Akatani sat in the backseat of his family's SUV as his dad drove through the busy city streets. It was Sunday and since the kids and Rumi had the day off from school it had been decided that they all go into the city for some family bonding time. While Akatani did not hate spending time with his family, he did find it hard to keep up with his high energy sisters and mom. Luckily his dad always made sure to stay by his side, and most of the time these kinds of family outings ended up with the triplets going off with their mom while Akatani and his dad hung out together and watched.

So far the family had stopped by the hero museum, the newest high-end ice cream shop, and the arcade by UA. Of course at every stop Akatani's mom had been repeatedly stopped and asked for autographs or pictures, but luckily none of the fans had been pushy enough to warrant a stern warning from the notoriously hot-blooded Miruko. Now the family was on the way to a nice restaurant for lunch.

However, it seemed that Akatani's dad had something different in mind.

With a sudden lurch that nearly made Akatani's head bounce off the window next to him, Izuku veered away from the highway off-ramp at the last second.

"Dad! What gives!?" Kaede said loudly in annoyance as she fumbled around under her seat where she had dropped her smartphone.

"Is something wrong honey?" Rumi asked curiously as she looked over at her husband in the driver's seat.

"We are being followed." Izuku said flatly as he glanced in the SUV's rear-view mirror.

Immediately the rest of the Midoriya family turned around in their seats to see who was following them.

After a few seconds of observation it became clear which car was tailing them. A generic gray sedan with tinted windows kept pace with the family SUV, always staying a few cars behind but never losing sight of the family.

Akatani gulped nervously. While the scary man from the alley had not reappeared since the initial encounter, Akatani had occasionally felt the eerie sensation of being watched ever since.

Surely the monster was not making such an overt move already?

Contrary to Akatani, the triplets seemed to be excited at the possibility of there being a confrontation with evil-doers.

"Do you know who it is, dad?" Chiyo asked excitedly as she and her two sisters kept pushing each other to get a better view.

"Are you and mom gonna beat them up?" Haru said with an eager grin on her face.

Akatani looked over to see his mom frown worriedly.

"I don't know." The silver-haired woman said honestly as she glanced over at her husband who was still driving. "Honey, do you have any idea who they might be? Do we need to call for backup?"

Izuku was quiet for a moment before responding, and Akatani could easily visualize the metaphorical gears turning in his dad's head.

"So far they have been keeping their distance." Izuku said flatly as he made a sudden lane change. "They don't seem to be professionals from what I can tell."

While his sisters continued to bicker with each other over viewing spots, Akatani felt a chill run down his spine as he saw his mom's eyes narrow with concern.

"Professionals as in…what you used to do?" Rumi said cryptically to her husband.

Izuku silently nodded.

Akatani could only guess what his mom was talking about. While the Midoriya kids knew that their dad used to be a soldier in the special forces, their dad had always been very vague about what he used to do. Not even their mom would shed any light on her husband's mysterious past, always saying that the kids would know when the time was right. The triplets had quickly lost interest in probing their dad about his past, especially when they had gotten accepted into UA, but Akatani had always quietly wondered why there was so much secrecy surrounding his dad.

Akatani was broken out of his thoughts as his dad quickly typed an address into the navigation console of the vehicle and took a quick exit off the highway.

"I have an idea." The green-haired father said simply. "Everyone, when I park the car follow me."

Immediately the triplets turned back to look at their dad with excitement in their eyes.

"Are we going to fight them?" All three said in unison.

Akatani rolled his eyes at his sisters' eagerness while their dad shook his head.

"No we are not." Izuku said sternly. "While the car following us is acting suspicious, they have not broken any laws or threatened us in any way. Don't go and do anything rash, understand?"

Obviously disappointed, the three girls all nodded glumly. "Yes dad."

After a short but tense drive, the Midoriya family arrived at their destination. As Izuku parked the car in the crowded parking lot, Akatani looked out his window to see where his dad had taken them. Their destination was a nondescript three story building. It looked like any other building you might see in the city, and Akatani was confused as to why his dad had chosen the destination.

Getting out of the SUV, the Midoriya family quickly made their way to the front door of the building and stepped inside. Past the front door was a front desk with a petite receptionist in casual clothes working at a computer. Akatani watched as his dad walked up to the receptionist with a smile on his face.

"Hello." Izuku said pleasantly. "I was wondering if my family and I could take a tour of your facilities."

