AU after Captain America: The Winter Soldier & The End of the Beginning, spoilers also. After S.H.I.E.L.D. is destroyed, Coulson and his team attempts to solve a cold case of the former Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., but things aren't as they seem, and Skye may finally figure out who her parents are.

May and Coulson are Skye parents however since their daughter married Ward against their wishes and Coulson fired the pair when he found out what will they do? Coulson regrets his decision of firing his daughter, but now that she has ran away will he be able to find her in time, before he biological father shows up? Or will he never earn her forgiveness back? Prequel available :-)

Grant and Kara Lynn are relaxing in Rio; Lance and Coulson go to meet and recruit them, backed by Deathlok; Hydra intervenes. Things get slightly insane from there forwards.

The truth of what she almost accomplished hit her and her knees buckled as a hand came up to her mouth. The woman – Jiaying – she'd said "it certainly looks like you're capable of it." Capable of murder. Skye realizes just what her actions at the end of 2x16 could have meant, and needs Lincoln to ground her as she falls apart. Hints of pre-Skye/Lincoln.

Kara is so completely done with this road trip to save Skye and SHIELD.
