Cypress was mounted on Kyurem's back, his voice magnified many times then normal.
Tess and Crystal looked on in shock as the legendries circled around, ready to fight for Cypress. Most of the crowd was now gone, except for those who were going to stay and fight. Some attacks were given, but they simply were absorbed by the legendries.
"People of Earth, let you see my judgement come to full pass! Soon, a new world will overtake the old, a new seed coming from a rotting plant. Let it be known that all who oppose me shall fall, but those who believe in my divinity will inherit eternal life in paradise! As follows, may this unholy temple of suffering be razed to ash! Ho-Oh! Lugia! Kyurem! Sacred Fire! Aeroblast! Glaciate!"
The combined attack of fire, air, and ice made the arena explode, a massive shockwave crushing the bleachers and breaking glass.
Tess got up from her covered position, and saw Titus flying Bronze and Unger back to safety on his Klingklang. The Elite Four were also working to evacuate the remaining civilians, and the Chairman.
Tess was watching the spread of the rift come to a full stop, when Crystal pulled her away. "Listen! We have to get to a safer level and figure out why this is happening! Come on!"
The two ran down through the passageways, dodging running spectators, and finally reached a clear hallway. Two others were running toward them, Professor Rowan and Mr. Berlitz.
"Crystal!" Rowan gasped. "This rift, I measured the energies in it, and what it leads to-" Another figure bumped into him, cutting him off. Diamond and Pearl had also arrived, and the look on Diamonds face showed that he knew something about what was going on.
"Its just like before!" He said, glancing through a broken window pane at the unnatural portal. "I can feel it, and this is the fourth time. Even from here I can feel its energy..."
"Diamond, what do you mean?" Mr. Berlitz said. "You can't possibly think that Cypress..."
Rowan looked even more grim. "If young master Diamond is correct, then it is true." Tess didn't know what they meant. "What's true? What is it about that rift that you know about?"
Tess looked through the rift again, and saw some very faint shapes, like floating islands. "What we are saying," Rowan announced, "is that Cypress has opened a rift to the..."

Bronze woke up on a Klingklang, aching all over.
"All you all right?" Titus said. "You were thrown unconscious when Cypress blasted the arena. Unger is much worse, however. You both are lucky you survived!"
"How long have I been out?" Bronze asked. "Only about five minutes. Odd, isn't it?" Bronze focused on the sky, and saw that Cypress and his legendries were rising higher toward the rift.
"How could this have happened? I was told that extreme security precautions were in place!" Titus glared at the rift. "It appears that we were only prepared for a physical assault. If the airship came, we would have easily destroyed it. But teleportation technology...we were lacking in that field. It can't really be prevented without killing the teleporter, and that is not something we wished to do."
"As much as Team Eclipse ideology goes, I would assume this to be the gateway to a new world. But..." Bronze heard him pause, and sat up, minding his pain. "And you don't, because..."
Titus gestured at the land behind the rift. "Look very closely. Do you see a incomprehensible energy coming to destroy us? No. the rift has stopped spreading, and nothing is moving out of it. My scanners also indicate a highly abnormal kind energy, but not something you could rewrite physical laws with. I would say this is something else, although seeing Cypress so glad, they were expecting it. And when did he ever capture Lugia..."
The Klingklang touched down in a grassy clearing outside the stadium. Titus stepped off, and called the Chairman.
"Sir, Bronze and Unger are safe, but we need a plan of action. Perhaps we can gather and close the rift with a powerful attack?"
"We don't have any other choice. We are disoriented, but should be able to regroup soon. Head back to the stadium at once!"
Titus exited the call, and turned to Bronze. "I advise you stay here for the time being, given you and Unger's condition. Make sure that you are safe! Goodbye, contestant." Titus flew of on the Klingclang, and Bronze was left standing in the grass.

"...Distortion World!"
Tess had never heard of that place. "What's the Distortion World? Why would Cypress need to go there to create a new world?"
