better ifshedidn't sleep well, guessing she wasright boiling thekettle, pouring coffee into mugs, adding milk andspritzing maplesyrup in them, just in case.
"You made us breakfast, is that okay with your dad?" Shocket askedsoftly.
"Yep, he left a letter, so yeah it's totally okay." Linda assured her.
The female kit took in the smells of pancakes with whipped cream smiley faces, which Linda thought would makehersmile, her brown eyeswidening seeing coffee, feelimg a mischievous grin cross herfurry face, drinking aftera few sips, having an epihany, she loved coffee!
"You gonnadrink that?" sheasked seeing Limda give her it.
Since they had came to this planet, they had to learn andadapt to things, some good, some bad guessing coffee could be problematic forShocket be ause she hadran out oftheir apartment, having to go after her, not knowing whata caffeinated Shocket would do, besides it was raining, grabbing her coat giving chase, hearing hyperactive giggling, finding Shocket, and a kit in armour?
"Ummm, do you know this kit, shewas loomingforcoffee?" the purple-armoured kit said.
"Yes, that'sShocket, shegotcraxyafter her first taste ofcoffee, I'm sorry,if anything happened." Linda replied.
"It'scool, I'mCasey, butI shouldgetgoi g." shesaidflyingoff.
Linda saw Shocket was calmer, guessing thecoffee hadworn off, seeing the female kit wassoakedto the bone as they walked back to the apartment, relieved her dadwas not back, locking the apartmentdoor, helping Shocketdry off, noticing shewastired seeijg her curled up on the couch makimgher smile andherfeathery cheeksgo pink, shecouldnotstay madatShocketfor lomg hoping shewasalright.
She heard Shocket sneezewhich was adorable, yetworriedher knowing shewascarching something, so would keep an eyeon her as herdadwas sometimes too busy with hiswork, so sheandShockettook careofoneanother, knowing maybeShocketshould meetherbioglocial dad andshe wouldgo with her for support, hearing moresneezes smiling atthecuteness.
"Is she okay, Shocket I mean?" Casey heardRocket asking.
"Nope she's okay uncle, only if she'syour kit, why don'tyou tell her?" sheasked.
"Howie saidthat Shocket istakingher time, so when she's ready, then I will butI can look out for her, alright?" he said lookijg at the apartment building before they left, hoping Shocketwould be ready fortheir meeting soon...
