Disclaimer: I only own Hiroko

- Acid, Ice, and Fire -

I turned and looked at Katsuki, but his features remained unmoved as he stared down unaffected.

His silence brought back the memory of the conversation in the dark hallway. What information I had learned just a few hours ago, weird how it felt like days since the interaction between Kuku and Todoroki..

I clenched my jaw as anger stabbed at my heart, making me feel both guilty and annoyed. Guilty for both eavesdropping and for pushing and forgetting the conversation. I had fun while I knew Todoroki was dealing with something… yet again I asked myself if that made me a bad friend.

And I was annoyed because I felt guilty, it wasn't fun.

Once again the match up made me feel weird, because I wanted Kuku to win. I'd always root for him, he was my friend and as I got older I would think back and realize that no one really supported him and his dream of being a hero. As a kid I thought it was really dumb, even now it seems stupid that not having a Quirk could keep someone from saving other people's lives.

Of course he'd have to work way harder and would have to rely on wits, technology, and bravery, but it could work. It made me upset that so many people had told him differently, and Katsuki was one of them.

And Todoroki… I barely knew Todoroki. He had helped me during the USJ fiasco and had risked his life to help All Might, not that Kuku didn't. But from that I knew he was a good person at least. It was his desire to show his father up that really made me question how I wanted this to go.

Endeavor didn't sound like a good person when It came to Todoroki, and showing the number two hero that he didn't need that stupid man's quirk by winning was admirable.

But… I was also confused about Endeavor himself… weren't hero's supposed to protect? He… my whole motto was if you risked your life to save others then you couldn't be that bad, no matter your motivation… so if he… to a child…

"Hiroko?" I heard someone ask, concern seeping into their voice. I turned my head and saw Mina's brilliant yellow eyes filled with worry. "You look like you're about to cry…"

My eyes widened and I shook myself out of my thoughts, seeing that I really was about to cry. I pushed the feeling down and smiled at Mina, nodding my head, and wiping away any remnants of tears.

"Yeah, I'm just lost in thought," I answered, looking down at the two people coming to the ring. "I was just trying to figure out who to cheer for… I can't figure it out."

She nodded her head, and placed her finger to her chin in thought.

It felt like a lot of people did that. Should I start doing that?

"I'm rooting for Midoryia, especially since Todoroki said that he wasn't here to make friends," she declared, reminding me of the talk Todoroki and Kuku had before the Festival this morning. "I cheer for my friends."

"Yeah," I agreed, shifting my gaze back to the arena. "So does that mean you'll be cheering for me during our fight?" I lifted my eyebrow in question and smirked at her.

"No way," she responded, with no hesitation. "But I was rooting for you when you fought Kaminari." My heart lifted at the comment and I smiled brightly at her.

I tilted my head however, and smiled at her knowingly.

"Okay, so if I fought Kirishima…" I drawled, trying to fluster her. "Who-"

"Kirishima," she answered, not letting me finish my question. I turned quickly to her in disbelief and gasped.

"Wha-?, heyta minute, I mean," I stuttered out and tried again, "Wait! Heyta minute. I mean, Hey! Wait a minute." Mina began laughing at my misfortune and I gave her a deadpanned look. "Stop laughing! You should have at least pretended to consider."

"Heyta minute," she mocked, still laughing "I can't breathe!"

"It's the first match of the second round!" Present Mic interrupted, and I for once, was grateful. However, Mina still continued to laugh. "These two heroes in training have both been frontrunners in the Sports Festival!"

"Excuse me Mina," I yelled over the roaring crowd, gaining her attention. "I can't hear Present Mic with your laughter, please be considerate." She looked at me with a smile and I broke character, smiling back at her.

"It's Midoriya!" Present Mic introduced, "Versus, Todoroki!" I looked back down and I felt my smile beginning to drop. This fight wasn't going to be fun to watch. "Begin!"

The fight started at his request, and Todoroki shot a long range ice attack toward Kuku. My heart leapt in my chest and I thought my long time friend would die, but instead, Izuku stabilized himself and readied his arm.

He flicked his finger and just as the ice landed itself by Kuku. It was smashed to pieces by an impossible wind. The one flick of his finger sent the entire ice glacier flying backwards, and into the stands.