The petite receptionist looked up at Izuku with a practiced smile on her face. "I am sorry sir. We do not provide tours to the public. Our memberships work by referral and unless you know an active member I cannot accommodate you. I am sorry for the inconvenience."

Akatani arched an eyebrow curiously as he watched his dad gesture to his family.

"Would make an exception for Miruko and her daughters that are currently in the UA hero program?" Izuku said with a grin.

Immediately the receptionist perked up as she looked past Izuku at Rumi and her daughters.

"Oh my gosh!" The receptionist squeaked excitedly. "You are Miruko's husband?! I had no idea, please accept my deepest apologies! Of course we would be delighted to provide you all with a tour! Hold on a sec!"

As the receptionist pulled out a phone and made a call Akatani looked over his shoulder and out the nearest window that provided a view of the parking lot. Like a shark circling its prey, the creepy sedan that had been following them slowly drove through the parking lot.

Suddenly there was the sound of exuberant laughing and Akatani turned back to see a large muscular man with spiky red hair walk into the room.

"Midoriya!" The imposing man said loudly with obvious recognition. "What the heck man! If I knew you were coming I would have given you a bigger welcome!"

Akatani watched in confusion as his dad gave the hulking man a firm handshake. The red-haired man wore black nylon shorts, sneakers, and plain white t-shirt that looked like it could barely contain his massive muscles.

"Sorry Kirishima." Izuku said seriously. "Give me a second to explain."

Immediately Izuku whispered something to the red-haired man, making the man's jolly demeanor be replaced by a fierce look.

"Of course." The red-haired man said understandingly as he gestured for the rest of the Midoriya family to follow him. "Come with me."

Following behind his sisters, Akatani stepped through a pair of frosted glass doors and was surprised by what he saw.

As the doors closed behind him, Akatani looked around at what could only be described as a high-end pro-hero gym. The entire first floor was one massive room filled with all sorts of expensive exercise equipment, and hanging high on the back wall was a giant bright red banner that displayed the words "GYM UNBREAKABLE".

"Holy crap dad!" Kaede exclaimed in shock and excitement. "You know Red Riot!?"

Finally putting the pieces together, Akatani could only stare with his mouth agape as the popular pro-hero known as Red Riot laughed warmly.

"Something like that." Izuku said with a grin.

"Oh come on man!" Red Riot said in disbelief. "You don't give yourself enough credit. You were my role-model all through highschool!"

Red Riot then turned to Rumi and gave her a happy smile. "Nice to see you again, Miruko."

Rumi grinned. "I am only Miruko at UA now. Outside of school it is Mrs. Midoriya."

Barking out another laugh, Red Riot nodded. "Got it, my mistake."

Turning to face the starstruck triplets, Red Riot gave them all a charming smile. "Nice to meet you. Good luck in UA, who is your sensei?"

Haru spoke up first. "Eraserhead is our sensei!"

Red Riot chuckled. "Is he still super grouchy?"

Chiyo giggled. "When isn't he grouchy?"

Red Riot then turned to face Akatani.

"Nice to meet you man." The intimidating man said cheerfully. "What school do you go to?"

Faced with such an imposing presence, Akatani could only stare at the floor and mumble his answer quietly. Making Red Riot quirk an eyebrow.

"Sorry I couldnt hear what you said." The muscular pro-hero said honestly.

Immediately, Akatani felt a comforting arm wrap around his shoulder and looked up to his mom standing next to him protectively.

"He is shy." She said with a hint of steel in her voice. "It takes him a little bit to open up to people. Let him be."

Nodding understandingly, Red Riot held up his hands in mock surrender. "Got it, no problem."

Stepping back, Red Riot's face took on a more serious expression as he pulled out his smartphone. "I am gonna watch the security cameras for a bit. While I do that, there is someone else here that will definitely want to talk to you guys."

Turning around, Red Riot let loose a shout that felt like it shook the building.

"ASHIDO! MIDORIYA IS HERE!"

There was a clatter from nearby and a pink-skinned woman with yellow horns sprinted over with an excited squeal coming from her mouth.

"MIDORIYA!"

With a happy smile on her face, the pink woman immediately embraced Akatani's dad in a tight hug.

While Akatani might not follow the pro-hero scene as closely as his sisters, even he knew the bubbly pro-hero known as Pinky. She was a pro-hero known not only for her heroic exploits, but also for her frequent appearances in fashion and beauty magazines. Not only that, she was an accomplished dancer who had performed alongside famous musicians and bands from all over the country.

