Every engine is historic in their own right. They have their own stories to tell over the years, and the older they get, the more valuable they are to any historian interested in their tales. These are some of the stories we'd like to tell you about their value to the railway's history.

Stanley is upset about having to shunt coaches and freight cars in the yard, as he misses pulling trains, so when an engine is needed for a few jobs, Stanley leaps at the chance to do work that isn't shunting, but he soon realizes the importance of that job.

Emily learns that David has been missing his mother, Beatrice, having not seen her since he left to join the Navy at the age of seventeen. Twelve years have passed since then, and David decides to travel across England and Scotland with Emily to find Beatrice. But on their journey, they soon discover that the rumours about an old enemy returning are in fact true.

After a series of misfortunes, Rosie is invited to transfer to the Ffarquhar Branch Line.

Percy is new to Thomas’ branch line and still prone to mishaps. Thomas finds it a huge joke! But in the end, it’s the other engines who get the last laugh!

In the episode "Emily's New Coaches", Emily saved Oliver when he got stuck on the crossing. However, according to a piece of concept art, Oliver's role was originally meant for Toby, and Percy may have been considered as well. I honestly think that Toby would've been a much better choice for that role, and Percy would've been okay too. Just a little "what could've been" fanfic.

A little bit of truth we found out about the Old Warrior Bertram

Emily hasn't had a big or exciting adventure in some time, but after another storm hits the Island of Sodor, she gets her chance when Nia agrees to let Emily take the Sodor Rangers on a camping trip to Callan Castle. Emily is overjoyed, but last night's storm has caused problems on the line, and Emily soon finds herself derailed, but it turns out to be a good thing in the end.

The docks are under control, and the diesels are all back in business. Most of the steam engines have readjusted to their schedules, but Emily has become a complete night owl, feeling active at night and fast asleep during the day. While Emily begins to take up night jobs, David is very concerned about her current well-being.

After a series of accidents put most of the diesel engines out of action, the Steam Team have been forced to tackle the diesels jobs as well as their own, and just when everyone thinks that the pressure is off them, the extra work continues pilling on top of them. Even with the promise of help from an old friend, the constant lack of sleep becomes too much for the engines.

This is a fanfic of the NWR before the steam team was completed.

Two new female engines from Scotland arrive on Sodor for a trial run, and Donald and Douglas fall smokebox-over-tender at them.

Gordon still can't explain his exact feelings for Rebecca. Soon after, Spencer returns to Sodor, and it's not long before he and Gordon start getting competitive with each other once again, causing Gordon to be sent to the Steamworks. With Gordon under repair, he and Rebecca take the time to reflect on their true feelings for each other, before finally confronting each other.

In the sixth book of "The Untold Railway Series", we will witness the restoration of the Ballahoo Branch Line after the Fat Controller decides to buy it from the other railway.