Todoroki kept himself from flying back by placing an ice wall behind him, and the battle between the two really began.

I stared down at the two opponents and realized that Kuku was holding his arm in pain. Even from high in the stands you could tell that he was already hurting.

"That idiot," I mumbled, not having any other way to reprimand him.

Another ice barrage was sent Kuku's way, and as he did before, he braced himself and flicked a different finger, making my frown worsen. It was so easy to see that his quirk didn't suit his body, or at least every time he used it it went past his limits.

It was dumb and reckless… but.. Ugh, it was aggravating. Because that's what it took to be a hero, especially for someone who doesn't have a Quirk.

Except he did have a Quirk. How did he have a Quirk? I know I said I wouldn't ask but times like these it was hard to think of anything else.

"Oh no crap, I'm missing it!" Kirishima said from behind after another ice blast and counter attack from below. I looked behind me and rolled my head on the back of my chair, watching the boys interact.

"Hey nice job making it to the second round, Kirishima," Kaminari complimented, and the red-haired boy stopped, looking down the row to the lighting wielder.

"Thanks, man," he answered, putting his hand on his hip. "Looks like I take down Bakugo next."

"You're gonna fight Katsuki?" I asked, sitting up and looking at him in surprise.

"Hey, Hiroko," he greeted before nodding his head to the tournament schedule board.

I looked up and saw that he was correct, and I took the opportunity to jump over the seats and slide to sit down next to Sero. I was going to get sick if I kept watching Kuku break his bones, and it looked like they were both strategizing at the second anyway.

"No, but seriously," Kirishima continued, talking to the angry looking blonde. "It's crazy how you and Todoroki have moves that blast the whole stadium." I watched in slight amusement as he gestured with his hands, making them look like explosions. "Must be pretty nice."

"Plus you don't have to pause between attacks," Sero agreed, sending the boy in question a look.

"It's not as easy as you think," he responded, once again, not taking his eyes off the match. I followed his line of sight and saw another fire of wind breaking down Todoroki's ice wall. "Ya morons," I noted that the insult came as an afterthought and I smiled to myself. "If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath."

I looked down at my wrapped leg and berated myself, once again wishing that I hadn't gone overboard on the first two rounds.

It was climbing the stadium

Yeah, that'll do it

All because you were too scared

Go away.. Just, go away

"Quirks are physical abilities too," He continued, and I looked back up, a sense of calm radiating through his usually fierce eyes. "You can't just use them nonstop."

"Makes sense when you put it that way," Kirishima added, turning back to the fight. "I wonder if that's how Midoriya thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki."

"I'd be surprised if he even had an actual plan at this point," I murmured, getting the attention of the boys who sat beside me. I realized that what I'd said wasn't very nice, and tried to correct myself. "Not that he isn't smart like that, he's just acting recklessly right now." I added, even if it wasn't much better.

"Yeah…" Sero agreed, looking back down at the match as well. "Midoryia's not looking too good, I'm not sure if he's gonna out last Todoroki." I nodded my head but I couldn't help but hope that my green haired friend would turn it around. It was possible, I just hoped it wouldn't cost him his life.

I turned to see Todoroki running on a slanted pillar of ice, rushing toward Kuku. I cursed the both of them, my previous worry felt as if it was about to come true. Izuku yelled in protest and held up his other arm, and smashed it with force.

Todoroki jumped in the air and dodged, not giving his opponent a chance to counterattack, he attempted to strike Kuku with an iced fist. However, he moved quickly and out of the way. The ice from Todoroki's hand traveled and locked onto Izuku's foot.

In seconds the stadium was once again filled with forceful wind, coming from the green haired boy in the ring. He'd managed to break the ice that had trapped him, but couldn't get his opponent out of the ring. Said boy stood up from the ice wall he'd built, looking less damaged than the one who threw the punch.

Gah, why do they have to be so cool. I'm pretty sure Kuku just broke his arm, with the funky way it's looking, and he just stands there, still ready to fight. And Todoroki's Quirk and reaction time is insane.

I'm both concerned and in awe, and it's making me mad.

