The pod's hatch blew open with a muted roar as the hatch flew off before clattering to a stop nearby. Now, the pod had survived this almighty landing, but, as all people know, the human body does not like being thrown into things violently, and as such, even though the pod had taken the brunt of the impact, the body inside took some of the shock from the sudden deceleration and caused almost certainly catastrophic injuries to the occupant. As it was, the ODST, with blurry vision and blood dripping down his chin from a ruptured lung, clambered out of the pod, desperate and scared, feeling very, very alone in the darkness, feeling colder by the second as his blurry vision informed him that he was alone, in a room full of odd machinery, all with the recognisably human sharp ergonomic shapes and smooth surfaces. In the background, with his failing eyes and battered brain he saw what he though was a doorway, and made for it, falling over as soon as he tried to walk, then continuing on his way crawling.
He made it all the way to the door, crawling over nests of cables and accidentally flicking a couple of switches, not that he knew it, because he was starting to feel numb and shivers wracked his body, before, just as he crossed the threshold he realised it was just another odd machine in the room and he was not going to receive help. He started crying, not aware of the machinery that had started to hum, oblivious in his self-pity, and even though he knew it couldn't happen, desperately wished he had his mother there to comfort him as he slipped away into the lonely darkness. His eyes and ears had stopped receiving and transmitting information at this point, so he was unaware of the lights in the 'doorway' lighting up, revealing itself to be a gurney lowered all the way to the floor, with a glass bubble extending all around it.

At this point, a visible corona of light enveloped the pod and the smell of ozone penetrated the air as the now dead ODST dissappeared, leaving a lanky anthropomorphic Grey wolf with dark grey fur and white highlights in his place.

Legosi woke with a start, opening his eyes and instantly regretting it as his retinas burned. "Gah" he exclaimed, before closing them immediately, thinking over the reason he may have woken up and immediately gotten flashed without the BANG. Nope, nothing came to mind.
He had been watering his flowers on his apartment balcony when a bright blue light had appeared beneath his feet, then he had a sensation of falling and then nothing. He had bought the apartment shortly after the incident that had his records marked with a devour offender stamp, and slightly after telling Haru he would be gone for a while.
After he had done that, he went travelling all over Japan, helping out where he could, learning martial arts for a few months from different areas as he helped with everything from rehabilitating carnivores that had gone meat crazy, to stopping groups scarily similar to Shishigumi in how they operated. After his bout of travelling that had lasted roughly two years, he had decided to stop travelling and settle down in the apartment that he had bought years back, not worried about the cost since the utilities weren't being used. He had only been back for around a week before the event leading to now had happened.
Legosi main POV
I blinked rapidly for about a minute before risking opening my eyes fully, and was rewarded with only a slight sting that faded with every blink of my eyes. Looking up at the ceiling I saw that I was encased in some sort of glass bubble. The glass had words floating midair directly in my line of sight. They were strange, although readable for some reason. They spelled out UNSC, but before I had time to ponder what they meant, the words faded and a screen took their place, a hairless ape with dark skin pigmentation appeared on screen, but instead of ape, my mind supplied the word human, which was strange, because I had never heard of the species human. The man had a no-nonsense look about him with a cigar hanging out of the side of his mouth.
-Hello there Spartan, my rank and name is Gunnery sergeant Johnson, and I'll be explaining to you in this little brief, why exactly your ass is parked on that gurney currently.
So, to put it briefly, you done gone messed up, you got hurt so badly that you couldn't be saved, so, obviously ONI scientists cooked up something that could save you, maybe, if the augmentation hasn't messed you up.
Which brings me nicely to my next subject: your body. So, ONI went and made this machine, which can erase the mind of a nice, very willing death row convict, and allow your mind to move into some new digs.
