Cypress regarded the crowd through gleaming red eyes. The Eclipse members fell on their knees in terror. "Peace. Be still." Cypress said, with a hint of something new in his voice, new and evil. Turning to Red, he began to tremble with energy.

"Red! You may have defeated me in combat before my indwelling, but I doubt you will stand up to my newfound powers!" Red stood his ground. Cypress cocked his head in pity. "Awwwwww, not even a little afraid? I did just die, you know. You are truly making me angry." Cypress howled at the sky, giving a mighty roar of: KIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Cypress launched his arm forward, outstretched his hand, and then brilliant, crackling, violet bolts of energy flew out of his palm, hitting the Pokedex Holder and launching Red into the air, far, far backwards, until he crumpled a smoking heap against a concrete banister. Green, Yellow, and several others rushed over to him, while other glared at the demon that was once Cypress.

Cypress howled with laughter. "Marvelous! Such power! This is but a taste of the horrors that await those who oppose me." Turning to his servants, Cypress delivered a brief statement. "I am none but the highest God. Who but one greater than Arceus can conquer death? Bow before me and express your allegiance to the risen Lord of the Universe!" Every single Eclipse member fell, screaming for mercy.

Suddenly, several people ran from somewhere in the merchant district and fell into a battle formation. It was Looker, and five other officers. Blake joined Looker at the front. "Jonathan Rowel Cypress," Blake began, "You are under arrest under charges of terrorism, Pokémon theft, assault, vandalism, and impersonating a government official." The officers assumed a offensive stance, Poke Balls at the ready.

Cypress smiled, and lifted his arms into the air, and suddenly several snakes sprouted from the ground around him. The snakes levitated into the air, and Cypress waved his arms like conductors batons as the reptiles twirled and spun. Then, with a clap of Cypress's hands, the snakes turned into doves. The officers were not deterred, and continued to cautiously press forward. Cypress scowled, and then the doves elongated into sharp swords.

With a snap of the demons fingers, the sword pointed at the officers and rushed forward. Bronze closed his eyes as he heard the sickening thud of the bodies hitting the ground. Looker and Blake remained, but they no longer advanced. Cypress started yelling.

"FOOLS! NAIVEITE! HOW DARE YOU DEFY THE CHOSEN OF THE MOST HIGH? BE SILENT! BE STILL! I HAVE COME TO RID THE EARTH OF THE DESTABLE ROACHS THAT INFESTED IT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING WHO CHOSE TO WORSHIP THE FOOLISH MYTH ARCEUS! I AM THE VERY SPIRIT OF POWER AND AUTHORITY! I AM THE ONLY ONE DESERVING THE WORSHIP OF THE NATIONS! I...AM...GOD!"

Cypress screamed, and a whirlwind enveloped everyone. Bronze could barley see Tess shaking with fear, overwhelmed by the horror of this evil man. Peeking over at Red, Bronze could see Yellow fast asleep, exhausted at having pulled him back from the brink of death. One of the officers was still alive, with Moon and Crystal trying to stabilize him, but it was ultimately futile as he finally died from shock and blood loss.

The whirlwind died down, and Cypress once again stood calm, with a content smile on his face. "As every eye may see, none may defy me and live. ADMIN TYLER!" Tyler squealed in fright, and trembled as he replied. "Yes, my lord?"

"Are the explosives still active?"

"Yes, my lord."

"And this is the correct detonator?"

"Yes, my lord."

Once again addressing the whole group, Cypress pronounced his judgement. "I do remember saying that we wouldn't be using those explosives, didn't I? Of course, when I said that, I spoke with only the authority of a man, not the very creator of the world. I see it more fit to continue the punishment the citizens of this city deserve. The explosives will be detonated shortly."

A gasp of horror and disgust can from all around, even from some of the Eclipse members. Commander Kett got up from his kneeling position, somehow finding the courage to stare down his leader.