One more huge attack was sent toward Izuku and my heart leapt in worry, it was larger than the other ice walls and he looked pretty beat up. Except, with no hesitation, he defended with another attack, reusing his unbroken arm.

They both stood there and it left the whole crowd in anticipation. They were speaking to each other, I wondered what could be so important they had to have a conversation in the middle of a fight. I knew they weren't trash talking, It didn't really fit their personalities.

At least, I think so. Kuku can get weirdly competitive when it comes to hero's and I didn't actually know Todoroki that well. I mean, Todoroki literally challenged him in front of everyone, so maybe they were trash talking.

"Come at me with all you got!" I heard Kuku yell, confirming my suspicions. Though I still wondered how loud he had to be for us to be able to hear him.

Todoroki took the bait and started running forward, his movements noticeably slower than before.

I gasped in realization and inwardly chided Todoorki for his stubbornness.

"His body's thermoregulation is gonna fail," I anxiously mumbled, remembering what I'd read about when I researched Katsuki's power. "And if his body goes lower than 85 he could die,"

"Whoah," Sero said, making me look up at him in a daze. "Somebody could die?" I nodded at him gravely and turned back to the arena and scowled.

His stubbornness could get him killed and it was a direct result of his father. I wanted to be open minded, but if someone hates their father that bad, I knew something really was wrong. Disgust settled on my heart as I watched Izuku land a punch on Todoroki, but the ice user froze his attacker's arm.

I was all for going against villains, and Endeavor was the biggest one right now, but Recovery Girl couldn'' heal a dead person. He'd get Hypothermia before that, so that was the only brightside to this.

I growled as many different emotions surfaced, and it felt overwhelming. I was concerned for both Todoroki and Kuku, each one could end up in a serious situation that could cause permanent damage. I was also infuriated over Endeavor, the disgust in Todoroki's voice as he talked of him resurfacing in my mind. I was also scared… really scared.

Not to mention the two fighting below, ice shards being dodged or broken, and a clearly injured Kuku ran around, his arms hanging awkwardly. The two finally stopped after Izuku headbutted Todoroki in the stomach, unable to use his hands.

The ice users' body was fully freezing, his left side becoming coated in blue.

Their standstill ended when Kuku punched his opponent, knocking most of the ice of Todoroki.

A fire wall.

A fire wall as tall as the stadium went off around Todoroki, heat filling the stadium. It held such a deeper meaning than just using his Quirk, and I felt weird being a part of it.

He stood there, his fire flaring on his right side, heating up his once frozen body, melting the ice shards on his left side. It was amazing to see and it once again left me feeling confused.

Why had he changed his mind?

"Yes. Shoto!" I heard a deep voice rumble, drawing the stadium's attention to a fiery figure. "Have you finally accepted your purpose?" I looked at the figure in utter disgust, a bile hatred rising in my throat. "That's it, very good! This is the dawn of a new era for us." With every word he said the feeling worsened and Imagined shutting him up. "With my blood in your veins you'll surpass me, you will up to the reason I created you!"

… A memory seeped through my mind; one of calloused cold words, that held no care. Except, the ones speaking loved nothing but themselves, and did nothing but hurt and provoke fear, all for themselves.

So why did a hero, a symbol of hope and selflessness, hold nothing but desire and selfishness in his tone as he spoke to his son. His 'creation' as he called it.

In that moment, I wanted nothing more than to do something that would torture a child into misery and fear. Like he did to Todoroki. Like they did to me.

Except, I couldn't find something like that, so I did the next best thing.

I enhanced the strength in my arm and threw the sandal Recovery Girl had given me. I wanted to see the face he made when he realized he wasn't loved by everyone and that he was nothing more than a lowlife villain.

Except, just when it was about to reach him, a hand grabbed me from behind and I yelped in surprise. I tried to turn and fight back but I was already over the chairs and heading out the stadium.

I was pulled and shoved against the wall, missing my hard work in action. I growled in anger before looking back at my capture.

"What the heck, Katsuki ?" I questioned, utterly confused and irritated. "I never bother you when you get all angry." That was a lie and we both knew it, but I couldn't care enough to correct myself.

"Shut up," He yelled, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "You're being an idiot and it's ticking me off."

