The First Journey.
Quick Note – In the last chapter, I asked you guys if I should do a lemon chapter in the beginning or wait until a few chapters are posted and after a few weeks, I made up my mind about the decision I'm about to say.
I have decided to not write any lemon chapters in the story for two reasons. One, it's much too early to have a lemon chapter. And two, this is literally the first story of Kingdom Hearts. Having lemons in the first story doesn't seem right to me. So, I'm not going to write any lemon chapters. There will be a medium amount of smut, but no lemons.
Also, I have been thinking lately and I just came up with it a few days ago. Whenever Sora, Donald and Goofy are at a world, they are going to change their outfits to blend in with them. For example, since Agrabah is an Arabian town, they would wear Arabian outfits and since Wonderland is a land filled with wonder, Donald and Goofy would be reading dress suits and Sora would be wearing a dress.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say about the dress code and no lemon chapters. Let's head right into the chapter.
Enjoy the chapter.
Chapter Four: Last Day at Destiny Islands.
(The Next Day at Destiny Islands; With Sora)
It was another beautiful and hot day in Destiny Islands, and the islanders on the main island were either relaxing on the beach, fishing in the ocean or cooking food on their grills. The atmosphere was cheery and filled with children's laughter, which would make the adults or older siblings softly smile. There was nothing that could ruin this cheery atmosphere.
However, while the atmosphere was cheery, it paled to comparison of a certain brunette who had a very happy expression on her face and was walking towards the docks of where her boat was with a slight skip in her step. She was oblivious to the surprised looks everyone was giving her as she skip-walk to the docks.
Sora was feeling extremely happy for the very first time during summer vacation, apart from getting the raft build, and it was all because of the events from yesterday. Events that would make Sora's pale face turned red as a tomato. Events that she would cherish in her heart until the day of her death.
'I still can't believe that Riku is now my boyfriend!' Sora thought with an inward squeal of delight, as she replayed the confession moment between her and Riku in her mind, which caused a very fond smile to spread across her face. 'I always dreamed of becoming Riku's girlfriend when I was a little girl, and now that I'm his girlfriend, it's like a dream come true! I am so happy that Riku and me are in a relationship!'
Sora reached the docks of where her boat was, untied the rope that was connected to the docks, got on said boat and started rowing towards the play-island. As she rowed to the island, the very fond smile on her face never faltered at all, even as the blazing sun and heatwave making her sweat a bit. Once she arrived at the island, Sora tied her boat to the single wooden dock with the other two boats, which belong to Riku and Kairi, and began looking around the island to find Riku and Kairi.
"They must be on the other side of the island, working on the raft." Sora mused after she was done looking around the island for a few minutes and head towards the wooden door that leads to the other side of the play-island. However, when she entered the other side of the island, she was surprised to see Riku standing at the edge of a raised platform with his back facing the brunette. He didn't seem to notice Sora, a fact that made her sad, but the feeling vanished when a sly grin appeared on Sora's face as she thought of a sneaky plan. A plan that might scared the living daylights out of her boyfriend.
With the said plan in her mind and still having that sly grin on her face, Sora slowly and quietly made her way towards Riku.
Riku was staring at the endless blue ocean with a stoic look on his face, successfully hiding the emotions he wanted to show on his face, but couldn't hid the emotions in his cyan eyes, which was filled with triumph, happiness, gleefulness, hopefulness and giddiness. The reason why he was hiding those emotions was because he had finally finished it. He had finished building the raft. The raft that would carry him, Kairi and Sora away from the islands and into another world. The raft that would finally take Riku away from the place he wanted to get away from when he was a little kid.
'Just one day left.' Riku thought, staring at the endless ocean with unblinking eyes. 'Just one day until I can leave this prison. Despite me liking the islands, I want to go see other worlds…and try to make Sora happy so that she can forget about the nasty rumors about her. That is a promise I'm going to keep.'
Riku's thoughts were interrupted when he felt feminine arms wrapped around his torso and two large and very soft objects being pressed against his back, causing the silver-hair man to become startled so much that he nearly jumped. He didn't even hear someone approaching him from behind! Riku was about to throw the person off him when he heard a voice whispered huskily and seductively in his ear. "Guess who?"
Riku instantly relax when he recognized the voice; he thought it was a random girl on the island and that thought scared him a bit. There were sometimes that he hated his status as a famous bachelor, and it was a private reason why he wanted to get away from the islands. However, he had more important matters to deal with than think about his status as a bachelor.
Like dealing with the girl who had just scared the living daylights out of Riku. The girl he had just confessed his feelings for.
Wanting payback and decided to mess with his girlfriend, Riku put up a mock-thoughtful look on his face before answering the question. "Hmmm…is it Kairi?" Riku's reply was silence for a moment before the arms around his torso and the two large and very soft objects was pulled away, which caused the silver-hair man to become disappointed with the latter. He was enjoying feeling those soft objects! However, he didn't had time to think about it when he received a slap to the arm.
"It is not Kairi, you prat!" Sora hissed with an angry look on her face. "The first letter you're looking for starts with an 'S' and ends with an 'A'."
Riku chuckled a bit before turning around to face the angry Sora. "I was going to say the girl I love first, but since someone scared the living daylights out of me when I was thinking," Riku paused to give Sora a fake-angry look. "I decided to have some payback and call on the name that popped into my head, which happened to be Kairi."
There it was again, the tendril of jealously that was wrapping around Sora's heart; an ugly emotion she didn't like at all. Even though it was simple payback for scaring the living daylights out of Riku, Sora didn't like how Riku thought of Kairi instead of her and she was starting to doubt if this relationship was just a flunk, which was something the brunette feared above all.
