It was the middle of the night and Linda and Shocket were wide-awake drinkimg chocolate milk and on the couch watching shows, until they heard soft laughter makimg Shocket grab a blaster just in case it was an intruder but when she and Linda saw an older-looking female duck and a purple-mohawked raccoon in armour, they were in awe.
"Relax littler us, we felt like popping in, and the timeline is safe, my dad visits yours all the time." Shocket heard her older self say, makimg her impressed with so many questions in her head, especially seeing she had a papoose hearing noises from it, exchanging a look.
"Yes there's a kit in there of sorts, she was a shock to my system, but we love her, even if Tivon thought we would be his tool." she said seeing her Linda getting milk from the kitchen, makimg Linda get it, the baby was hungry peeking inside the papoose, seeing an infant that was half duck and raccoon, seeing Shocket grin.
"Don't worry, uncle Howie's on a case so he won't be back until morning, besides we have a lot of questions." she told them making older Linda and Shocket giggle at this, because they had forgotten these days, telling them to ask, just not ones that dealt too much with their future, which Shocket understood seeing Linda holding Sora, her and Shocket's daughter.
"Daddy was an Nova and has a helemet, that's so cool, you think he'll let me wear it?" Shocket asked.
"It is and maybe, when you're a bit older, as with great power comes responsbilty, like being Guardians of the Galaxy." she replied smirking at her younger self and Lindas's younger self reacting to this, trying not to wake Sora showing them the Milano 3.0 which she had designed and she and Rocket had built it together, impressing them, that two little cloned kids would grow up awesome, making happy tears sting Shocket's eyes.
"Everything will be alright, we know we didn't have the best start just like dad, but we're becoming awesome like he did becoming a Guardian and an Avenger, things get better." her older self assured her, hugging her.
"It's true for you too, Linda, helping solving mysteries, makimg your dad so proud, the future is golden for you both." Linda added to her younger self ruffling her hair bun seeing the sun coming up, hearing them yawning, making the older Linda and Shocket smile, wrappimg a blanket around them.
"Don't worry, we'll meet again soon, but you both need your rest, little guardians need to grow up big and stromg despite being cute and chubby." Shocket told them kissing their heads, seeing them asleep, pulling out the space-stone opening a portal back to where they came from, vanishing.
"It was good to see them, remember where we came from, give them hope so they become us." Shocket said sitting in the cockpit of the Milano 3.0 seeing Linda nodding smirking at the questions their younger selves had asked, kissing Shocket.
"Wow, you talked to your future selves, that's amazing, did they give you advice, you know?" Rocket asked.
It was later that day and Shocket was hanging out with her dad, going through his stuff because Lylla was wanting to sell it so Shocket was telling him about her and Lindas's future selves visiting, leaving out the part that they became moms hearing him surprised they could become Guardians having a cooler ship than Starlord, but her eyes widened finding her dad's Nova hellemet, surely she could try it on, it was her birthright, being Rocket's kit.
She then did it while her dad went to get snacks feelimg power rushing through, and around her, blasting off, much to Rocket's shock, guessing how she knew about that, taking off using his rocket-pack, hearing her yelling excitedly shooting energy blasts out of her little paws.
"Let's see Tivon stop me now, heheI!" she said making Rocket sigh.
"Shocket, I know you're having fun, but that thing is not a toy." he said.
"Yeah but it's mine, I'm your kit." she replied.
"I know you like it and yes it is yours when you're bigger." Rocket said, getting her to land, where they had been working, scampering over to her, taking the helemet off, relieving him, seeing a huge smirk on her furry face, knowing she could fly without her rocket-pack with that on makimg Rocket sigh, putting it away where little paws could not get to it, until they were older, deciding to tell her about when he wore the Destroyer armour, stunning her.
"It was cool, but it made me lose myself, get mad at my friends, that's why an Nova helemet isn't a tou, you'll get it when you're ready, like future you said." he said smiling seeing Lylla there, wondering what had happened, impressed they had sorted out things for the cosmicyard sale noticing Shocket was being calm around her, letting her take her time in bonding with her, knowing she and her dad were becoming closer, which was good.