"How am I being an idiot?" I prodded, stepping closer to him in annoyance. "I was just calmly minding my own business, watching the fight."

"He's the number two hero," He growled, ignoring me. I sat there surprised, truly thinking that I was going to have to run from him again. "If you pick a fight with him you lose your chance at being a hero."

I held up my hand in protest, ready to confidently reveal that Endevor could shove it and I'd be perfectly content with never seeing him again. But I realized something and I curled my lips into a smug knowing smile.

"Are you saying this because you wanted to too?" I asked, "Or because you were worried about me?"

He growled loudly in protest and brought his hands out from his pockets.

"Why should I worry about a loser like you?" He yelled, his eyes ablaze in aggravation. "I'm saying this cause I want everyone to know that I won this festival because I beat everyone, and not because some idiot got herself kicked out."

I felt myself smiling for real and the anger subsiding as I did.

"So you think I'm gonna win against Mina?"

"Die."

He walked back out, his hands still shoved in his pockets.

I had intended to follow, hoping that Endeavor still looked confused at the hate flip flop, but the stadium shook. I stepped outside and immediately regretted it when a powerful wind tried to pull me back. I reacted with little thought by slamming my hand into the wall and gripping on tightly.

"This is crazy!" I heard Kaminari yell, his voice barely carrying over the hurricane like force around us.

"Why does stuff like this keep happening right after I leave!" I screamed, more to myself than to anyone else. Was it Kuku's and Todorki's fight, or did we just get threatened by a villain?

The wind slowed, after what felt like hours of hanging on for dear life, and I tried to catch a glimpse of the situation from down below. Only clouds of smoke were visible and I tried to think of different scenarios that caused it.

"What happened just now?" I heard Present Mic ask, and I walked further out into the stadium. "What the heck is up with your students?" I snorted to myself, taking weird pride in the statement, knowing that the rest of our class definitely deserved the question as well.

"The air around the ring had been cooled down, and then rapidly expanded when heated up." Mr. Aizawa explained, not getting a chance to finish when Present Mic interrupted.

"Is that what caused the explosion? How hot did that fire get?" He asked, "Jeez I can't see a thing down there."

He was right, even now the smoke hadn't cleared, making me more irritated. It was scary to wait to find out if everyone was okay, and the slowly rising smoke screen didn't help.

When it did finally disappear, Kuku was lying unconscious near the edge of the stadium, his body sliding down the wall. Todoroki stood in the arena, his clothes half torn and his body bent over in exhaustion.

"Izuku," I whispered, striding over to the edge of the railing and looking at my friend. I cursed at him again, remembering how he had acted similarly during our first hero simulation training. He'd almost risked his life for the win and all it really got him was a broken arm.

Todoroki had been announced the winner by a greatly disheveled Midnight (since she was down by the explosion) and Kuku was immediately rushed away on a stretcher.

"The fights are gonna be paused till we get this stadium cleaned up," Present Mic announced, and I decided it'd be good to go see Kuku…. Unless only Uraraka was going. "So don't go away!"

I turned, ready to make sure my idiotic best friend was going to be okay. Apparently Uraraka, Iida, Tsuyu, and Mineta we're all going to check on him, so I decided to come with.

"Hiroko?"

My attention shifted and I scanned behind me, looking toward my classmates to identify the caller. Mina's eyes caught mine and I looked back to the group, they waited and I nodded, letting them off.

"Yeah?" I wondered, her demeanor giving me a sense of unease.

"Why'd you try to hit Endeavor?" She questioned. I looked at her in surprise, my mind going back to the minutes before the explosion. "Ya know, when you threw your shoe at him…"

"Uh, well…" I couldn't tell her the truth, it wasn't mine to tell. Actually, it wasn't mine to know. Maybe this is what Katsuki was trying to warn me about, or aggressively yell at me about. "He's annoying and totally deserved it." I seethed, my anger returning. "He was only happy because Todoroki used his fire, some father."

It wasn't the best excuse, but I knew that it was better than saying nothing, and it was technically the truth.

"You could get thrown out!" she exclaimed, her voice rising. "At the very least it could damage you're chances of getting offers."

I stared in shock, not thinking of the consequences before. She was right, even though I really didn't care what the number two hero could do, the rest of the heroes could be just as bad.

