It's 1917 and two soldiers wake up in a green field with no idea where they are, with no money and great difficulty speaking to the locals. (This story is more of an exploration into the world of GATE, including looking into the language and culture).

When the GATE appeared in Japan, it opened opportunities for the nation and dubbed the new world "The Special Region". However, Earth wasn't the only world to receive a GATE, the GATE also appeared in the Afterlife often referred to as The Other Side or the Spiritual Realm inadvertently connecting the two worlds together.
