This chapter is dedicated to She Who Loves Pineapples. Thank you so much for sticking with me through these long update gaps, and for your support! You rule! Everyone go check out their stories, especially Closure, as that story is now canon to my version of Josh. Thanks again!

Sanae Hanekoma was alone for a day after the Composer's outburst. The Producer frowned deeply as he kept watchful eyes on his charge. The power flux was both encouraging and discouraging, and he feared the latter was going to be a problem. If Apollo's method hadn't been stopped, there was no telling if Joshua's power flux wouldn't have destroyed everything in a 24 mile radius.

Truthfully, Sanae was glad his boy was showing outward signs of open defiance of his current situation, although he secretly wished the 'teen' wouldn't have taken things so far. It reminded him of Joshua's early days shortly after ascending to Composer, and his violent outburst after discovering that he could visit the RG at will and interact with patrons of that realm. This wouldn't have been so bad if the new Composer hadn't gone visiting when Daichi was in a foul mood.

Joshua had little love for either of his parents, especially during his teen years. Daichi was higher on his list than Sasha, however, since his mother at least kept her hands off him when she was upset or embarrassed. Daichi Kiryu was a known drunk abuser, and Joshua was seen in pants and either sweatshirts or long-sleeved t-shirts when the older man was in a foul week or had just gotten home from a lousy business trip. The man had even tried to drown his son in a fountain after a particularly eventful night at the bar, the only reason Joshua survived the experience was because Shibuya's former Composer willed it, and Joshua's spirit was too stubborn to die.

So it came as no suprise that when Joshua became endowed with power, the first thing he'd use it on would be the source of most of his childhood and teen torment. However, surprisingly, he only went to the Estates that day to check on his mother and screw with her a little (again) before testing out his abilities on other, lesser fools such as the Sarahara men or his teachers. Imagine the rage the new Composer felt when he arrived at his childhood prison...only to find Daichi beating his mother savagely with a broken bottle.

Joshua hated both parents to an extent. But he would be damned if Daichi made his mother suffer like he had suffered! Not when he finally had the power to put an end to his father's cruelty once and for all.

All it took was a snap of his fingers, and a single thought, to bring Daichi Kiryu to his knees. The CEO found himself looking into the cold, amethyst eyes of death himself, and there was no mercy in their violet hue. Sanae had been adamant that the Composer wasn't allowed to kill any RG souls while visiting the plane...but he probably should have realized that had he not given that piece of advice, the man would not be facing a fate worse than incineration.

Joshua snarled at his father, and Daichi trembled. His mother looked on, both horrified and surprised to see him again, especially because he departed with no intentions of coming back last time he visited.

"Joshua?"

He gave her a pitious smirk before turning to his real target, that being the human trash kneeling at his feet like the cur he actually was, his wide eyes not truly believing that the skinny form of his son was actually present.

"You can barely see two inches in front of you, Father. But you know who I am. I can see on your face that you regret nothing you've just done. I don't like either of you, but you I loath on a very deep level. But don't worry. I'm not going to kill you. I honestly don't want you ruining my afterlife as well."

"Joshua...please…"

The eyes became harder, if that was possible "You beg. Smart choice, but you know...it won't save you. Isn't that what you told me?"

Daichi Kiryu was found sprawled on his floor, his heart had fluctuated, and his spine had been mysteriously burned. Not just the muscle either, the actual bone. He had been paralysed from the waste down, and Sasha Kiryu was soon admitted to a mental ward for stating adamently that their son had come back from the dead and had commited the crime. The Composer had watched her get commited with a genuinely terrible smile on his face, and his eyes light with justified satisfaction. He had, after all, told her this would happen. He reveled in the irony. She had wanted to send him away, and now she was going to the same facility. He did regret that the facility was not in Shibuya, so he wouldn't be able to enjoy the irony from close up.

However Daichi was a different story.

Hanekoma remembered well the wrath of the Composer against his father. Joshua refused to let Daichi heal. Every time his spine was close to mending, a raw beam of agony came to screw it up again. This continued until the CEO finally passed on. Joshua didn't even bother putting him in the Game. He just erased him on the spot.

As Sanae looked at the tossing, moaning figure on the couch, he was damn glad that Apollo hadn't brought that side of the 'teen' out just yet. The power flux was indeed the result of the Higher Being pushing Joshua too far...but if Apollo had gone for his mind more fervently…

Half of Shibuya would have been gone.