That's what Katsuki was saying….

"It… Well I.." I tried but she just started at me expectantly. My anger started to dissipate as she looked at me. "I didn't think of that…" I admitted, feeling somewhat guilty.

"You should apologize."

"No way!" I protested, gaining some attention from our fellow classmates. I lowered my voice and shifted closer to her. "No way, If I do that then he'll win."

"Now you sound like your Bakuboyfriend."

"My what?" I asked, looking at her in exasperation. I thought this was supposed to be an out of character scolding, not a way to mess with me.

"Nevermind, " she waved it off before I could deadpan even more. "

I did not want us to be arguing, especially when we were gonna fight in a couple of minutes.

I walked off with her, once again I went down a different hallway than my opponent when it got time to split up, and sat in the break room.

At one time, Uraraka came by and told me what happened with Kuku. He had to do surgery but he was awake and okay.

"Oh, that's better than being unconscious…" I trialled off, not really seeing much of a bright side. Though she looked worried and I wanted to ease her concerns, I wasn't feeling very calm either.

"Yeah, " she sighed, her eyes looking off before she snapped back to attention. "Oh, I shouldn't have told you before your match! You could get distracted."

"Nah, " I shrugged it off, knowing I could say this at least. "I'm glad you told me, I know he'll be fine anyway, Recovery Girl is pretty amazing."

She nodded, small relief filling her features.

"I'm glad you care about him," I teased, being both sincere and watchful for her reaction. "I think he's glad too."

"W-welll, yeah." She stuttered, her cheeks getting warm as she avoided eye contact. "We're friends." She looked off again, her hands clasped together in front of her.

"I can work with that," I said out-loud, thinking that as long as they were friends, the ship had a chance.

"Huh?" She questioned, now looking back at me.

I was about to explain when Present Mic's voice interrupted, bringing me back to the task ahead.

"Sorry I used all your time," she mumbled, and I shook my head.

"No worries, I enjoy your company."

She smiled brightly and I fought the urge to pinch her cheeks and take a picture.

We parted ways and I walked toward the entrance, hearing the end of the last fight. Apparently it was Present Mic's excitement that I could get, and not the sound of him calling me.

Iida and Tokoyami were fighting, though it looked like Iida was losing. Dark Shadow was wrapped around his opponent's body, securing him in a hold.

Iida looked determined, but you could tell he'd been fighting harder than Tokoyami. Though, the hypo-breed looked more exhausted than he had during his fight with Yaoyurozu.

Iida struggled in the shadow's grip, his rockets being no use. Except, instead of giving in, he stopped. In an instant, his rockets burst to life again, a huge blast coming from them.

I looked on in awe, never seeing him go this fast with so much power. It was like he was pushing Dark Shadow into Tokoyami's head.

I bet Kuku would be impressed.

To block the incoming attack, Tokoyami dropped Iida, and both he and Dark Shadow were ready to block Iida's kick.

Iida's extra power was able to plow through both Dark Shadow, and land a damaging kick on Tokoyami. Now the match seemed a little more even, because Tokoyami stood with his arms bruised, and Iida was on the other side, not making a move.

The standoff didn't last long when Dark Shadow screeched and made his way toward his opponent. Iida run, but only one of his rockets were working. The ones he hadn't used on the last attack.

The bird followed, swooshing down and almost knocking Iida over. Iida's other engines began to spark to life, but it was too late, Tokoyami commanded his… bird? Quirk? Shadow?

Wait, is Dark Shadow actually Tokoyami's shadow come to life?

Anyway, Dark Shadow pushed back on Iida again, getting him closer to the edge. Iida knew exactly when it was too late, when his eyes widened. The shadow pushed him when Iida's strides were long enough that his feet didn't touch the ground for barely a second.

It was great timing on Tokoyami's part, and he successfully knocked Iida down and out of the ring.

The crowd cheered wildly, and Present Mic's loud voice rang through the stadium for the umpteenth time that day.

Tokoyami walked past me as he exited the stadium. He nodded and I smiled and waved back, even turning to Dark Shadow who was loving the attention of the crowd.

The shadow-bird reached over to me, his body growing bigger when he reached the shadowed doorway. I stared in awe at the bird, reaching up and scratching his neck.

