For Temari, sending emails to Shikamaru had become her favorite pastime. Of course, since all the kage aids had their computer now, sending emails were mostly centered on work. But to her, it's sole purpose was for communicating with Shikamaru.

TemariNSabaku:Wyd?

Temari typed before heading the bathroom to bathe. She knew that Shikamaru wouldn't be getting home for about an hour, so that gave her an opportunity to take a long bath that's needed. However, Shikamaru had the day off and had been sleeping all day. But when he woke up, he seen that Temari had sent a message 45 minutes ago.

Shikamaru opened the email and seen the weird message that his girlfriend had sent.

'What the fuck is wyd' He thought to himself as he sat up on the couch, to get a better view of the laptop that was placed upon a wooden coffee table that was right next to the couch.

ShikamaruNara: Huh?

Shikamaru was confused as he typed his message, running his fingers through his loose hair in frustration when Temari didn't message back right away.

ShikamaruNara: Tem, what does wyd mean?

When he didn't get an immediate response again he continued to message her, hoping that this wasn't some secret code that she wanted him decipher.

ShikamaruNara: Tem!!!!!

ShikamaruNara: I know you're home and if you don't respond in five minutes, I coming to Suna

Temari walked out of the bathroom solely wrapped in a towel, with her blonde hair dripping small drops of water. She was about to pass the laptop in order to go to her dresser, but out of the corner of her eye she seen the massive number of messages that her boyfriend had sent her.

She chuckled as she placed her fingers to the keyboard and began talking.

TemariNSabaku: Calm down lazyass, I'm fine. It's short for What are you doing.

Relieved at her reply, a reassuring grin appeared on his face and he could finally have a decent conversation with his girlfriend.

ShikamaruNara: Then wouldn't that be wayd?

TemariNSabaku: It's kinda like slang, but for emails.

Temari managed to message back in between getting dressed and combing her hair.

TemariNSabaku: Kankuro uses it all the time, and I know he messages you.

ShikamaruNara: Yea, but his emails are about the craziest shit, that I probably skipped right over it.

Temari laughed, ready to message back but she was interrupted by a knock on the door. And just by its gentleness, she know it was her youngest brother.

She ran to the door, wondering what brought her brother to her apartment this late at night.

"Gaara!" She motioned for him to enter the door as she noticed her other brother following right behind him.

"What are you guys doing here, you could've just emailed me" She explained as they made their way to the kitchen.

"Well I know it's late, but I have a task for you and Kankuro and I thought it was best to tell you in person." Gaara explained as Temari placed a cup of tea in front of him and Kankuro and decided to take a seat next to them at the kitchen table.

"Is everything okay?" Temari asked concerned, worried because Gaara said everything in such a calm manner, but him coming over so late made the situation seem serious.

"Yes Temari" Gaara reassured her, and turned to his brother to make sure he was calm also. "There's this project happening in Konoha and they would like to team up with Suna and the rest of Kaze no Kuni, to make sure everything is running smoothly."

"What project?" Kankuro asked, eager to see what this project had to do with him.

"Well, it's a faster form of transportation and Konoha, being our closest ally, wants to partner with them in making it. But because the land of rain sits right in between, they have also been included in this project."

"What's our role in this?" Kankuro asked as he pointed to him and Temari.

"Well construction will begin in Konoha, so I'm sending the two of you there to keep an eye on things while I'm here."

"Who's going to be here to help you with the village, I think one of us should stay here. Who knows how long this construction can take." Temari demanded, as she looked her brother closely in the eye. She did believe that one of them should stay back just in case anything were to happen with the village, she was just hoping it would be her brother since she hadn't seen her boyfriend in two months.

"Baki is just as strong as ever, and will be here to help me run the village. However with a construction and project as big as this, they need as much help and protection that they can get. So you two set out tomorrow at sunrise."

"Is that why you told me to pack up for a mission?" Kankuro sighed, wishing that he would've been resting instead of chasing these girls around Suna.

"Yes" Gaara smiled slyly at his siblings as he walked out the door, leaving the two of them by themselves.

"Can I crash on the couch Tema?" Kankuro yawned loudly as he laid down, not waiting for an answer.

"Yea, you already know where the covers are at. I'm about to go to sleep. Be prepared to wake up." Temari yawned herself, as she fell right into her bed, forgetting to reply to Shikamaru.
