Chapter 3: A battle in the stormy skies, Welcome to Vigoor.
Land of Earth, in the blimp
Ryu was laying upwards on the bed while Naruto and Tsuru were playing checkers on the floor trying to pass the time until they reach Vigoor. Currently Tsuru was winning. "King me." She said.
"Fine." Naruto said making Tsuru's black piece a king. "So how far are we now?"
"We should be just entering the Land of Fang and we should reach Vigoor's capital in just under an hour." Ryu answered.
Just then a voice from the intercom spoke. "Attention passenger, thisisyourcaptainspeaking. We have just been informed of some dangerous and hostile people on bord so we advise everyone to stay in their rooms. Thank you."
This confused the ninja. "What the? There are no other passengers let alone a captain? This blimp is on autopilot." Naruto said looking over at Ryu who he could tell was thinking the same thing.
"Naruto, Tsuru. Get ready! I feel were about to have company soon." Ryu said getting up. They soon existed the room with their weapons at the ready.
"Naruto. Do you hear anything?" Tsuru asked.
"No. This Thunderstorm is too loud for me to hear any background noises." Naruto answered.
Just then the glass of the windows were broken into as soldiers wearing tactical suits of either black or white armed with combat knives and side pistols came in 6 in total.
The 3 sprang into action with Ryu using the Dragon sword to reflect the bullet aimed at him and then recognised one of them to hit another soldier Before moving as fast as the eye could see to decapitate the soldier that was shooting at him.
Naruto although surprised considering he uses his senses to give him a head start on enemies quickly aimed for 2 soldiers Turning his boat into a spear doing a quick sweep of the leg causing one soldiers To huddle down in pain and then quickly threw his spear into the other soldier Pearson his chest before grabbing his gun shooting at the soldier he wounded earlier finishing him off.
Tsuru took care of the last two by Jumping over one of them and using her feet to grab their head and using their momentum to flip the 1st guy into the 2nd one and then took out an explosive Kunai and without hesitation threw it at them causing it to explode killing them both.
With the enemies now dispatched they could take this time to talk and think. "I guess this is Vigoor's welcoming committee. You two alright?" Ryu asked.
"Yeah." Naruto answered trying to focus his senses thinking that there is most likely more enemies that have infiltrated the airship.
"Yes." Tsuru answered. "How exactly did they discover us so soon?"
"I don't know but we'll need to get back to that after we deal with these soldiers." Ryu said making a mental note. "Naruto, do you hear anything?"
"Yes. With this thunderstorm going on I can't hear anything outside but I can definitely hear and smell that more soldiers have already entered the blimp. They've completely taken over and have begun searching for us." Naruto answered.
"So The whole ship is compromised, huh. Not the best of circumstances. We could try to reclaim the blimp but. We need to the control room and it looks like we'll have to fight our there." Ryu said. "Keep your weapons out and ready, but remember to conserve your strength. There's no reason for us to fight seriously yet."
"So no Ninpo, Magic, or Anything too special then. No Problemo. Ready Tsuru?" Naruto said and asked while straining the scroll on his back.
"I'm always ready." Tsuru said taking out a small katana.
The 3 soon for their way through the soldiers with Ryu being the frontal attacker with Naruto and Tsuru covering his blind spots on the left and right.
Ryu's attacks were strong and aggressive and his superior reflexes made it nearly impossible for the soldiers to land a hit on him whether it was with their knives or their guns.
Naruto in contrast to Ryu was fighting mostly defensively using his bo to block and redirect the bullets back at the enemy.
Tsuru was utilising her speed to great effect being able to dodge their bullets and quickly getting in close to the enemy to land a decisive blow whether its from the back or the front then quickly dashing away again now wanting to get hit because she was standing still.
After a few minutes of battling they took care of the soldiers in this section and made their way to the control room.
"It looks like the autopilot is still on and we're still on corse." Naruto said checking the controls. "But with the situation as it is will never get into Vigoor unnoticed."
"And they most likely informed their people there of us and will no doubt have a welcoming committee there too." Tsuru added. "So what's the plan now Ryu?"
Ryu was silent for a few seconds before speaking. "Naruto you'll have to apologize to your godmother for me, because unfortunately we'll have to crash thing."
"What?!" Said both Naruto and Tsuru.
"We're going to abandon ship but not before crashing our blimp and theirs so if there are people waiting for us they'll be detracted by the crash and will think we're dead. That'll give us the cover we'll need to sneak into Vigoor unnoticed." Ryu explained. "I'll go up top and destroy the blimp above us while you two go down to the engine room and set it to explode then immediately abandoned ship and wait for me. Any questions?" Ryu said while motioning towards some parachutes.
Both of them only shook their heads meaning no.
"Good. Do what you need to do and get off and I'll join you both afterwards." Ryu said leaving.
"I guess it's just you and me for now Naruto." Tsuru said.
"Looks like it. I know it's silly but I almost feel bad for the soldiers upwards. Without us with him, Ryu is relentlessly unstoppable." Naruto joked.
"Well I don't." Tsuru said harshly.
With Ryu
Ryu was fighting his way up taking down any soldier that tried to stop him.
He came through a hallway where he was ambushed by 7 soldiers all with their guns trained on him. "Open Fire!"
They all fired at once but Ryu from his perspective it could see the bullets in slow motion and was able to block them with his sword and even redirect them towards some of the soldiers killing one of them before moving fast enough to leave after images and delivered a force palm to one of them in area where the heart is and grab their plasma sword and with one spin was able to quickly decapitate a soldier on his right and slit the throat of a soldier on his right successfully killing 4 leaving 2.