Don't ask me how it works cause I don't know, but now, you're in a new body ready to continue the fight, with armour being made to your body's new measurements. So, all you have to do now before the pod opens up is fill out a short questionnaire to put your details on a new dog tag. Good luck Spartan.-
Whilst I was slightly annoyed at the jab at canine kind I let it slide, in exchange for figuring out where I was. I decided that taking this quiz or whatever it was called would be the best next move if it would let me out. The screen had gone from the video to a stationary screen with drop down box options and a couple that I had to fill out with my first and second name. My blood type was already displayed on the quiz. I lifted my arm to start tapping on icons and froze. My arm was longer than I remembered it to be, and a hell of a lot beefier than it was before, even more so than when I fought with Griz. This made me try to look at the rest of my body but I couldn't see far enough because the canopy stopped me when I tried to sit up. I decided completing the quiz was my top priority now. Name: Legosi Greywolf, nationality: Japanese, preferred gender: male. Now let me out I'm done.
The canopy slid upwards and away from my body and as soon as it cleared my head height I leapt up to inspect my body, or at least I would have if my feet hadn't gotten tangled up, which left me to fall in a heap on the floor.
LegosimainPOV
After untangling myself I stood up, and almost fell over again due to the disorienting feeling of being taller that wouldn't go away, I felt a lot taller that I should be, so with that in mind I stumbled round to the canopy and looked for height on the quiz, my blood ran cold and I felt faint. If Im reading this right, I'm now 8.3 feet tall. That, is mind blowing. I looked over to weight, almost afraid of what I'd see. I was 273kg. What the hell. I chanced it and looked down at my body, and I don't think I've ever seen a body as ripped as this in any creature but a body builder gorilla.
A small blue dot in my eyesight had me blinking, trying to get rid of it, until I realised that it was somehow in my eyes, and then the dot became a line on the floor, leading out of the strange room with many contraptions and a hole in the roof with a metal box that I had just noticed. I decided to follow this line and felt a breeze on my nether regions, I realised I was naked pretty quick after that and looked around for something to wear, conveniently, or not so much considering this place so far, there was a black suit with many metal circles and clamps on it, lying at the foot of the gurney. Pulling it on whilst hopping on one foot earned me a bruised ego as I tripped on a cable and landed on my tail, which hurt, a LOT. The suit seemed to have a magnetic strip around the back of the suit that when I pulled my tail through, and secured it to my back, keep my tail out of the way with minimal discomfort. After the episode with me tripping over, I was a lot more cautious when leaving the room stepping around some pretty weird contraptions on my way out.
Once in the hallway I was directed to a door at a dead end, which opened for me. Oookay, not creepy at all, definitely not, nope. Walking into the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to a dark suit of armour that was lit up with lights all over the room.
It was obviously made for me, as there was a muzzle and slanted forwards triangles, which lined up with where my ears were supposed to go. The suit was about 2 inches taller than I was, and looked to weigh at least 600kg, and.. oh look, there's a tablet in front of the suit on a stand, I guess I'll go check it out.
The tablet had information about the suit, including a name, Lupineanthopomorphus huh. That's way too long for a name, I thought, sweat-dropping internally. Next came weight, and yup, I was right, actually a little bit off though, it was 560kg on its own without anyone inside it. If I were to wear it if would weigh 833kg or thereabouts.
There was a button icon next to the information that the strange blue glowing thing in my eyes was highlighting so I decided to press it. Instantly, a bunch of mechanical arms came down from the ceiling and stripped the armour from the frame it was on, I was too shocked by the quick event that I didn't move when the helmet, breastplate and greaves were attached to my suit, and then at that point I decided to let it happen and got fitted with the rest of the armour, having my leg rudely lifted off of the floor to have my foot shoved into one of my boots. I learned quickly and with the other one I stood on one leg as it placed the boot under my leg. I slipped it on and a robot arm came to secure it to my leg snugly.
After that ordeal was over, I tried moving in the suit, and found that my movements were a lot faster just walking leisurely, and with my new leg length, crossing the floor of the surprisingly spacious armour room was effortless. Inside my visor, which I noted from earlier but didn't really look into, that was tinted red, a screen appeared in front of me, seemingly in midair. Again, Gunnery Sargent Johnson was the talker. This time it wasn't a briefing, but a warning. And a call to action.
-For any Spartans out there, get off of Reach in any way possible, the covies are preparing to glass the planet, I've marked a way point that will automatically be added to your VISR HUD. When you get to that marker, you can expect to find a shipyard with plenty of mining ships. When you get out into orbit we should be able to pick you up and if we aren't we'll come back and search the orbital debris for signs of life. Good luck out there Spartans. You'll need it.-
