Thanos and Kevin teleported onto the water-drenched sandy shores of Angel Island, home of the Master Emerald. Kevin looks at Thanos determinedly and asks, "alright purple guy, where's this gem you keep talking about? This looks like a place you's murder someone."

Thanos didn't care about Kevin's questions. His ears were focused on footsteps. A lone echidna, wandering the beach, skips past Thanos. The Mad Titan grabs her by the neck and spontaneously scans her DNA into his Infinitrix Gauntlet, all before swinging her into the sea. From afar, the two anti-heroes stood there, watching the animal drown. Thanos smiles, while Kevin playfully punches his shoulder, remarking, "come on, Thanos, I thought this was going to be bloodless."

Thanos suddenly snaps back to reality. He looks at his left hand's gauntlet. The red Phantom Ruby glows, but slowly dims down. He explains, "sorry, but this ruby's power… tempts me… Just please, let this slide."

"Fine. Just, when we save the world, please bring her back with the rest. I don't want to see any of that icky stuff splash over us, alright?"

The two look at each other's blood-stained clothes. Kevin turns his skin to metal, while Thanos transforms into an Echidna. Kevin throws his clothes in the sea, and the two walk forward, along a beach trail. As they reach closer to the mainland, the sandy, rocky environment grows green, and soon the two find themselves in a luscious forest atop a hill. Thanos and Kevin stand looming over the Island. Then, the Mad Echidna Titan jumps over the cliff and buries his knuckles onto its side. He screams, "Kevin, hop on me, this is our destination!" Kevin timidly approaches the cliff and jumps off, and he grabs onto Thanos' leg. The teen's added weight caused the titan's grasp onto the earth to slip, and they cruised down the landmark at a snail-like velocity. At ground level, Kevin jumps off Thanos, and the two stare directly at a rocky wall. Kevin smirks, "is this a secret entrance?"

Thanos smirks, then punches the wall with such force that it crumbles all rocks he touches to dust. The knuckle-shaped hole reveals, what else, a secret entrance. Thanos looks at Kevin and remarks, "this shortcut leads us directly to the Hidden Palace where we can grab the emerald."

"Yeah, and it doesn't look like it's a friendly tourist site," Kevin quips, looking at a bit of glowing magma he can see beyond metallic bars placed around the base's interior. Thanos brushes off Kevin's puny attempt at a chuckle and tears chunks of rock away, carving an entrance with nothing but his bare fists. He then enters the shortcut, with the angsty teenager shortly following suit. This zone, unfamiliar to the two, is lit only by the immense lava reef bound by reinforced obsidian and spare chunks of cobblestone. Thanos pulls out a map of Angel Island which spontaneously combusts in the heat. Frustrated, Thanos asks Kevin, "quick, find me some Echidna bones. Their DNA contains the level 3 memories I need to navigate this place."

Kevin points at Thanos and whines, "yeah, we had a perfectly good body you scanned for DNA, why can't you use your galaxy-sized brain and dig deep into your newfound level 3 memories?"

"My Infinitrix Gauntlet is broken, I think level 3 memories are blocked from entering my head. I swear, however, I unlocked the master control override… but I can use the mind stone to scan these memories from DNA. So be a good boy and start digging."

Thanos pops a shovel into existence and hands it to Kevin. Smugly, Kevin throws away the shovel and morphs his hand into an obsidian pickaxe. He starts swinging around till he finds spare bones. He mines around the fossil and extracts it, however the sound of crumbling earth freaks the teen out. He swoops the bones and hands them to Thanos, who quickly scans them. Suddenly, two guards barge into the entrance. Thanos spontaneously chucks the bones into the lava and smiles at the guards. He cheerfully greets, "hello, security guards! Is there a problem here?"

The guards pull out guns on both. Kevin looks at Thanos and turns his pickaxe hand into a hammer. He smiles, ready to vent out his suppressed bloodshed, until Thanos wields his gauntlet and snaps, turning the security guards to ash. Kevin breathes heavily and snaps, "could have saved some for me, Thanos."

Thanos replies, "oh so when you have a taste for blood, it's alright, but when I do it, it's suddenly worth a damn monolog. Look, in my years, I learned to trust only those who follow through on their will…"

"A monolog for a monolog makes the whole world explode. I requested no bloodshed, and what about this was bloody?"

"Hmph. I guess striking someone with a metal hammer, as I know you'd do, wouldn't somehow result in 'bloodshed'?"

