This is speculative on my part - based on that picture of Lisbon and Jane by the pond. If you're seen the shots for the final, you know the one. It just feels like there's more going on there than you'd think.

Set during Brown Eyed Girls, some backstory scenes and cannon subtext to explore denial and how it affects relationships in the Mentalist. Even the smartest man in the room can't solve a problem if he refuses to look at it honestly.
