Elsie lay on the chaise lounge, reading, when Charles entered their bedroom.
"There you are. I was wondering where you ran off too," Elsie said, closing her book and sitting up, patting the space next to her. Charles sat down, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him.
"I was supervising the footman," Charles said. Elsie smiled and shook her head.
"That's what Mr. Archer is for. After all, he is the butler. Anyways, I have something I need to tell you. When the family leaves, along with audible, Edith is staying. I don't know how long," Elsie said. Charles nodded.
"Alright, the more the merrier," Charles told her, kissing the top of her head. She rolled her eyes with a shake of her head.
"I've said it before and I'll say it again; you're getting soft in your old age," Elsie told him, kissing his cheek.
"All because of you, my darling, all because of you."
