~ Adventure Logs of Vampires with Monsters in Their Pockets ~

It was Stefan's first day at Mystic Falls High School, and his faithful Flareon was safely tucked away in a Pokeball in his pocket. He didn't know that the creature had managed to sneak a freshly-hatched Eevee into his backpack, and he didn't find out until someone ran into him in the hallway and his backpack yelped in pain.

Frowning, Stefan slid one strap off his shoulder so he could pull the pack around to his front and unzip it to check on whichever little monster had snuck into his backpack. He assumed it was one of the many wild Rattata which kept sneaking into the house and getting into everything, so he was mildly surprised when an Eevee poked its head out.

With a disgruntled "Vee!" the Eevee climbed out of the backpack and jumped down to the floor.

Before it had a chance to run away, the little creature was scooped up by a nearby teenager, who petted its fluffy mane for a moment before turning to Stefan and saying, "Hey, uh. You dropped your Eevee."

"Yeah..." Stefan replied, just as awkwardly. "My Flareon keeps laying eggs under my bed. I didn't realize that one had hatched and decided to hitch a ride in my backpack."

"So... do you want it back?"

"You can keep it if you want. I've got too many of them already."

"Oh." The girl he was talking to seemed stunned for a moment, then she smiled. "Thanks! I would love to have an Eevee. My name is Caroline, the the way."

Stefan introduced himself, then added, "Needless to say, I'm new here."

Meanwhile, at the Salvatore house, Damon was feeding Pokemon blood to Baby Green Bat from a glass. At one point he set the glass down on the coffee table, and then got it mixed up with his own glass of human blood.

When he picked up what he thought was his own glass and a took a sip, he almost spit it back out.

"Nope, that one's definitely yours," he said. "Pokemon blood tastes gross. Stop laughing at me, Baby Blue Bat!"

The Pokemon blood was specifically Tauros blood, ethically sourced and sold from Moo Moo Farms, for the express purpose of feeding bat Pokemon.

Unfortunately for vampires, while they too could survive very well on the energy provided from drinking Pokemon blood, it tasted more like animal blood than human blood to them, and therefore very few vampires considered this widely-available and completely legal alternative blood source viable for their needs. (Stefan, however, was one of the few who felt it solved his problem neatly, and having bat Pokemon in their home was an easy cover for keeping a steady supply of Moo Moo Blood around.)