'Calm down, Sora. Just calm down.' Sora thought, trying her best to get rid of the thoughts about her relationship with Riku being a flunk. 'It's just a simple payback that Riku wanted to get a reaction out of you. I'm sure Riku was just messing around and thought of you first before he said Kairi.'
'But is Riku really messing around?' A dark voice asked in Sora's mind, causing her bright blue eyes to widen a bit. 'You knew how long it took him to answer your question and when he does answer, he said Kairi instead of your name. I think Riku only has feelings for the redhead.'
'You are wrong!' Sora shouted in her mind. 'Riku does have feelings for me! We confessed our feelings yesterday!'
'Feelings can be manipulated.'
Sora wanted to come up with a retort for that but couldn't since the dark voice was right and that caused waves of doubt to fill inside her. It also caused so many what ifs to fill inside her head; what ifs to cause the waves of doubts to skyrocket into alarming height levels. What if the dark voice was right and Riku was manipulating Sora's feelings? What if Riku didn't actually love her?
Whatever what if Sora was about to thought was broken when Riku, who was getting worried that his girlfriend wasn't talking, put a hand on her shoulder and began shaking her as well calling out her name. "Sora? Sora? You there?"
"Huh? Oh, sorry, Riku." Sora said, shaking her head to clear her mind and thoughts. "I lost my train of thought."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Riku asked in a concerned tone.
"No," Sora's response was very quick. "I don't want to talk about it. It was just simple thoughts."
Riku didn't look convinced but dropped it, much to Sora's relief. However, because the subject was dropped, it caused an uncomfortable silence to fill the air.
"So, why were you staring at the ocean, Riku?" Sora asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Did you see something that got your attention?"
"No, I wasn't staring at something, Sora." Riku replied with a shake of his head. "I was simply thinking."
"About what?"
"The day you, me and Kairi are going to depart from the islands and go to another world. That is what I was thinking about."
"Are you saying what I think you're saying, Riku?" Sora asked, feeling a grin spreading across her face. "Are you saying the raft is finished and ready to leave?"
Riku didn't answer the question but grew a smirk on his face and nodded his head.
"YES!" Sora cried out in happiness, doing a fist pump in the air. "After months of planning and getting the building materials, we finally got the raft built and ready to depart! The only things we have to do is name the raft and get the supplies. What are you going to name it?"
"How about Highwind?" Riku suggested, causing Sora to think about the name before shaking her head. "It's not a good name, is it?"
"No, it's a good name, but I was thinking more about Chaosbringer."
"What is with you coming up with names that would strike fear into people?" Riku asked, raising a silver eyebrow in confusion. "I mean, Chaosbringer is a good name, but does it have to be a fear name?"
"I don't know, I just like coming up with fearful names." Sora replied with a sheepish look on her face. "Anyway, we can worry about naming the raft later. We need to go help Kairi with the food and water supplies."
"Sorry but collecting the food and water supplies is your job, Sora." Riku stated, getting a confused look from Sora. "I did all the grunt work of building the raft and Kairi had just deliver her share of food and water supplies. She will be waiting for you at the raft when you collect the food and water supplies."
Sora felt a bit annoyed that she would have to savage around the island and gather the food and water supplies, but she didn't voice it out and just merely nodded her head. "What are you going to do then if you are done with the raft, Riku?"
"I'm going head towards the Secret Place and look at the drawings you, me and Kairi made when we were kids." Riku replied with a small smile on his face. "I want to recollect all the memories of being on the islands before we depart the next day."
Riku's statement caused Sora's grin to change into a soft smile. She knew what the Special Place was; it was a tiny cave that was filled with numerous doodles and drawings the Destiny Trio made when they were kids. It was also a place Sora likes to spend her time in, hiding away from the eyes of the islanders.
'I should do what Riku says and recollect all the memories of being on the islands before me, him and Kairi depart the next day.' Sora thought, planning to explore around the play-island when she's out scavenging for the food and water supplies. She was brought back to the present when Riku started talking.
"You should probably start looking for the rest of the food and water supplies, Sora. It's not wise to keep Kairi waiting." Riku said with a slight grim look on his face, his small smile vanishing. "Believe me, you don't want to keep her waiting."
"Yeah, I know." Sora said, also having a grim look on her face. If there was one thing Riku and Sora feared, even though they would never admit it, it was Kairi's impatience. "I supposed I better get going and start looking around for the supplies. I'll see you later?"
"I'm probably going to head back to the main island after I'm done recollecting my memories, so that would be a no." Riku said, giving Sora an apologetic look.
"Oh, ok then." Sora said, slumping her shoulders a bit and gaining a sad expression on her face, while looking down at the ground. The expression changed from sad to surprise when Riku gently grab her chin and lift her face up so that he can pressed his lips against hers. Sora quickly got out of her surprised state and kissed Riku back with love and passion.
After a few moments of kissing, Sora and Riku pulled their lips away and stared at each other.
"I love you, Sora." Riku said, staring at Sora's beautiful, bright sapphire eyes.
"I love you too, Riku." Sora breathed out, staring at Riku's wonderful cyan eyes.
Giving each other one last kiss, Sora and Riku went their separate ways, with the former going to look for the food and water supplies and the latter heading towards the Secret Place.
I'm going to end the chapter there because I want to get a new chapter posted for one reason: It has been two months since I last updated this story. I hope this chapter is good enough for you guys to enjoy, even though it's kind of short. When I'm writing the fifth chapter, it will be a full chapter instead of a part chapter.
Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
