Harry stared in wonder at the girl before him, he had never seen someone like her, she was wearing a red hakama and a white kosode, she was a brunette that looked around eight or nine, his age. He froze as she came closer.
"Are you alright?" the girl questions, as she shouldered her longbow.
Harry nods before wincing, he knew that he would have bruises from where that demon squeezed him.
The girl walked off before turning to look at him. "Follow me, I am sure your guardian will come for you, but for right now, you are safe."
"What's your name?" Harry questions following the girl as she leads the way through the forest.
"I am called Kikyo," Kikyo answers as she searched the forest. She sighed the plant she needed wasn't in the forest, but within her own room at the temple.
"Harry!" called a voice from above them, Harry looked up and seen a very irritated Sara.
Kikyo stopped as the demon slayer landed from the back of a demonic feline.
Sara hopped from her feline's back and ran over to Harry, berating him and as well as looking over him to make sure he wasn't harmed. "What in the name of the nine hells happened?"
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to see the forest beyond the borders." Harry apologizes looking at his shoes.
Kikyo cleared her throat. "I will take you back to my Temple and treat his injuries there, follow me."
Sara nodded, she knew that a few spiritualists lived cloistered around these parts. The three walked through the forest a few miles, Kikyo kept her senses alert for danger and she knew that her path among the living was unfolding once again. Kikyo held up her token bracelet and the barrier pulsed and came down, the temple loomed up before them with walls surrounding the miniature village. She leads the two into the grounds themselves.
"Was this place always here?" Sara questioned as she gaped at the temple grounds, the main shrine was in the center, and spreading outwards were tiny homes, where each person that take vows here lived.
"This Temple has been here for centuries. We live in peace, in mediation and reflection. Some venture out and offer aide and we are called out when something truly needs us." Kikyo explains as she leads them past gardens, with priestess-apprentices tending the herbs.
The trio was heading to the main shrine.
"Who lives here?" Harry questioned
"I do," Kikyo replies as she walked up the shrine steps and enters the building, she went to her still room. She looked at Harry. "Please sit." there was a padded bench in the room. Where Harry sat, he watched as Kikyo mixed various herbs together. She turned with the mixture and knelt by Harry. "Raise your shirt, I will attend to your wounds."
Harry did as he was asked and watched as the mixture was spread on the bruises and wrapped in a bandage. He winced as the bandages were being wrapped.
Kikyo sat back, she looked at Harry oddly. 'I sense darkness in him, but there is also light as well. This is quite the puzzle' she thought as she cleaned up her supplies. Kikyo stood up. She turned to look at the water-clock in her room. "You must get back to the Demonic Palace."
Sara nods as she and Harry looked at each other.
"Will I see you again?" Harry asks as Kikyo walked them out of the Temple and across the barrier. Sara and Harry got onto the demonic feline, the cat took off before Kikyo could respond.
Kikyo turned back to the Temple glancing at the retreating form of the boy. "I believe we shall meet again."
