Based off of the movie Brokeback Mountain. A story in which Chris takes a job on Blackwood Mountain in order to make money to support him and his fiancée, Ashley. Then he meets Josh Washington, and everything he thought he knew about the world-and himself-changes... A more detailed and better summary inside. What if Sam ran for the switch in the lodge and killed Ashley, Emily, and Mike in the flames, how might Chris, Matt, and Jess react if they survivied? And that Josh, too, "survivies" upon the mountain...

After what happened in the mountain, after Matt's gruesome death, and after the police interviews, a new fate awaits the seven friends. A fate that broke them, but will also put them back together. A fate that'll make everybody stronger than ever. A fate that'll make the friends to never forget each other.

Now that Jess was closer, Emily could smell the reek of alcohol on her breath and see the rosy flush in her cheeks. It seemed like Jess was drunker than she was when Emily left her. As Jess wrapped her arms around Emily's neck and pulled her closer, Emily realized she was definitely much, much drunker.
