Chapter 7: Lavender Colors
Willow examines the lavender bush resting on her desk, grown from the Valentino flower. It really was the prettiest plant in her room. Though she did find it odd how it grew into a bush instead of a sapling. But what would she know? She's only been taking her little plant hobby seriously for a little over a year. Ah, the mysteries of plant life. That's very much why Willow loves the things.
Willow jots down notes in her doodle filled journal. She wasn't the usual type to write down notes nor pay attention in class, as you can see from her unaligned penmanship, but she always happens to make special exceptions when it comes to things that intrigue her.
She worries if her parents are comfortable with her being in the plant track. She initially asked them for advice on which track to take as she knew plants weren't really the best branch to take in terms of… Financial options. But her fathers support her.
They've bought her books, pottery, though they do wonder why Hexside would let Willow keep the plants she brought home. (They didn't actually give them to her. She grew them from the trimmings. Which is technically not illegal!)
But support or not! What matters to her is that she's finally in the plant track! Soon enough she'll be back in school and will no longer be worrying about messing up Abominations again! (And maybe pirating more plants for her collection.)
Her scroll pops up. Luz started a call in their group chat.
"Hello?"
"Willow!" Luz yells, almost bursting Willow's ear drums. "Are you ready for school next week! We were just talking about it!"
Gus butts in, "Uhh. Willow isn't really the type to—"
"YES!" Willow yells back, much to Gus's shock.
"Huh Really? But I thought you hated school?"
"Not anymore..." Willow groans, almost yearning for the week to pass. As her friends talk, she looks over to see a stray leaf falling gently onto her bush, before dissolving instantly.
"Enchanting..." she whispered to herself.
"What was that Willow?" Luz said.
"Nothing." She said, jotting down more notes.
