This chapter would've been up sooner but I lost my motivation for a bit and I got busy again. I hope this chapter is good!

The Bros finally made it to the Rock World and stopped at a nearby Toad House. They ran out of items after fighting Iggy at his castle and needed more. As they were leaving the Toad House, they were greeted by a group of Monty Moles. Mario and Luigi began to jump on their heads, immediately stopping the Monty Moles. The two then continued walking through the Rock World.
Mario and Luigi ran into some more Monty Moles and some Stone Spikes on their journey, but the enemies were either defeated or easily avoided. A few Buzzy Beetles were standing by a stone and noticed the Bros heading near them. The Buzzy Beetles began to run towards them. Luigi ran towards one and jumped on it, making it hide inside of its shell. Mario then kicked the shell towards the other Buzzy Beetles, defeating them all. Mario and Luigi continued on their journey through the area.
Later on Mario and Luigi ran into more enemies in the area. They then made it to Morton's fortress and went inside. As they entered, they saw giant skewers inside. Mario and Luigi did their best to avoid being hit by the skewers. Mario ended up getting hit by one, turning into Small Mario. Luigi saw a block nearby and hit it, revealing a Mushroom. Luigi grabbed the Mushroom and gave it to Mario.
After turning back to normal, the Bros continued going through the fortress. A couple of Dry Bones and Rocky Wrenches were in their way, but the enemies were quickly stopped. The two were getting closer to Morton when three Sledge Bros jumped in front of them. Luigi took out two Propeller Mushrooms and gave one to Mario. The Sledge Bros began to jump in the air. Before they could land, Mario and Luigi flew into the air and landed on two of the Sledge Bros. The last Sledge Bro started throwing sledge hammers at them, but the two dodged them.
Mario flew into the air again and landed on the Sledge Bro's head, finally stopping him. The brothers then entered Morton's room. The Koopaling smiled evilly as he did a ground pound, stunning the brothers. Morton then used his wand to shoot energy blasts at the bros. Mario and Luigi dodged them and Mario began to spin in the air. He landed on Morton's head, making him retreat into his shell.
Morton began to spin around the room, but the Bros dodged his attack. When Morton came out of his shell, he did another ground pound. Mario and Luigi jumped into the air so they wouldn't get stunned again. Morton shot more energy blasts at them. Luigi was hit by one and lost his propeller suit. Mario took out a fire flower and threw it to Luigi. Luigi then threw a few fire balls at Morton, making him go back inside of his shell.
After spinning around again, Morton got out of his shell and did another ground pound. Mario didn't jump in time and was stunned. Morton began to shoot energy blasts at them again, hitting Mario this time. Mario lost his propeller suit and also took out a fire flower. The Bros began to throw fire balls at the Koopaling, finally stopping him. Morton got up and ran out of the fortress and headed to his castle.
Mario and Luigi left the fortress and walked through the area. They stopped at another Toad House to get more items and to rest for a bit. As the two rested on the floor, Luigi looked over at his brother.
"I hope the girls are alright." He said.
"Me too. But I'm sure we'll get to them soon." Mario replied. Luigi leaned against the wall and sighed.
"Soon all of this will be over and then we'll have to help Jasmine get home." Luigi said as he stretched.
"Yup. I'm gonna miss her. She's a good kid." Mario smiled. After resting for a few more minutes, Mario and Luigi said goodbye to the Toad and headed to Morton's castle.
Edit 7/9/22: Now I'm going to read through the next chapter to see if anything needs to be fixed
I am going to try to work on the next chapter one day this week if I'm not too busy.
