Zero asked, "What's going on here? She threw a sword at you. That should have killed you."

Cornelia had a sneaky grin on her face, while explaining. "I anticipated that somebody would try to stab me. That's why I'm wearing a vest, that protects me from sword attacks. It's a very rare type of vest, that I doubt any of you have."

Cornelia looked at C. C., with an evil smile on her face. She said, "You tried to defeat me, with my own sword. It's about time you face the same punishment."

Cornelia tried to use her sword, to stab C. C. However, the sword didn't kill C. C. C. C. stood around, with a smug smile on her face. Cornelia's eyebrows raised in surprise. Cornelia asked, "What's going on here? How is the sword not destroying you?"

C. C. answered, "I'm an immortal witch." Cornelia gritted her teeth.

Zero stood around, with his hand on his hips. He started walking closer to Cornelia, while Diethard filmed him. He said, "You might as well give up, Cornelia."

Cornelia replied, "Oh, really? Why do you think I should give up? After all, giving up isn't the right thing to do. Isn't that what you've been trying to teach your sidekicks, along with all of Japan? You were inspiring them, to not give up on their country. I have a similar goal in mind. I'm trying to keep my teammates from giving up on their country. We have some pretty extreme differences, yet we have some haunting similarities."

Zero responded, "Indeed we do. I can't deny that. However, one of the differences, between the two of us, is that one of us fights for a noble cause, while the other is projecting a bad example upon the world."

Cornelia smirked at Zero, while saying, "I couldn't agree more and you're the one, who's being the bad role-model. I'm trying to protect the world's greatest country."

Zero replied, "All countries should be treated equally."

Cornelia said, "Apparently, you haven't heard my father's speech about equality."

Zero cringed, while saying, "I remember that."

Zero thought back to a time when Emperor Chares appeared in front of a crowd to make a speech. Emperor Charles looked serious and stern, while facing crowds of people. He raised his fist in the air and said, "I'm sure you people of the media and even you people living under a rock have heard complaints about the way I'm running things. There are groups of people, that are under the impression that I'm not running things correctly. They think I hold Britannia on a pedestal, while placing unfair judgements upon the other countries. Well, it's about time I address these complaints. I'm sick of these lesser countries thinking they have the right to be considered equally good as our beloved Britannia. Not all countries are equal and not all people are equal. The sooner you face the fact, that Britannia superior to all countries, the quicker you can have a sane and rational mind. Some say inequality is wrong. However, I say if you aren't as rich, successful, and charming as you want to be, you only have yourself to blame." Emperor Charles pointed his hands in the air. He said, "Britannia is the greatest of them all and anybody, who dares to challenge us, will be eliminated! Britannia will prevail, forever!"

Zero and Cornelia angrily stared at each other, while saying, Zero said, "The Emperor is nothing short of a monster. His views are biased, offensive, and manipulative. If you embrace his rules and values, then you're part of the problem."

Cornelia replied, "You and your kind are the ones, who are causing the problems. If you could just accept what Area 11 has been given, then we can all fill out the roles in life, that we are supposed to."

Zero folded his arms and responded, "I refuse, Cornelia. You seem to think that the people of Japan should just be okay with the fact they've lost their freedom and respect, while Britannia gets treated like the most glorious of all countries. I'm not accepting of that and I never will be. I will continue fighting against that, until progress has been made."

Cornelia looked angry, before she started making a wicked-looking smile. She said, "I see, Zero. If you can't accept Britannia's values, that's fine. If you're never going to grow up, that's fine as well. After all, you won't be able to make any decisions, after I get rid of you."

Cornelia grabbed Zero and started choking him. C. C. started walking up to Cornelia, so Cornelia pointed her sword at Zero. She said, "If you try to interfere, Zero will keep being choked, until he has zero days of his life left. Call off the Black Knight's attack, against my men and women. Otherwise, you will of died in vain."

Zero said, "I don't care if you get rid of me, as long as the Black Knights crush Britannia and bring peace to Japan."

Cornelia replied, "This isn't the time for modesty, Zero. Do you really think the Black Knights will be able to stop me, without you to guide them? After all, before you became their leader, barely any of us Britannians took them seriously. They were troublemakers, but they weren't a credible threat. None of them would be on the battlefield, if it wasn't for you."

Zero responded, "Fine. I'll call them off."

Cornelia let go of Zero. Zero fell to the ground and spent a minute catching his breath. C. C. and Diethard ran up to him, with concerned looks on their faces.

C. C. asked, "Are you okay?"

Zero answered, "Yes."

Diethard smiled and said, "I'm proud of you, Zero. Even after being choked, you still have the bravery and the confidence, that a true hero should have. You have no idea how great you're going to look, when my broadcast about you comes out."

Zero walked closer to the Jony Tay battlefield. He saw the Lancelot wrecking Kallen's mech to shreds, but Kallen sat on the ground and started firing shots with her gun. Tamaki was sleeping on the ground, but the other Black Knights looked determined to fight off Cornelia's men and women. Zero walked closer. The Black Knights and the Britannian military looked at him. Zero said, "Black Knights, I command that you resign from the fight. Today's fight is over. That doesn't mean we're out of commission. It just means we must retreat, for now."

General Darlton smirked, while replying, "Well, it appears Zero's finally come to his senses and his admitted that we Britannians have the superior team. However, just because they surrender doesn't mean we have to do the same."

Cornelia faced Darlton, while saying, "No, the Britannians are true to their word. I had Zero in the palm of my hands. I could of choked the life out of him, but he surrendered. The fact, that we didn't get to eliminate Zero and the Black Knights, is nothing to be ashamed about. Zero is the one who agreed to my terms, because he knew he'd lose his life, if he didn't. Because of that, Britannia has won this battle."

