"Somebody gets a lot of allowance money, eh?" the clerk replied boxing the locket, after Shocket handed over the money, which she'd saved up to invent her own motorbike, but Linda was more important to her, thankimg the clerk after putting it in her backpack, leavimg the store going back to the apartment, climbing in through the window, into her and Lindas's room.
"Awww Ducky's still asleep, I must have worn her out last night." /)3 muttered to herself.
Howard was impressed seeing Rocket had came over and was helpimg, noticing the fancy gift-box Shocket pulled out of her backpack, explaining showing the empty money bank, impressing them, seeing Linda there, her eyes wide in awe, as it was her birthday hugging Shocket after opening her gift stunned she'd used her money, to get it for her, wearing it.
"We're not having beans for dinner, we'll open windows!" Shocket said seeing her dad stop her.
"We're gonna have pizza, I kow Howie feeds you flatuence-conducting foods, he can only do beans on toast." Rocket said, making them excitable as theywere getting to try an new food, something Terran kids loved, stunning Rocket by their reactions knowing this would be epic but he was happy seeing Shocket happy, instead of being anxious, knowing she and Linda had been through a lot in their lives, only Linda was dealing with it more than Shocket, knowing their class was doing a project, about family.
"Go hang out with her, she needs you, I wanna have a few moments with LIndia." Howard told him.
He got a mischievous idea knowing that Thor was the landlord, makimg Shocket curious, seeimg eggs that he had taken from the trash throwing them, at windows, which Shocket found awesome, throwing some, impressing Rocket at her aim knowing she got it from him high-fouring her with a fist bump, explaining it was something you did when pumped up, loving it.
"We should get back inside, before the tenants find out our crime." Rocket said grinning.
"Yep, they have to clean their windows from our awesomness!" Shocket said laughijg.
Howard wondered what was going on with thise two, happy they were bonding, hearing Rocket ordering pizzas when askimg, if he wasbehind what happened to thewindows, seeing Shocket giggle, as Lindagot it, when she was washing her paws before eating kbowing her uncle were being playdul.

Since Howard was not good at cooking, he could only make beans on toast which meanyt things got stinky, so that was a running joke which Rocket got, buying microwavable foods ke mac and cgeese, which Howard could not mess up as he would like Shocket to eat some real food to grow big and strong, knowing she got wild with lunchtime at schook, andhad chocolate milk seeing her big brownish eyes light up, seeing chocolate milk in the fridge, seeing him eating gum.
"You're welcome, as I observe your eating and drinkijg habitsin the line." he said spitting the gum in the trah, knowing some Terran member of his species would get stuck on it, seeing Shocket knowing what his gum was for, keeping that secret as it was Tivon related not wanting to think about the person that treatec herand Linda likedirt, besides it was Lindas'sbirthday and thehappiest one she was having making Linda get it, knowing they would have cake, getting to make a special wish.
After pizza, it was cake te, making Linda smirk seeing her dad recording, and Shocket banging her tiny aws on the table like she was drumming seeing ber dad joining in, laughing seeing Linda grin, makimg her wish not for herself but for Shocket blowing out the candles hearing them cheering, with Howard chuckling trying not to quack.
"So, what did you wish for, when you blew out the candles, to be a mystery writer, or as famous as the detectives you readaboit?" Shocket asked Linda while getting ready for bed, as Howard had been called on a last-minute case, but Rocket had decided to stay the night, he did not feel comfortable leavimg two little kids unsupervised in the apartment.

Shocket was surprised, that Linda had usdd her special birthday wish for her, kissimg her after brushimg her fangs knowing her dad's were dirty relievimg Linda returnimg the kiss ehich Rocket found sweet, knowing they werr on a much better path for their future away from Tivon, feelimg a lump in his furry throat feelimg Shocket hugsfurry leg feelimg those thoughts go away.
"I think I'm okay, you know?" he assured her.
"It's okay not to feel okay dad, Sif taught us." she said.
"I know, she'll be proud like I am." he said softly.
He wad then watching movies with them, lettimg them stay up, since Hosard would not be back until morning, lettimg them have more cake, and Shocket was drinkimg chocolate milk, lovimg everything that was happenimg, this was what she had imagindd havimg a mom and dad like, gigglimg beimg hyper, until sunrise, with all three of them asleep on the couch sith Rocket havimg his furry arms around both girls in sleep, makimg him happy, wanting to bond more with Shocket.