There was also the fact that Pinky was frequently in the top rankings for "sexiest pro-hero", a fact that Akatani was acutely aware of but would never publicly admit to knowing.

Akatani watched in amusement as his dad coughed awkwardly and lightly hugged Pinky back.

"Nice to see you again Ashido." Izuku said diplomatically as he quickly broke out of the hug.

Pinky then turned and gave Akatani's mom a respectful bow.

"Nice to see you again Miruko." The pink-haired hero said with a grin.

Rumi grinned back. "I am only Miruko when I teach. Outside of school I am Mrs. Midoriya."

Pinky giggled. "That is so freakin cute! I swear, you guys are a match made in heaven."

Stepping back, Pinky gasped in awe. "Holy crap! Uraraka was not lying! You two look like you barely aged at all! What is your secret?!"

Izuku chuckled and shrugged. "Good genes I guess? Your guess is as good as mine."

Pinky seemed to finally notice that there were kids behind the two legendary adults, and squealed in delight. "Ohmygod are these your kids?! They are sooo cute!"

At this point the triplets were looking at their dad like he had been living some kind of secret life behind their backs.

"You know Pinky as well?!" Haru said in shock.

"What the heck dad?!" Chiyo yelled in exasperation.

Kaede seemed to be too shocked to speak, simply staring at her dad with her jaw agape.

"Your dad never mentioned me?" Pinky said with mock indignation. "Unbelievable! After all he put me through I would have thought I would at least be mentioned somewhere along the line."

Giggling at her own joke, Pinky then fixed her gaze on Akatani.

"Well aren't you a cutie!" The yellow-horned hero said in amazement. "What is your name?"

Acutely aware of the bright red blush spreading across his cheeks, Akatani could only mumble incoherently in reply.

Haru giggled in amusement. "His name is Akatani. He doesn't talk much, but I have never seen him blush like that before."

Glaring daggers at his grinning sister, Akatani wished he could just melt into the ground and disappear.

Obviously understanding her effect on the Akatani, Pinky giggled and batted her eyelashes at the boy teasingly.

"Don't worry about it, cutiepie." The pro-hero said flirtatiously.

Akatani felt relief wash over him as his mom stepped in front of him protectively and gave Pinky a hard glare. "Knock it off Ashido."

Gulping nervously, Pinky quickly stepped back with a slightly fearful smile on her face. "Sorry Mrs. Midoriya, I got a little carried away."

Thankful that his mom was there to stop everyone from teasing him, Akatani noticed a young man approaching the group. The man was dressed in a workout outfit similar to Red Riot, just with different clothing colors. He had short black hair, brown eyes, and an athletic build that was clearly earned from constant exercise.

"Hey Boss." The young man said to Red Riot respectfully as he got close. "Are you giving a tour to new members?"

Red Riot looked up from his phone and shook his head. "Nope, just helping out some old friends."

The athletic young man looked at the Midoriya family and when his gaze fell upon Akatani's mom his eyes lit up with recognition.

"Holy shit! Is that Miruko?!" The young man said in disbelief.

"Watch your language, Kinoshita." Red Riot said firmly. "There are kids here."

The man named Kinoshita nodded. "Sorry boss." He then extended his hand to Akatani's mom with an eager smile on his face. "Nice to meet you, Miruko! My name is Steelfist."

Akatani could tell his mom was irritated that a stranger had butted his way into the group, but was keeping her face neutral.

"Hi." Rumi said flatly as she gave the stranger's hand a single shake.

Clearly oblivious to the cold greeting, Kinoshita continued to talk to Rumi.

"How do you know the boss? Are you gonna start coming here? I heard you were teaching at UA, do you ever plan to get back into pro-hero work?"

Red Riot put a hand on Kinoshita's shoulder. "Kinoshita, don't you have to finish your sets or something?"

Not taking the hint, Kinoshita shook his head with a smile. "Nah, I can finish them later."

Then the oblivious man's gaze finally landed on Izuku.

"Who is he?" Kinoshita said bluntly.

Red Riot smiled and gestured to Akatani's dad proudly. "He is Mr. Midoriya, Miruko's husband. He also trained Pinky and I back when we were in UA. He is amazing, you won't find many people in this world as manly as him."

Kinoshita's eyes widened in surprise as he examined Akatani's dad. "Really? Well I guess that makes sense considering Miruko married him. Was he a pro-hero?"

