Hey! It's been forever since I've updated :'(. School, work and personals issues really took most of my free time. But due to...certain events, I have now been able to stay home and draw, watch Netflix, and write ofc. Here's a few prompts/snippets I wrote between online classes and baking Pinterest desserts. Y'all choose what I write next (I'll probably write all of them at some point though) (^-^)
"I-I guess" he finally sputters out. "I guess I like you, is what I was tryin' to say"
"You guess?" Hoshi quirks an eyelid and pops another candy piece into his mouth.
Kaito fumbles some more. "I'm sure!" he barks out. "Well...I'm pretty sure I'm sure. I mean, I never liked a dude before so..." A blush tints his cheeks as he tries to flatten the hairs on the back of his neck.
Hoshi nibbles on his piece of candy in thought. Honestly, he hadn't excepted his best friend to call him out to the school courtyard and confess to him. In fact, It was maybe one of the last things he'd expected to happen on this warm spring day. But here he is, munching down on cheap sweets while his friend becomes increasingly more fidgety as the silence between them starts to stretch a little thin. He should probably say something before Kaito faints or something.
"Can't say I've ever been confessed to by a guy before either."
Tenko stared at the offending object as if it were infected by sort of viral disease which, considering it was made by, it might as well have been.
The thing was absolutely horrendous. Its jagged edges cut crudely into something resembling an oversized heart. It was hard to tell what it was at first with all the crap glued, stapled, wrapped, or otherwise adhered to the scrap of cardboard. Bits of lace and ribbon, fake flowers, paints splatters and an ungodly amount of glitter covered every inch it. Tenko wondered if the damn thing could even support itself if it wasn't stuck to her locker with several strips of duct tape.
Of course, the most offending aspect about it wasn't the fact that it looked like one of Angie's rejected art projects. There, written in barely legible purple glitter glue, the sender had scrawled a most heinous message:
You are the A-KEY-do to my heart
Be My Valentine-
XOXO, Kokichi
The first time, it just kind of slips out while hanging out after class one day. They're in the gardens behind school, crouched together in the grass. It's just the two of them and Gonta is showing Kaede the various types species of the ant population and the pianist is trying to pay attention- she really is- but she can't help being distracted by how handsome his profile is or the way sun's ray catch his wild mane of hair or how utterly adorably excited he gets when he talks about which breeds of ants are native to Japan and which were transported here long ago via trade routes and ...
"Geez," she sighs softly. "I think...I'm starting to like you." She thinks she says this in her head until the entomologist pauses and then turns to look at her.
Crap.
Kaede freezes. Despite being in the shade, she feels her face flush under his gaze.
Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Did I say that out loud?
But Gonta just gives her a warm smile. "Gonta likes Kaede too!"