"The Distortion World is a dimension on the parallel side to ours, and where Giratina was banished. There is no up or down, left or right, and hardly and sense of distance or time. Why Cypress would go there, I cannot say. Perhaps he believes its instability could influence a new worlds creation, although that would most likely just-"
There was a pop, and a smell of sulfur. A robed figure had just appeared next to the six, wielding a staff and smiling sadistically. The dark haze cleared, and Tess could see that it was Emrett.
"EMRETT!" Pearl yelled. "What are you doing here?! Chimler, Flare Blitz!" The Infernape used its attack, but Emrett simply teleported to the side, causing the Pokémon to run into the opposing wall, and faint unconscious.
"I assure you, your ability in combat is lesser then mine. Let me answer some of your questions...gyahahaha..."
"Why the Distortion World, you ask? The precise lair of the great Djinn lies within. What a black sin it would be for such a place to lay within the ordinary world! From the great Djinn creating a gateway to Elysium, the energy will spread through that land, exit the rift, and engulf everything! The world at last will be complete! Hahahah...our victory is certain. It doesn't matter if I tell you this or not, anyway. Goodbye, condemned souls..."
Emrett disappeared, and the six stood shocked.
"We have to tell everyone this!" Crystal said. "Send out a message on the Holocaster network, the secure lines, the Internet, anything we can! Lets get to work, or everything will be destroyed! Go! Now!"
Rowan and Mr. Berlitz started telling everyone the news, while Cypress continued circling the rift.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Bronze couldn't stand waiting any longer. After seeing that Unger would live, Bronze left with his Pokémon to go back inside the stadium to see what he could do to help.
Sneaking through the partially destroyed halls, Bronze eventually reached the collapsed arch of the stadium entrance. Cypress seemed oblivious to what was happening on the ground, so Bronze told his Pokémon to get ready to attack when the time came.
And it did come. Only ten minutes later, Bronze noticed that many trainer were out on the arena and ruined bleachers with their Pokémon, getting ready to make a gigantic blow to the rift.
A announcement came through the only still functioning loudspeaker. "Everyone! Use your most powerful attack on Cypress and the rift! Get ready to strike in three, two, one..."
Bronze hit the rift with everything, he had, and so did the others. The combined energy seemed to form a radiant shield, racing upwards. The heat and electricity was incredible, and Bronze thought that some of the people on the ground could be injured.
Cypress was still too quick, and his three captured Pokémon managed to just barely dodge the incinerating wave. Pillars of raw power reached out of the blast once it hit the rift, causing Cypress to fall lower to the ground.
Once the light cleared, though, the rift simply had not increased or decreased. Its shape didn't even change. The energy seemed to have gone through it instead of closing it. This portal couldn't be closed by force, no matter how strong.
Cypress saw the people on the ground, and laughed as loud as he could. "Did you seriously think that you could close it by attacking it? Completely pointless! I should get rid of you all, now that you are here. Sacred Fire-"
The attack never finished. Rather, a beam of light came from the clouds, smashing into Kyurem. Cypress nearly fell off, and he looked in rage at the spot of ozone, which was now moving closer.
The defenders were moving off the arena, sensing that a incredible fight was about to take place. Around the moving ozone, two other small shapes flew closer, with riders on them. Cypress also sensed a powerful being within the ozone, and ordered Ho-Oh and Lugia to flank him.
A hole opened in the cloud for a second, and Bronze could see a snake-like green dragon. The ozone was now flowing around Cypress, staring him down. The other two shapes flew around Ho-Oh and Lugia, taunting them.
The ozone cleared at the Pokémon inside shot another beam at Kyurem, and the Dragon Lord Rayquaza was revealed in its full glory.
"Did you miss us?" Emerald yelled from atop the head of Rayquaza, he and Zinnia giving its commands with aid of the Green Orb Core. Ruby and Sapphire rode on Latias and Latios, both Mega Evolved.
Back in the tunnels, Birch and Oak received a call from Sapphire. "Hey, pop! Looks like we made it just in time, huh?"
"What happened?! Why in the world were you gone for so long? And how did you manage to win over Rayquaza?!"
"I got a whole lot to tell ya, but that's for another time. Speaking of Rayquaza, it actually seemed to wanna to come with us when we told it what we were gonna do with it. Maybe it wants to fight with all the rest of ya. I have to get back to the fight, I'll see ya later!"
