We're back! This story is not dead, I promise and I apologize for the short chapter. I'll do my best to update more, but who knows. Anyway, enjoy!

Elsie stood at the window, chatting to Cora and Violet, watching the men as the they walked around the grounds.

"How are you settling in, truly?" Cora asked as Violet moved to talk to Isobel, Edith and Mary.

"It's been a transition, of course. I am still trying to accept the fact that I am now a Duchess. We're still setting everything up here that we haven't had much time for anything else. I am planning on visiting the village tomorrow and see the village hospital if you would be interested in coming along," Elsie told her.

"Of course, I'd be delighted. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I remember when Robert's father died and we become Lord and Lady Grantham. It was frightening and exciting. It took a while, but I soon got used to everything and all it takes is a little bit of faith. You also have a wonderful husband to help you as well."

"He's so much better at that this than I am. I find myself relying on him quite a bit, hard as that is. He's so very wonderful, though. I'm very grateful for him," She said, a loving look on her face as she looked out the window at her husband again. "Edith has asked to stay here when you go back to Downton."

"Oh. Are you okay with that?"

"I am. We are. I told her I would talk to you first, but she is more than welcome to stay."

"She is an adult and can make her own decisions. As long as you don't mind. Let's just not tell Mary until we're leaving."

"A wise decision if ever there was one." The two women turned and walked towards the others, Elsie catching Edith's eye and nodding, a smile on her face.