Guilford and Darlton smiled, while Kallen, Ohgi, and the other Black Knights looked ashamed of themselves. Suzaku looked at Guilford, while saying, "I know I should be feeling satisfied and proud, but I don't. I feel like I failed."

Guilford replied, "Oh? Why do you feel that way?"

Suzaku said, "Look at our enemies."

Guilford looked around and saw Zero, C. C., and the Black Knights walking away. He said, "Kururugi, we won the war."

Suzaku replied, "But Zero and all of his followers are walking away. We've roughed them up a bit, but Zero's still on the loose. He's still going to commit more crimes."

Guilford responded, "But Princess Cornelia humiliated him. At the risk of sounding informal, Cornelia showed Zero who's boss."

Cornelia walked by Suzaku and asked, "What's wrong, Kururugi? You're part of the winning team, yet you have the sourest face of them all."

Suzaku replied, "I apologize, your majesty. I'm just worried about Zero. I was hoping we'd be able to capture him and put an end to his vile acts."

Cornelia tried to comfort him, by saying, "You don't need to worry about that. If I wanted to get rid of Zero, I would have. I was considering it. After all, I think we all find destroying Zero a temptation. However, I think it's for the best, that he remains alive."

Suzaku looked surprised, while asking, "Why do you feel that way?"

Cornelia said, "Zero covers his face with a mask, but in an ironic twist, he's become the face of Area 11. Those people, formerly known as the Japanese, have been looking for a vigilante and Zero filled that role for him. By humiliating him in battle, Area 11 will start realizing what a joke their so-called country really is." Cornelia laughed, while Suzaku looked away, in order to cover up his disapproval of Cornelia's discrimination against Japan. Cornelia thought Zero was a quitter, but Zero knew that he'd keep working on his goal of making Japan a better place.

While in his new lab, Lloyd grabbed random tools out of the cabinet and started playing around with them. He skipped around the lab, before taking a look at the passed-out and hurt Jeremiah. Lloyd said, "You can't hear me, can you? You know, everybody thought you were toast. If you were pudding, I would of eaten you. On a more serious note, I was worried about you. Britannia needs more test subjects like you, who will agree to any of my crazy experiments, because you're loyal to the bitter end. You know what the bitter end feels like, don't you? You got crushed by a mech and fell into the ocean. I'm guessing that hurt. However, you don't need to worry, because I'm going to revive you and make you stronger than ever."

Lloyd grabbed his tools and started using them on Jeremiah's robot parts. Lloyd smiled, while saying, "You know, this is a bit of an odd moment, isn't it? A mad scientist working on fixing a passed-out robot. If anything, it sounds a bit dark and I've never been a fan of that. All this war stuff, between Britannia and the Black Knights, is really too serious and overdramatic for my taste. I'm going to liven things up." Lloyd turned on a nearby radio and started humming along with the music, while continuing to work on Jeremiah. He started finding the music irresistible, so he started dancing to the music, while doing his work. Lloyd grabbed a container of pudding and started eating it. Lloyd said, "Whoever said multitasking was impossible wasn't a scientist, particularly a mad one. I'm working on a robot, dancing, and eating pudding, all at the same time. It's the trilogy of legends, if I do say so myself." He started tapping his feet, while fiddling around with the screws on Jeremiah's shoulder. He took off the old screws and started putting new screws on. He said, "You don't need to worry. I'm going to do more than just fix the parts of you, that got damaged. I'm also going to give you new parts, that are better than anything you've ever had. It's advanced technology, that most people thought was too dangerous for machines. Well, they're in for a treat, when a human gets installed with his dangerous technology."

Lloyd did a crazy-sounding laugh. He started dancing around the lab, while grabbing random scientific instruments. Prince Schneizel walked into the lab and saw Lloyd prancing around. He looked confused, before saying, "Greetings, Professor Lloyd."

Lloyd grinned and replied, "Hi, Prince Schneizel. I must say it's good to see you. It can get boring, when you're only company is a lifeless robot."

Schneizel responded, "I apologize for the sudden visit. I came here, because I was interested in seeing you work."

Lloyd asked, "Really? What a delightfully odd thing to want to watch."

Schneizel said, "I hope this doesn't sound rude, but I must say I'm disappointed. I wanted to see all the kooky, yet brilliant things you do, while working. Instead, I just see you doing some kind of wild dance routine."

Lloyd shook his hand in front of Schneizel's face and explained, "You misunderstand the situation, Schneizel. I was doing a type of multi-tasking, that nobody's ever attempted. I was working on installing new parts in Jeremiah, eating pudding, and showing off my dances moves."

Schneizel put his hand on his chin, while looking amused. He said, "Then I must apologize, for misreading the situation. This is a charmingly odd surprise from you. Knowing you, I'd expect nothing less."

Lloyd replied, "Thank you."

Schneizel said, "I hope you don't mind if I watch you work. I've been needing some new scientists and if you fit my requirements, you could earn yourself a promotion."

Lloyd replied, "You sound like a man after my own heart. Of course, my true love goes to science. Well, I was also in love with a witch, but that didn't work out."

Schneizel asked, "A witch? I'm not sure if you have a creative imagination or if the world has really gone mad."

Lloyd grinned, while saying, "I love madness."

Schneizel stood around and watched Lloyd continue to work on Jeremiah, while eating his pudding and dancing around. Schneizel smirked, while observing Lloyd, who looked like he was having the time of his life. Lloyd turned the radio station to a channel that was playing an upbeat pop song. Lloyd grabbed Jeremiah off the table and started dancing with him.