Red Riot shook his head. "Nope, he was an agent for the Ministry of Defense. The man has all sorts of accomplishments to his name and can fight with the best of them. All the more impressive considering he doesn't have a quirk."

Kinoshita froze and stared at Izuku with a strange look in his eyes.

"Wait a sec. You mean he is quirkless?"

Kinoshita spat out the last word of his sentence like it was a slur, making everyone except Izuku visibly flinch.

Akatani gulped nervously as he watched his mom slowly clench her fists.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Rumi growled threateningly.

Oblivious to just how much danger he was putting himself in, Kinoshita continued to speak.

"I just don't get it." Kinoshita said ignorantly. "Why would you marry someone who isnt as strong as you? I mean, he is handsome. I will give him that. But I just find it hard to believe that a quirkless person is as great as you all are saying."

To Akatani's surprise, it was Red Riot that made the first move.

"WATCH YOUR MOUTH KINOSHITA!" Red Riot roared in anger and shock. "How dare you talk to Mr. Midoriya that way! Apologize right now!"

His face full of confusion and fear, Kinoshita shrunk back as Red Riot towered over him.

Before things could escalate, a calm voice pierced the air.

"Everyone calm down." Izuku said in an authoritative tone.

Regaining his composure, Red Riot turned back towards Izuku. Meanwhile, Pinky glared venomously at the bewildered Kinoshita.

"I am so sorry Mr. Midoriya." Red Riot said desperately. "I had no idea he would say that. I will revoke his gym membership immediately and ban him from the premises."

Akatani watched as his dad sighed and shook his head.

"No need for that Kirishima." The green-haired father said evenly. "Don't punish him for being ignorant. If anything it means he has much to learn about the world. He is still young, maybe this incident will open his eyes."

Red Riot looked like he wanted to say something more, but simply nodded.

"I'm sorry boss." Kinoshita said weakly to Red Riot's back. "I was just…surprised. If you say he is manly I believe you."

Akatani wanted to groan in annoyance, this guy really did not know when to shut up.

Akatani flinched as his mom stomped over to Kinoshita and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

"You are lucky my husband is so nice to an undeserving piece of shit like you." The silver-haired woman growled angrily. "I better not hear you talk about him like that again, or else I will break your fucking jaw."

Akatani was surprised his mom did not at least give the man a black eye, but it seemed she didn't want to cause a scene in front of her kids.

Rumi then roughly shoved the quivering Kinoshita away and watched as the young man quickly fled.

There was a minute of awkward silence, until Pinky finally spoke.

"Man that totally sucked." The pink-haired woman said grumpily. "I didn't think there would still be people who thought that way in this day and age."

Akatani silently nodded in agreement.

"I am used to it." Izuku said flatly. "Not the first time, definitely won't be the last. When I was a kid everyone except my mom was the same way. Some people change, some don't. Hopefully he is one of those that can change."

Nobody seemed to have a good response to that statement. Instead of speaking, Rumi simply went over to her husband and gave him a tight hug. Immediately following their mom's lead, the triplets joined the hug as well. Finally, Akatani went over and joined the group hug as well.

After a few seconds of hugging, the family broke apart but stayed close to Izuku.

Red Riot eventually spoke up after checking his smartphone again. "Well it seems whoever was following you left. If you want I can give you guys an escort home."

Izuku shook his head. "It's fine Kirishima, thanks for the offer though."

Pinky suddenly spoke up. "Is there anything we can do to make things up to you Mr. Midoriya? I feel bad that your first visit here had to end like that."

Izuku smiled at Pinky reassuringly. "Don't worry about it Ashido."

Red Riot then walked over and extended a hand to Izuku.

"Nice seeing you again Mr. Midoriya." The red-haired hero said. "You ever need anything just give me a call."

"Actually I just had an idea." Izuku replied as he shook Red Riot's hand. "I assume you are still in contact with your friends from UA. Why don't we have a little reunion dinner next Sunday at my house? There is plenty of room in the backyard, the weather is supposed to be nice, and I have been looking for an excuse to break out the grill."

Akatani raised his eyebrows in surprise as Red Riot chuckled warmly.

"That does sound like fun." Red Riot said with a smile. "Been awhile since everyone has gotten together just to hang out."

Akatani's dad nodded. "Good. I can cook, but tell everyone they are more than welcome to bring appetizers or drinks if they want."

"A cookout? Count me in!" Pinky cheered.

As everyone said their goodbyes, Akatani wondered just who else would be coming by his family's house.
