Dani is all set for a quiet night in when she gets a call that Malcolm needs picked up from a bar. She's expecting to find a drunk Malcolm who mixed drugs and alcohol again. What she ends up getting is a whole lot more complicated.

After the bad guy has been dealt with, Malcolm isn't ready to go home alone. Luckily neither is Dani so he decides to treat her to something iconic: a night at Rockefeller Center.

Gil gets a late night call from Jessica in a panic. Malcolm has had his first night terror and she needs his help.

"Detective Powell, are you trying to seduce me?" he asks with a teasing lilt to his voice. She laughs quietly. "Depends. Is it working?" He turns his head toward her and captures her lips in a slow, sweet kiss. "It just might be."

Malcolm knew he had to get answers one way or another.

JT and Malcolm corner a killer in a wine cellar. The plan is to keep him contained until back up arrives, but when that doesn't work Malcolm steps in to keep JT from getting killed, and ends up taking the brunt of the killer's violence instead.

Gil thinks this is a great way to get the kid to open up about what was bothering him. Jessica isn't as sure.
