"Are you...having a good time?" Drakken asked. She smiled broadly. "Yes." It was true. And she hoped her smile encouraged him. "I..." Drakken glanced away and took a slight step back. She followed his gaze to where fireflies danced over the brook. He looked back. "I know it...hasn't been long." Drakken got down on one knee. He reached into his pocket. 'Oh no,' she thought.

This is the continuation of my other Kim Possible story, 'They melt'. Read that before this one to understand what's going on. In this here, Ron takes a decision out of Kim's hands and Kim couldn't be more alright with it.

There wasn't much of the dark ocean to see that night, but still he gazed out over the waters thoughtfully. For once in his life...he didn't have something to think about. As Kim dodged the attack, Shego was impressed. The determination on her face reminded her of herself at that age—fiercely proud and willing to do whatever it takes. The only difference was Kim didn't feel trapped by her status or feel the pressure to prove herself and be better each time. Kim took another hard blow that knocked her down, and Shego gasped when she didn't get up.

A desperate Dr. Drakken has sensibly reviewed his Files of Past Plots to find the most effective weapon yet used on KP and improve it with unexpected results. Ron and company find they have a new partner.
