Set in the middle of season four. Sherlock is sober once again, his relationship with his father behind him. His friendship with Joan is stronger than ever, but one case ends up affecting them more than they thought it would. Inspired by a joke from an A.V. club review. Case!fic. As promised yesterday on tumblr, here is my "anniversary-thank you for reading all my stuff for the past two years" fic. I'm posting it here, on tumblr and AO3 and then (hopefully) taking a small month long hiatus to recharge the batteries. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your kindness and support of the multitude of joanlock I've foisted on you.

Set post the episode 1x17 "Possibility Two". While they are camping in order to solve a very unusual case, Sherlock decides to further put Joan's newfound detective talent to the test, but things don't turn out the way he was hoping. Slight, platonic Joanlock. Oneshot.

It was like they both came uncorked then. They were a flurry of lips and limbs, skin and bone and plaid bed sheets. It was something that had been inevitable since the day they had first met and Sherlock knew the age old adage was very real. A man and a woman couldn't just be friends. Rated T. Joanlock.

Observing is more than seeing...or so Sherlock claims. Yet the people in his life deserve more observation than he gives them. Each chapter is centered around one of the "regular irregulars" who inhabit the world of Joan and Sherlock. More character-driven than mystery, though there's some of that, too.

Tyler promised that he'd be there for her, forever. Kitty wonders if he still means forever. There's only one terrifying way to find out. She books her flight back to Essex, the place she and her friends grew up. But, what if it's Kitty who needs to keep her side of the promise and let Tyler be there for her?

Too much time spent together and Joan and Sherlock agree - they need to just get away from each other. Loosely written, some humor (hopefully), platonic joanlock - mainly from Watson's POV.
