Emrett was being pushed into a corner, seemingly only able to defend himself along with his acolytes. The battel would definitely be over soon, but either Emrett couldn't see that, or he was to proud to admit defeat.
"You will never best me!" Emrett boasted. "I am the Strong Man of the armies of the Spirit-Force! You will all crumble! Boreas, now!" Boreas hit the ground with his staff, and Emretts trap was sprung.
A dome of fire appeared around the opposing fighters, trapping them. Terrakion charged at the side, only to be knocked back, not a scratch in the flames.
Emrett was regaining his strength, gloating over his clever plan. "Ha! I had you believe that you could defeat me...but all the while, Freya was spreading small particles from her gris-gris around you! I have caged the Swords of Justice, the former leaders of various organizations, and the Kalos Pokedex Holders without the aid of Pokémon! I suppose you'll all suffocate eventually. But your going to die even if you escaped. Goodbye, my dear rivals."
He turned to go, but was interrupted by a wet thump. Emrett turned in confusion, and saw a arrow sticking out of Boreas's neck. Another arrow hit Freya, and the two wonder worker fell, dead.
Emrett heard another dart whistling toward him, and he grabbed it with impossible speed. "Who dares...who dares slay my acolytes? Show yourself, so I may extract a toll upon you!"
"Shup up, already." A voice said. "I hate you sorcerers even more then cops. So full of yourselves, doing little magic tricks, hoping that someone will think that what you say is true. I don't have anything better to do then come here and crush some Eclipse heads." A woman stepped into view from behind a tree made of rock, dressed in old Team Skull gear.
"And you are..." Emrett said, and the woman finished for him. "Plumeria of Team Skull! And I am going to kill you, here and now, for what you did to my old friends!"
Emrett could have easily killed her, but he seemed content with just avoiding her arrows and attacks. "What are you referring too? I believe I have killed a few Team Skull members here and there, just in case they got to far in snooping in my affairs!" Plumera growled, and continued attacking.
A faint aura seemed to be gathering around Emrett, who was laughing louder by the second. The bodies of Boreas and Freya vanished into ash, and Emrett was more terrible then ever, his eyes glowing violet.
"Ah...what a incomparable sensation! Upon your foolish disposal of my students, the essence of the spirit force that I imbued in them began to return to me! I am far more powerful then ever..." Emrett drew back, and looked up, drowning in orgasmic stupor. "I have ascended."
A vile cloud covered his body, and Emrett roared in victory. Plumeria was hoisted up by some unseen force, and was thrown at the speed of sound into the void, where she hit another island with a pronounced crack.
Emrett laughed in his villainy, and turned to face the captives, dark aura radiating from him. "I suppose I could just leave. But...it would be wiser just to do in with the lot of you now. You may have some sort of trick to get out that I have not accounted for...BURN!"
He raised his staff, and the fiery globe began to slowly shrink. "Attack!" Lance yelled. "Or we'll all be incinerated!" The prisoners of the shield pushed back with all their might, but it still creeped inward.
"You cannot stop my curse once it had begun! My life force is directly tied to your cage! Such is the might of me, Lord Emrett of the Eclipse Alliance-"
Emrett stopped gloating, and turned to see a cloud of shapes travelling toward him from the rift. "Hmm...are those..."
A transport shaped like a egg flew down from the orbiting shapes, holding two figures in its mechanical arms. "Boss!" Saturn yelled at Cyrus from inside the pod. "We saw what happened at the League, and we left with the Draconids from Meteor Village! We'll get everyone out, just hang in there!"
A barrage of attacks hit around Emrett, who just managed to evade the onslaught. The Draconids warriors flew around, regardless of the distortion, yelling in rage.
"We are the warriors of the Draconid Tribe, chosen of the Dragon Lord! And we will never forget what you did to Zinnia! Prepare to die!"
Emrett gripped his staff, and charged.

Tess jumped aside from Vikivolt's next attack, and turned her attention to defeating Linda.
"Lorelei! Can you make of those ice dolls again? Got a situation here..." Lorelei nodded, ad sent out Jynx. The Pokémon blew out a ice doll in the shape of Linda, and drew a mark on the arm.
Linda was now bound, but she sent out a Smeargle. "Smeargle, Sketch!" The Pokémon produced another ice doll, this one in the shape of Lorelei. Smeargle drew marks on its arms and legs, and Lorelei was now totally frozen over.
"Ha...that one thought she could beat me with her little dolls...she should have gone for the mouth. Now for you, Tess, I have been wishing for a rematch! Be on your guard!" Linda sent out the rest of her Pokémon, intent on crushing Tess into submission.
While Garchomp was contesting with Mightyena, Haxorus fought with Pangoro and Smeargle. Salamance took on Vikivolt, creating a high-speed aerial battle. The distortion in midair, however, made the fight extremally bizarre, attacks only landing when relative to another island or Pokémon.
"You are fighting well..." Linda observed. "But not quite enough! I am far older, stronger, and more experienced! Even if you had a type advantage, I would still beat you!" And it was true. Linda's Pokémon were simply far to strong. Smeargle and Mightyena had been defeated, but Haxourus had been defeated as well, and Garchomp and Salamance were on their last burst of energy.
"Sigh...Pangoro, finish this. Mach Punch!" Pangoro leaped at Salamance, crushing its head. There was a flash of light, and Pangoro had been cut over the head by Garchomp, knocking it out.