"Well, where I'm from, people just… pass out… It's different here I guess."

"You have a lot of learning to do if you're a fighter who doesn't know the value a drop of blood has on a battlefield… Let's go, before any more guards get to us," Thanos says. Kevin's smug face serves as his sole response to Thanos' monolog. After the partners in crime dismiss each other's conversations, Thanos starts pacing to the Hidden Palace, with Kevin tracking behind him. Little do they know that behind them, an echidna discovers the disturbed hidden enterance, This red-furred Echidna with knuckles that eradicate chuckles shakes his fist in the air and screams, "trespassers! There's no point in hiding from me, I'll always catch up" The echidna walks through the entrance and enters the lava zone. He hears slight footsteps from afar, and he puts two and two together. He runs up to the leftmost corner of the Lava Reef entrance and smashes a fire extinguisher and tears it off, revealing a hidden security system with a glowing green keyboard. He punches in a security code, and an alarm siren screeches.

Meanwhile, Thanos and Kevin keep on running through the Lava Reef, until suddenly, metallic doors drop over the path, trapping the two within Segment 12. Thanos smashes on the doors, weakly, all the while Kevin turns his hand into a sledgehammer and smashes it open. Kevin smiles at Thanos and smugly quips, "thank you." Thanos shrugs it off and the two progress further into the Reef, only to find more metallic doors. Kevin sighs. Thanos forces a comically large smile.

The Mad Titan boasts, "I have a fun idea."

Kevin replies, "what? Teleport us using your magic gloves? That would make things so much easier."

Thanos smiles, "no, that's too lame and easy. No matter what comes our way, I can guarantee we will remain on top of things, so I suggest we have fun along the way. Your skin stretches and adapts to any material right?"

"Right."

"And despite the security measures, that lava pool is exposed, and leads directly into the Palace, right?"

"Ummm, yes."

"So why don't you turn yourself into a boat and sail down the stream, it's literally a slip and slide to victory."

"No. Let's teleport. It will be much…"

Thanos yields his right Infinity Gauntlet and manipulates Kevin. Kevin then immediately turns himself into a boat and drops on the exposed Lava Reef, which lies parallel to the otherwise enclosed path the duo stands on. Thanos chuckles, staring at the path they left behind, seeing nor hearing anyone. He chuckles and gives the finger.

At this very moment, security guards around the hidden palace witness Kevin and Thanos approaching the place. They mount laser guns and stand up front where the lava reef ends, ready to fire at any moment. Meanwhile, another group of guards barge through the secret passage out of Angel Island Cliff and jump into the lava reef, do sick backflips, and activate their jet-fueled Lavaboards. They blast ahead, guns blazing, spraying lead across the reef in an aimless attempt to seize the rogue dictator-in-disguise and teen-in-disguise. On the boat, Thanos notices some bullets speeding up to them. He wills a grenade launcher into existence and shoots them into the lava, creating splashes of magma in the air which scorches the bullets. He then uses his endless powers to freeze the hot mass midair, cooling it back to stone instantaneously, before being shattered into pieces then launched right at the guards. The rock shrapnel pierces right through one of the guard's Lavaboard, triggering an explosion which fries his corpse. Thanos drops the launcher in the lava then holds onto the exploding guard's body with telekinesis, tightening its flesh in order to suppress an internal explosion. He then flings the guard back, smashing more lavasurfing echidnas, then letting go, triggering the explosion at last. About 9.8 echidnas died that very moment in a very gruesome, bloody manner, but because Kevin's too busy being a boat, he doesn't notice. Thanos then grabs raw chunks of lava, freezes them in his fist, then throws them midair, where he punches it hard, causing it to fling onto the remaining 0.2 echidnas left alive. He then looks ahead and notices the Palace in plain sight. Kevin whines, "tell me when to stop." Thanos pays constant attention to the two guards staring at him in fear. Kevin repeats, "are we approaching land?"

Thanos calmly answers, "soon… soon… we're getting close. Just a bit more… and THERE!"

Kevin smashes the two guards at the end of the reef with the hull of his boat head. Blood splashes over his face. Then, Thanos slips out of the makeshift boat, and Kevin frontflips, reverting to his human form during the peak of the flip. He then triumphantly lands on the floor, where they encounter the red echidna who spotted them earlier. He has a man-sized robot standing next to him. The echidna turns on the button and chuckles to the two, "I see you guys made it this far, but get ready for our newest form of security."