Kyurem lunged at Rayquaza, freezing it over. The Dragon Lord broke the frost, and crushed Kyurem in midair, sending it flying down. Cypress managed to jump from Kyurems back on Rayquaza's tail, clinging on with superhuman strength.
Ho-Oh and Lugia were locked in combat with the illusive duo of legendries, too slow to be able to do any real damage. Eventually, they would be defeated, but seeing that Kyurem was down for the time, Rayquaza flew down, ready to destroy the controlled legendries.
Cypress lifted himself up with unnatural effort, and summoned his blade. Before anyone could knock him off, he plunged it down, impaling Rayquaza through its tail segment. The Dragon Lord roared in pain, and lost focus, rampaging about. Emerald fell off, but was caught by Ruby and Latias. Cypress leapt along the writhing coils, his eyes set on Zinnia.
Zinnia sent out Salamance, but Cypress leaped over it and pushed it to the side, and then it was hit by Rayquaza's tail, making it drop to the ground. Zinnia tried to drop so that one of the others would catch her, but Rayquaza bucked its head up, causing Zinnia to tumble right toward Cypress, who impaled her through the gut.
Rayquaza instinctively roared at its companions mortal wound, and tried to swoop down to catch the falling Zinnia. Cypress blasted it with lightning, stopping it in midair. Latios and Latias zipped down at a even faster speed, trying to catch Zinnia.
Just before they could save her, two bolts of plasma hit the flying Pokémon, sending them and their riders careening away. Norman's Vigoroth leaped up and caught Zinnia only a second before she hit the ground at terminal velocity. The Pokémon laid her in the grass, and gave the others a sad look.
A bulk appeared from where the blasts of plasma had originated, and the gunship appeared, it guns still trained on the fighters in the air. It droned on, heading into the rift before disappearing into the darkness. Other smaller vehicles followed it in, along with grunts on flying Pokémon. Kyurem and the legendries flew in as well, with Cypress himself jumped onto a smaller craft, and escaping into the rift.
But no one was paying any attention to the events above. They were all looking at Zinnia's lifeless body, some weeping, others shocked, and some bursting with rage.
Latios and Latias landed down, and Sapphire busted into sobs. Ruby clenched his fists and screamed curses at Cypress as the last remnants of the fleet disappeared into the void.
The Chairman walked over and closed Zinnia's eyes. "She will be given a proper cremation, among her own people. We will remember her as a fallen warrior, who perished fighting for the world she loved. Let her spirit be carried over the sea to the Halls of Arceus, where she will have eternal peace forevermore. Another senseless tragedy has been perpetrated by the inhuman thing that was once Professor Cypress. We will avenge the officers, the citizens of Anthien, Spenser, those who perished in the arena attack, and now the lady of the Draconids."
Suddenly, Emrett appeared floating in the air, laughing. With a flick of his staff, a bolt of lightning gave Zinnia her ritual cremation right then and there.
Emrett disappeared, but the uproar was so loud that it could be heard far outside the stadium. Most people, Ruby and Sapphire included, used any method possible of flying up to the rift, bringing others with them. Bronze and Tess grabbed ahold of Charizard, and Magnezone flew Flannery and Watson up as well, yelling as they flew.
The battle for the fate of the world was just starting.
Above the earth, the spirits Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie watched all events that occurred. Only they knew the fate of the world. They had always known.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
In the Distortion World, Emrett appeared next to Cypress on the command ship.
"I have enraged them, with a final insult to their fallen kin. Do you have any misgivings about my decision, lord?"
"No. Those who are blinded by fury are easier to control. They will fight, but our victory is already ensued."
"And what shall we do now, my lord?"
"We must find the ruler of this world, although it is more likely he will come to us."
"And to what end, my lord?"
"We will set course for the site of a new creation! Hidden away, lies the proxy form of the great Djinn. Soon, we shall venture to the Demon's Tomb!"
The fleet continued onward, never gaining, never lagging behind. It sunk deeper and deeper into the distorted land, as their enemy arrived behind them.