"No! You cannot do this! Even more civilians will die needlessly! You yourself said that you wanted to keep casualties to a minimum! Reconsider!" Cypress eyed him coldly. "And what has sparked such a desire for nobility in you, Kett?" Kett sputtered, and then got his courage back. "Well, sir, my mother and father live here. I don't know if they got out in time, and even if they fled to the ships below, the city will fall and crush them! Do not do-"

"SILENCE!" Cypress screamed. "ONE OF MY OWN IS NOTHING BUT A FOOLISH DISSENTER! I WILL SHOW YOU MY POWER, AS IF YOU DID NOT ALREADY KNOW IT!" Cypress outstretched his hand, and opened it. Suddenly, from the cloudy sky, a flaming bolt of purple fire came down and blasted Kett to nothing but ashes. The Eclipse grunts screamed and jumped back, as Kett's ashes drifted away on the wind.

Emerald sent out Sceptile to crush Cypress, but he stretched his hand out, freezing the Sceptile midair. Cypress threw the Pokemon to the side. Looking down at Emerald, Cypress began to talk in a horrible baby voice. "Awwwwww, did the widdle guy wanna give me a booboo, but cwodent get what he wawnted? Weak. Scrawny. Defective. I will purge all the filth from this old earth, as the elements are burned up and the sky rolls away like a sheet!"

Cypress raised his arms, preparing to blast Emerald to nothing, but then a shape came flying out from over the gunship, rocket boosters flaring, and hit Cypress in the skull, smashing it in. A young woman in a wing glider suit land and joined the other Pokedex Holders. "Sorry, I was delayed." Y said.

Cypress should have died, but he got up, purple smoke coming out of hi grotesque head wound. It gradually sealed, broken bones mending themselves, until he was as healthy as the minute before. Giving Emerald a final sneer, Cypress relented of his anger.

Walking back with his henchmen into the gunship hanger, Bronze saw a commotion as some grunts wrestled with a figure Bronze couldn't make out. Cypress turned to Bronze and laughed, eyes glowing brighter. "Bronze, you probably have already figured out that your parents did not join Team Eclipse. We did indeed kidnap them, as I am about to do to your friend." Cypress gestured to the struggling figure, who, to Bronze's horror, was revealed to be Jake.

Jake saw Tess and tried to say something, but the grunts pulled him back into the hanger. "Now." Cypress said, as he held out the detonator. "Wait!" Bronze yelled involuntarily. "You said you would hold up your terms of defeat!" Cypress gave him a sadistic sneer. "I did, didn't I? Don't worry." Cypress tossed Bronze a small blue key. "Go to plasma chute four. Then cut the green and red wires at the same time while holding the stop button. Of course, it will be far too late."

Cypress pressed the button.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

That was how loud the massive blast was. As the Eclipse gunship pulled away, three tons of Turtonator-shell gases ignited and blasted a hole through the plasma chute, causing a superheated shockwave to shatter through the durasteel hulling of Anthien City's bottom. The plasma would react with the atmosphere soon, and ignite the hypermatter annihilation core, destroying all that was left. The city went into freefall, and Bronze and Tess only able to stay still due to the emergency magnetic repulsorlift system.

Suddenly, the city stopped plummeting with a awful jolt. The emergency retrorockets had come on, preventing the inevitable crash and burn. But the city was doomed anyway. All of the security measures, the skill of the Pokedex Holders, the failsafes and shields had been for nothing. Blue was yelling at everyone. "WE CAN GET OUT OF HERE ON OUR POKEMON, BUT THERE ISN'T ENOUGH TIME TO GO BACK AND GET ANYONE ELSE! WE HAVE TO LEAVE THE CITY!"

"WE CAN'T JUST LET THEM DIE!" Yellow screamed, now awake. "YELLOW! THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WE CAN DO! Gold said. "BLAKE, RED, BLUE, LETS START FLYING! GET EVERYONE ON YOUR POKEMON!"

Bronze was numb. He and Tess limped toward Red's revived Gyarados, only wanting to finally get off the doomed hulk of a city. And then everything changed.

Everything.

Nothing moved. It was like the world had been put on pause. Bronzne looked at Tess, and she was the only other person who was not frozen. It was quiet. Far too quiet.

In a blazing flash of light, two gigantic Pokémon appeared. One was armored and bipedal, almost pearllike in color, while the other was quadruped, with a slanted head and diamond in hue. Also, Cypress reappeared, although wispy and insubstantial, clearly furious.