"WHAT?! That crippled Pokémon couldn't have possibly made a strike that powerful! Wait..." Linda saw that Garchomp had changed its form, and looked far stronger. "You?! A successor? Ridiculous! Well, Vikivolt should be able to defeat this Mega Evolving pest..."
Vikivolt buzzed around Garchomp, too fast for it to catch. Tess was already exhausted from the strain of Mega Evolving, and could anything else be done, besides-
Tess reacted without any hesitation. She threw a small crystal to Garchomp, and put her fingers to a glimmering ring on her arm.
"DEVASTATING DRAKE!"
Linda saw the wave of energy coming at her, but it was to late to move. She and Vikivolt were blasted into the void, tumbling into nothingness, screaming as oblivion closed in around her.
Tess collapsed. She hardly could comprehend the strain of both Mega Evolving and using a Z-Move. The distortion was also jeopardizing her health, so the best thing to do was to simply take a long nap.

Cypress was pacing when he summoned Colress.
"Your purpose is finished at the site of the ritual. Go with Ghetsis, and eliminate the Pokedex Holder Blake! Do not leave him alive! You are the one most skilled for this, as you have experience fighting him. After you have done this, go and defeat Regigigas and the Sinnoh Pokedex Holders. You may use the specialized Genesect. Dismissed."
Colress bowed, and left for the holding vessels. After entering the main hold, Colress located Ghetsis.
"Ghetsis. The master had ordered you to accompany me to defeat the Pokedex Holder Blake. Come with me at once." Ghetsis briskly got up, not reluctent in the least. It was Blake and those other Pokedex Holders who had ruined his ambition! His true dream! The ideals of Team Eclipse were the direction the world was heading, and it seemed that the would succeed in their vision.
Ghetsis and Colress flew out of a small gap in the energy field that Cypress had created, and searched for their target.
Seeing Blake on his own Genesect through the distortion, Colress flew down on the specialized Genesect to him, Ghetsis tailing along. Blake heard the droning, and was nearly killed by a direct shot from the Genesect's cannon, only his body armor saving him.
Colress steered around for another shot, but was knocked to the side by Blake's Genesect, causing the second Techno Blast to fire of course, accidently incinerating a grunt. Ghetsis sent out his Pokémon to finish the job, while Colress fought against the counterpart Pokémon.
"Ghetsis..." Blake said, glaring. "Back again? Couldn't stay in prison where you belong...Glisott, Acupressure! Dewott, Razor Shell!"
Dewott blocked a stream of fire from Hydreigon, and delivered a flurry of strikes. Ghetsis was not deterred, and created a storm of fire with Volcarona.
"I will not be defeated again! You and your ideals have taken away my dream of world where people and Pokémon are separated for their mutual benefit far too many times! At last, revenge is mine! The new world will be pure, a perfect shell untainted by truth or ideals! And I will kill you as a parting insult to the old order of things!"
Blake laughed. "You actually believe that? Is that what Cypress told you? Whatever you think is going to happen, that new world is going to be one that Cypress rules, whether you like or not. Cypress is using you! He doesn't care about Team Plasma getting what they want, or you for that matter." Ghetsis screamed, and continued to press on.
Colress, due to his specialized Red Genesect, was winning against the original Genesect model. "No Victini here to save you now! Switch to Flame Drive...and Techno Blast!"
Blake's Genesect fainted, and Colress swooped down for a final hit, Blake's other Pokémon prevented from moving by Ghetsis.
A person leaped in front of Blake, confusing the Genesect's targeting sensors. Colress orbited around to see who had interfered with his triumph.
"Well, I am surprised at this one, although perhaps I am learning not to...Natural Harmonia Gropius, of all people!" N stood resolute. "Colress. Father. Leave now. You know that Cypress is using you to achieve a end which does not benefit anyone but himself. Perhaps there is hope for you yet-"
Colress interrupted N. "You call Ghetsis your...father? But you are not his son! And he knows it! Well? What are you waiting for, Ghetsis? Kill this silly boy! Lord Cypress said that he would give you this opportunity! I cede control of Genesect to you for this honor..."
Ghetsis stepped behind Red Genesect, but he seemed to be straining every part of his being to do so, sweating not from the heat of the firestorm. Colress noticed his hesitation and started to rant. "Do it! Why do you fear this victory? Do you...love him? Ridiculous! Get to it, or I'll do it myself!" N stood, not moving at all.
Ghetsis opened his mouth to speak, but to Colress, not Genesect. "You are right...I...do not love him. But now...the only thing that I would be more willing to kill...is Cypress. I only wish for the new world, not Cypress in it. And you are a representative of Cypress. So, the thing I most hate...is you."
Colress gaped in shock, and Ghetsis turned Genesect around, and fired.
The scientist looked in puzzlement at the hole in his chest, gave a bloody cough, and fell over the edge of the island into the void.
N looked in shock at his adopted father. Ghetsis gave him one more sad look, and flew on the back of Genesect out of the rift, taking his Pokémon with him.
Back on the main island, Cypress felt the death of Colress echoing through his being. Screaming in rage, he realized that the only way he had not sensed the disloyalty of Ghetsis was the fact that he was devoted to the cause, not him! And now Colress was gone...a regrettable loss, but he still had Xerosic.
Now, everything was complete...except for the Brick. He would have to get Bronze to the site of the ritual, as the exchange would only function if it occurred at the very site of its usage. Such arcane rules...too many complications.
Cypress called Eric on his specially developed communication device. "Admin, you are to extract Lusamine and the archeologists to the central chamber. Board the flagship at once!"
"Yes, my lord." Eric ended the call, leaving Cypress to his own thoughts.