I looked at Tokoyami and worry flashed in his eyes. I realized that it might not be appropriate to do that.

"Uh, sorry," I offered and he just shook his head. He briskly walked down the hallway into better light. Dark Shadow tried to stay in the poorly lit entrance, but it was futile when Tokoyami walked away.

"Aww, he's like a puppy," I cooed, watching the duo leave.

My attention was brought back to the fight and the stadium when Present Mic began to shout.

"Now it's time for the 3rd match of the 2nd round!" He said, and I walked out, butterflies beginning to fill me once again. Coming out alone was definitely more difficult than walking out with classmates. "Class 1A is back and facing off against each other. They used to be teammates but now they're fighting to the death!"

We both stopped and looked up at the announcer, not really sure what to think about him at this point.

"Don't be stupid," Mr. Aizawa corrected. "It's not to the death."

"Why can't you let me have this!?" Present Mic responded, the two forgetting they were on air. "Anyway, sports fans, Welcome back Hiroko Bushida and Mina Ahisdo!"

By the time he was done announcing we stood face to face at opposite ends of the ring. The crowd cheered, filling my ears and my heart pounded.

Mina began stretching, her smile growing.

"Loosen up!" She called, her attitude and smile letting some of the nervousness melt away.

"I don't think you should be helping your opponent." I called back, she just smirked before putting her arm behind her. I copied her idea and began stretching.

"I'll win either way."

"I did not expect you to be such a trash talker."

"Begin!" Present Mic exclaimed, even though it was Ms. Midnight's Job. His deceleration cut our banter short and I readied myself, getting lower to the ground and more stable by bending my knees.

Mina took no time to advance, skating on her acid, and coming towards me. I tried to think of a strategy, but all I could come up with was to wait and avoid her attack.

She launched an array of acid and ducked away from it, and began running away from the edge of the wring.

If I stepped out at all, I'd be disqualified, so I should stay away from the edge.

I turned to look behind me and nearly missed another acid spray from my opponent. The jacket, or the UA uniform, I'd been wearing got struck, and soon holes where the acid had landed began to form.

"What the heck, Mina?" I yelled, noting that if it touched my skin, I'd have blisters and burns for weeks.

I hadn't realized how dangerous everyone's quirks could be.

"I'm here to win!" She responded and attacked again, sliding toward me as she did so. I dodged and backed up, this time keeping my attention on her.

I decided that if I kept running from her, I'd get tired. And I need to save my energy for later matches.

I ran toward her, using only a small amount of energy and enhanced my leg muscles. I felt the weird power behind my eyes, as if a sign to know it was working, and speedily race toward her.

She didn't expect the sudden advancement and her aim became less accurate as I ran closer. I dodged her arm by redirecting and used her momentum to turn her. I held the back of her head and used the head I redirected and flipped her body, getting myself low to the floor so I wouldn't be moved.

Instead of landing on the ground like I had expected, her feet planted firmly in place. Her body landed in a bridge position and used it to her advantage, flipping herself forward and landing her leg under my chin.

My body hit the floor hard and I had to adjust myself before I looked up at my opponent, either in awe or aggravation. More likely a mix of the two.

I didn't know she could kick like that, true she had stumbled a bit as she landed, but it was still pretty solid. Her movement had been fluid and she hadn't hesitated.

I stood up and wiped the sweat off my forehead, then ran my fingers along the growing bruise where she had hit me.

I crouched low again and blew out a calming breath, getting myself to focus.

My body moved forward, intending to use a similar move I had with Kaminari, to be honest it would be the same one, I didn't know of another Flying Armbar yet. However, my plans were foiled again.

My Quirk fluctuated, my body growing tired in a second, making my leg muscles feel weak. I landed too quickly and the strike I readied hit the ground, cracking the cement. She took charge at the moment and sent another wave of acid my way. I couldn't dodge in time and it landed on my skin, this time, the acid only barely burned through.

Hissing in pain, I looked at my opponent. She looked better than I did, her stance was stronger and she was clutching her arm.

I registered Present Mic yelling about the fight, distracting Mina for a quick second of rest.

