Ward had completely lost himself to the darkness since that day. And he vowed to get revenge on SHIELD no matter what, even if that mean putting himself in harm's way to do so. But there's a chance that he can be saved from the darkness and be brought back to the light, and that way is no other than Skye. She's his only hope. (Spoilers for S2 finale.)

When the secondary SHIELD broke into Phil's base they left some damage. They also left someone damaged and only Mack can pick up the pieces. I mean, he did kind of throw Fitz into the floor.

The one where Melinda has some BIG news for Phil or the first time that dorky little Jewish boy experiences the miracle of Christmas a.k.a. why the Christmas Eve of 1987 is the BEST ONE EVER.

Why should Ward get love when Skye was still so angry and heartbroken? What kind of contrary universe was this, where people so misshapen and carrying so many dents got their happy ending and she, who should be happy for a change, was having nightmares almost daily? She hasn't forgiven Ward, how could it be that he was happy and she broken?

May's pregnant, but she doesn't want anyone to know, so when Jemma starts suspecting something, naturally Skye steps in to take the fall. Now everyone thinks it's Skye who is pregnant, which is going to be a problem when all Jemma wants to do is give her a scan.
