"Where exactly are we going, Lee?"
Hearing his voice puts indescribable uneasiness over my spine, although I don't need my eyes thanks to the Arcane echo-location, I still glance by my side every now and then whenever he's not aware out of habit thanks to my experience in VR LoL.
Sett looked bored, but there is this sense of wariness behind his eyes whenever he looked towards him.
It was tense.
But due to the situation they've been displaced, an unspoken agreement was placed for their survival. But for how long? Who's to say that one of them could break the agreement and slaughter the other?
It was an instinctual response in the face of a predator, and both of them know very well that the other could kill the other.
It just depends on who's to strike first but to do that you'll be branded as untrustworthy and a danger to be put down.
It was a precarious dilemma.
Shaking my head, I couldn't help but force down my ever-clenching fist, ever since I've been thrown in this world. I couldn't help but feel twitchy, but I could see the same development coming from my... partner.
"To the lake, I spot one earlier from my scouting, we need to secure that source of fresh water and find a place to settle. " I spoke with a wisp of thirst.
Thirst, a feeling that further solidify the reality of my situation, the stake of permanent death was too much pressure and the lack of information in this world puts me further into the backseat.
If I knew that this'll happen then I'd chosen a much more powerful character than Lee.
It didn't help that Lee is just a superhuman, a far cry compared to the other powerhouse.
"Not finding civilization?" He spoke with a hint of skepticism.
"We don't know if they spoke the same language, if they're even sentient or sapient, their morality and society or even the power scaling of the Entities.
We're also not in any position to further scout ahead, not if there's even a settlement nearby."
Halting a few meters ahead, in front of me is a lush green clearing full of life and critters such as bunnies, etc.
But unlike the critters back home, the animals have much more defined structures and beauty in them.
We'll be nourished and evolved to survive in the wild if those strong hind legs were to speak.
Right around the back is a freshwater river stream surrounded by Grey rocks and Boulders with mosses attaches around them.
The river contains a transparent crystal view, with beautiful fishes of unknown species swimming through the stream.
Lacking any pollution or any man-made intervention.
Seeing this put stars in Sett's eyes as the man-child quickly throws off his clothes and dives forward with a jubilant squeal of joy.
Seeing this made me relax but a bit stunned that the man pass by without me being able to react, sure I was distracted but him bursting with a surprising speed out of nowhere froze my body out of commission.
It wasn't an excuse if I want to survive the coming days.
But... clearly, we aren't limited by our game physics if our movement speed isn't constricted by arbitrary numbers.
"This... is going to be much harder than I thought," I spoke with dread and fascination.
What else was broken out of the game?
Opening my inventory, I watch the six items within the boxes with curiosity along with the set of golds laid undisturbed.
As if by magic, a golden coin appeared within the grasp of my fingers, feeling the cool metal within my skin heightened my curiosity.
After experimenting the Items, I soon find myself disappointed that I couldn't even bring them out of reality.
That said, what does Damage, Armor, Lethality, Tenacity and whatnot in the real world?
Does it have the same meaning as it says in their Data lines or is it something else. Walking forward, I pick up a thick branch and use the edge as a handle before swinging it with a satisfying swoosh.
"Hey Mike_Oxlong, are you bathing or what!"
Looking back out of instincts, I couldn't help but blush in embarrassment and incredulity as he called out my name tag with a playful look and chiding voice followed with miming a blowjob, pushing his tongue against his cheek, provoking a hiss from my own nose.
Seeing this made him laugh as swam across the river with unexpected finesse.