"NOOO! YOU CANNOT INTERVENE! YOU ARE NOTHING! YOU ARE SMALLER THEN A MOTE OF DUST, A NUETRINO TO A NEUTRINO COMPARED TO MY POWER!" The shade wailed. The two Pokémon looked with wrath upon Pseudo-Cypress. They began speaking, although it seemed to resound directly into Bronzes mind. "OUR ONLY POWER IS GIVEN TO US FROM OUR CREATOR, EVIL ONE. YOU ARE FREE AFTER MILLENIUM OF LONG IMPRISONMENT, AND YOU INDWELL THIS MAN, PRETENDING TO BE GREATER THEN THE LORD ARCEUS. MAY THE ONE REBUKE YOU! YOU, IN YOUR ARROGANCE, SAW CREATED BEINGS HAVING LESS POWER THEN THE CREATOR AS A CRIME TO BE AVENGED, NOT A JUST SEPARATION."

"HA! I DO NOT ANSWER TO YOU! I WILL NOT COME OUT OF HIM. HE HAS GIVEN HIMSELF, BODY AND SOUL, TO MY AUTHORITY! YOUR ATTEMPTS AT REWRITING HISTORY ARE LAUGHABLE! IS THIS WHO YOU SEND TO DO IT? A CHILD AND A SCHOOLGIRL?" Dialgia and Palkia assumed a protective stance infront of Bronze and Tess.

Dialgias voice spoke directly to Bronze. "We will fight the Evil One in your stead. Go to the depths of this city, as I shall rewind the very flow of time to give you this one opportunity. Cypress, in his foolishness, has given you the key to the core room. Go! May the blessing of the one be upon you! Bronze shook with excitement. "Yes, sir! I will! But why did you pick me, and not anyone else?"

Dialgia answered simply. "That is not for you to know until the due time. Many trials still await, even if you save this city. You must defeat him! GO!" Bronze and Tess turned and ran through the misty waste as Pseudo-Cypress and the two great beasts began to battle.

As they ran back to the site of the maintenance hatch, the world became gray and blurred. Things seemed to shift and change, repairing themselves, and breaking again. Shadows moved in bizarre backwards walks, while the sun became as black as sackcloth. As the ghostly Anthien Hotel gradually became more and more clear, Bronze and Tess ran behind the bulk and through a unlocked maintenance hatch.

Running through the ghostly gray sewers, Bronze saw hypermatter waste that would normally be neon blue flow backwards through the transparent tubes. Passing the area where the old transport still sat, through the computer labs, holding cells, coolant tanks, Bronze finally located plasma hatch number four.

As he unlocked and opened the shimmering door, color began to return to the world. The sounds of the assault above continued as well, as that was how far they must have been sent back. Humming over a massive bomb, was Eclipse Admin Tyler, hunched, proud, and totally oblivious to the two youths who had just walked in. In front of the bomb was a black-blue tube that housed some sort of fast-moving energy.

Bronze sent out Electavire, while Tess sent out Garchomp. The noise of the balls opening alerted Tyler to their presence. Turning swiftly, his eyes bulged in shock. "HOW...HOW DID YOU GE IN HERE? NO ONE HAS THE KEY EXCEPT ME AND MY BOSS! ELECTRODE, BLAST THEM!"

Sending out a Electrode, Bronze could see itself getting ready for a self-destruct. Bronze ordered Electivire to launch it backwards into Tyler, who gasped in shock from the impact. Garchomp rushed forward and threw both Admin and Pokémon down the wide ventilation shaft just a split second before the massive explosion from Electrode. As the smoke cleared, Bronze peered over and saw Tyler's body being incinerated in the fiery plasma stream.

Turing their attention back to to the bomb, Bronze disabled the wiring with a pocketknife while Tess read him the instructions and held the STABLEIZE button. Eventually, the Turtonator gas containers could be removed and deactivated. It was over.

Their mission done, Bronze and Tess yelled with delight and ran back up through the ruined streets, where they saw Cypress perform his miracles and try to detonate the explosives. At that moment, the past Bronze and Tess vanished, and the current Bronze and Tess joined the other perplexed at the failure of the explosives as the gunship flew a safe way from the city before suddenly disappearing. The two sprinted over the the others, who were trying to figure a way on how to tell Oak and the Chairman the news that Cypress was The Hood.

They had saved the city. It was done.