My attention grazed over the ground that I had punched, the cracks looking like a messed up square. It reminded me of my angry outburst from before, and a voice nagged at my heart.

Another hit to my body brought me back, making me curse at both the pain and myself.

"Looks like Bushida isn't doing too hot." The announcer, oh-so annoyingly, observed.

I stood up, seeing Mina standing before me. She'd given me time to stand up, but the second my feet were solid she came in for another hit. I charged my muscles and took her advancement as a sign that she let her guard down.

Avoiding her next spray, I ducked and kicked in her stomach, going for a lower roundhouse kick. She fell to the ground, her body going farther than usual as I added more strength to my legs. As I watched my opponent I realized she was closer to the edge.

Once again I looked down at the crumbling cement and another memory flashed through my head, giving me the perfect Idea.

As she stood up, I crouched down, getting my hands into the broken floor. I felt my energy circulate throughout my body, powering my muscles in my arms and legs. The weird feeling that signified the change flashed behind my eyes and I lifted a huge slab of concrete up from the ground.

I threw it toward her, letting the floor fly at an alarming rate at my opponent.

As an instinct she ran backwards, before at the last second she swerved, running to the side. I smiled, congratulating the writers of that scene for coming up with a plan that would actually work.

With nowhere else to go, she had ran right into my awaiting palm. I centered the strike, knocking her off balance and out of the ring.

I breathed.

The roaring crowd and my sore body came back into play as my mind cleared.

She looked up at me in surprise before her features dropped in disappointment.

"Aw man…" She whined, and I gave her an apologetic look. It was a fight after all, but It still sucked that we had to face each other. She stood up and rubbed her but, smiling sadly at the turn of events.

"Bushida wins!" Mrs. Midnight announced, and soon after Present Mic repeated her words.

"Can you believe that!" He screamed. "She turned it around after all those hits! Did she always have that plan? Did she get that from Uraraka from the previous matches?"

Heh…

"I thought you said you were bad at strategizing," Mina said, walking out with me instead of going out her own way. I was glad for it though, I didn't want to listen to another round of spectators.

"I'm not sure it's strategizing if you steal it from an anime," I told her, going on to explain that a boy had done the same thing, except he used a fishing pole to grab the floor. "So, I can't really take credit."

"You think you watch too much anime?" She asked, actual concern in her voice. I stopped, looking at her in disbelief. "I was just asking…"

I decided to ignore the outlandish question and pushed forward. We stopped by a vending machine, they had , and made our way back to our seats, my muscles crying all the way there.

"My entire body hurts," I complained, sitting roughly in my seat.

"I know," Mina agreed, also plopping down. "My arms hurt to move."

"My legs hurt to move."

"My butt hurts to move."

"Then stop moving your butt."

"You guys sure argue a lot," Tsuyu interrupted, "Ribbit. Like an old married couple."

"She wishes," we both said at the same time, turning dramatically away from each other.

The next few fights were insane. Katsuki and Kirishima had fought first, Once again I didn't know who to root for. So I decided that If Mina would rout for Kirishima, I could rout for Katsuki.

Katsuki was on the defensive for most of the fight, even earning himself some well deserved hits. Except, when Krishima began to run low on steam, Katsuki turned, and began blasting huge explosions. It didn't take long for the manly boy to be knocked out, one clear word coming from his opponent.

"Die!"

Kirishima flew back and I shook my head in exasperation.

"God, he killed your boyfriend," I cried, trying to laugh away my slight concern for said boy.

"He's not my boyfriend," Mina hissed, though her eyes clearly expressed her worry.

"Who says I was talking to you," I snapped back, not fooling anyone.

"The semi finals will be starting soon!" Present Mic yelled, and I sighed deeply, not ready to fight the boy who just killed Mina's boyfriend. "Grab some snacks and be right back, the next fights are gonna be crazy!"

Is it good? I feel like this one was really bad. Heh, what's I gonna do?

Ya'lllll i reached 100,000 words, and it hasn't even been 2 full seasons yet. I'm gonna be honest I have no idea how long this is gonna be, but I imagine it'll be pretty long... I might break it down into different parts if it gets crazy, not sure what the plan is actually, but I hope your guys are still enjoying the story!

Have a great day!
