The Mad Titan Thanos laughs in his giant form, proud of killing someone through a dimension. He mumbles to himself, "three down, one more to go." Due to his large form factor granted from the Infinitrix Gauntlet, the mumbles felt like sonar earthquakes, traveling through the airplane. Below the airplane is a straight hole, conjured by his final target, Kevin Levin.
Kevin's been straight up tearing apart the earth. Every stomp creates a crates tens of miles deep. He's sweating like mad, partially due to the work out, and partially due to the fact he's reaching close to the Earth's core. He smashes, and smashes, and smashes some more, until some magma oozes from a rock. He then sidesteps to a safe surface- a little cave system lit by crystals and pools of lava. He scurries around the area, searching around for gunpowder. He harvests charcoal, sulfur, and niter, and forms a makeshift gunpowder bomb mix. "This will do the trick," he grumbles. He goes back to his hole and drops the bomb, exploding the dense material protecting the core magma. Suddenly, liquid death sprays directly upward. It shoots through the hole, incerates the airplane, and flies right into Thanos' face. The titan cliches and screams in pain.
Down under, Kevin uses some more gunpowder and stone to craft some makeshift explosive Bomb Boots and Bomb Hands. In a rhythmic sequence, he releases explosions under his feet, and sends bombs out of his hands, creating a human drill. He drills upwards, creating a new hole, and eventually emerges from the depths of the Earth. He has his eyes set on a screaming Thanos, so he does a 90 degree flip, restarts his rocket sequence, and pierces right through Thanos' chest, however the mad titan is ready for this- he slams his Infinitrix Gauntlet and transforms into Goop. Kevin's now trapped inside the beast. He shoots some bombs, but Goop warps around the shrapnel. Kevin attempts to break free, hurling his limbs around aimlessly, choking him. Thanos, comfortable again, monologs, "you're not giving up, even when all your goals are against your best interest."
Kevin lets out a, "what?"
The body morphing dictator resumes, "your goal is to stop me from collecting everything I need to save the world, right?"
"Save the world? What about killing the world's best defenders counts as saving the world?"
"You all have been manipulated to believe a false narrative. I needed that kid's watch to destroy Steven Universe, a warlord in the making. Even when I tore his gem off his chest, his power overwhelmed me. Your god won't do anything about his conspiracies, after all, his hands are in the Diamonds' pockets, so he sent you out to destroy me- the only being in the universe powerful enough to combat Steven." Thanos, in Goop form, slithers out of Kevin and reforms next to him, just so he can see his face.
Kevin's eyes expand and shutter. Thoughts of needless bloodshed haunt his mind. These weren't any ordinary suppressed flashbacks, no, for at least the types of memories Kevin learned to suppress relied on a coping method as a crutch, and the sight of his girlfriend exploding could not possibly be computed with a passive, "well, the ends justify the means."
The Mad Titan smiles over his heartbroken opponent and continues monologuing, "Paradox. Ben. Gwen. All of them stood in the path towards freedom, and all of them perished. I know how it feels to lose someone you love in the name of will, I had a daughter. But without her sacrifice, I wouldn't be here. Trust me, if there was possibly a timeline where we succeeded without killing your friends, my stones couldn't find one. But, there are timelines where you help me defeat that menace, with the Infinitrix Gauntlet in hand. Now, please, if you want your friends to die meaningfully, you must weave a victory from their fractured sacrifices. Join me, Kevin…"
Kevin smolders in front of the Mad Titan and asks menacingly, "fine, as long as you bring them back when everything's said and done."
Thanos, feeling tons of relief lifted off him, emanates a soft smile, and confirms, "alright, Kevin, alright…" Thanos uses his gauntlet to tear a hole through space, creating a portal to god knows where, and gestures Kevin to go through. He demands, "go through the portal with me. What we are doing is gonna look bad to a lot of people, but trust me, the ends justify the means."
"What are we doing, Thanos?" Kevin asks.
"Simple. Steal a gem with power so enormous it could rip apart chunks of the earth, imbue people with raw chaos, and destroy Steven in one blow."
"Woah, you think that's gonna go well with security? Is there an outcome without bloodshed?"
"Even if there was bloodshed, which I can guarantee there won't be, these people don't understand sacrifice as we do. Now let's go…"
Thanos puts his hand behind Kevin as the two walk through the portal, to god knows where.