The last two try to outsmart Ryu by one of them trying to charge at him with their plasma sword while the other kept the distance ready to shoot him if he saw an opening. Ryu charged head on and quickly stabbed the first one with his sword running him through as the second one fired thinking he has an opening only for him to shoot an afterimage as were you appeared in front of him and quickly disarmed him before he kneed him in the gut before taking his head and snapping his neck. With all his opponents dead he went over to retrieve his dragon sword and went through the door they were guarding.
He was now in the addict of the airship with 3 soldiers standing between him and the ladder leading up to the roof of the blimp. They readied their guns preparing to shoot him but Ryu dash forward with speed comparable to Might Guy and got behind them. With one swing of his sword he did a Triple decapitation taking all 3 of their heads off.
With that taken care of he climbed up the ladder To the roof of the blimp where he was met with What looked to be a overweight cyborg with a oversize gun for a right hand. "So this is one of the intruders? I feel underwhelmed." The Cyborg known as general dynamo said.
"The feelings mutual. But while we're on the subject, mind telling me how you knew I was here?" Ryu questioned.
"I don't see a reason to considering you'll be dead soon." The General said aiming his gun at Ryu firing what looked to be in electrical energy beam. Ryu quickly dodged the attack before running in at high speed and once getting close enough he did a few sword slashes before jumping away and saw that his sword was able to cut and pierce his metal flesh. "How can you cut me with just a Sword?!" The Cyborg General asked shocked.
"I don't see any reason to answer any considering you'll be dead soon." Ryu said throwing the general's words back at him.
Land of Earth, Rock Village, Tuschikage's office.
Onoki the 3rd Tschikage was doing paperwork when suddenly his office phone rang. "What is it, I'm very busy."
"Lord Tuschikage! we have a dire emergency!" A rock ninja said panicked. "Our Outposts Outside the village just spotted Joe Hayabusa walking towards the village!"
This brought a look of shock and fear to Onoki's face. "How far has he gotten and how many people are with him?!"
"It's only him, and he's only walking. At the rate he's going he'll be at the Village by tomorrow night."
"Why would he move at such a slow pace?" Onoki wondered. "Send word to our Ninja in Tairon and tell them to come back! while at the mean time send every available jonin or cunin to try and slow him down. Will Box him in and take him out!"
"We already tried to contact them but we can't get a signal and the weather is to bad to send a Carrier pigeon."
"Dammit! then send the Frontal assault And slow him down while we Engage a village defences!" Onoki ordered getting a yes sire before hanging up. "Does he know of our involvement in the attack? Either way we can't let him get close to the village no matter what! We can't let him find out what happened to our to Tailed beasts."
Land of Fang, with Naruto and Tsuru
The two Sibling disciples were fighting their way down the airship In order to reach the control Room defeating all who stood in their way.
They soon made it outside at the lowest part of the airship and quickly saw the engine room that was across from the balcony with only a rope being there only way across. "So...how we going to do this?" Naruto asked.
"What do you think? Obviously one of us is going to scale over and reach the engine room." Tsuru said before a thought came to her mind that made her smile a bit wickedly which is a rarity for her at Naruto. "Wait. Your not scared are you? Because you're the last person I would ever think would be afraid of heights."
"What?! I'm not scared of heights but what I am scared of is standing on a thin piece of line walking over a gap while 10,000 feet in the air in a thunderstorm!" Naruto proclaimed while looking down.
"You have a parachute and it's not that far." Tsuru said before getting on the railing and beginning to line walk across. "I'll do us both a favor and go across myself."
"I swear girls are more daredevils then boys are! Sure be my guest." Naruto said staying back until he could hear some soldiers coming down most likely coming to stop them. Not wanting to fight them in a closed space and in high altitude Naruto did a quick gulp. "Wait for me!" Naruto said getting on and began line walking too.
They both made it to the other side just as the soldiers came out and started shooting at them. Naruto took out his bo-staff and activated it's bullet shield. "I'll hold off these guys while you take care of the engine!"
"Sure!" Tsuru said going into the engine room and seen the many panels and switches and honestly she was not an engineer in any regard so the quickest way to her was to just take out her short sword and start destroying everything slashing up every thing that seemed important until an alarm could be heard indicating it was working. "That should do it."
She then went back outside to see Naruto still using his shield to defend and them from the soldiers which one now more of them piling up. "I did it! Any minute now this blimp will start falling from the sky!"
"Then it's time to get out of Dodge!" Naruto said as he and Tsuru jump overboard to the surprise of the soldiers until they noticed the smoke coming from the engine room and began to panic running back inside.
The two apprentices were falling until they pulled their switches and out came there parachutes. "I know there's no real reason to be worried but I feel bad about just leaving Ryu up there."
"He'll be fine, he wouldn't have suggested this plan if there was no way for him to get out of it." Tsuru reassured. "But aside from that aren't you worried about what your godmother is going to say when she finds out that we crashed one of her airships?"
"She's rich and has like dozens of these, in fact she gave us one of the small ones." Naruto said it before and ominous thought came to mind. "But I doubt that would stop her from collecting a favor from us and she's not shy about collecting debts that are owed to her." He finished as they continue to ascend down.
With Ryu
Ryu was still fighting The General using his speed to his advantage getting in close to strike before jumping away to avoid getting hit from a counter-attack and from a distance used it after images to avoid getting shot by the electrical blast.
Just then the Airship they were standing on began to shake confusing the general but Ryu knew what this meant. "It looks like this bird won't be able to stay in the air for much longer meaning I should start finishing up myself. The last the move will end it." Ryu said reading his dragon sword.
"Arrrhhha! I don't know what you and your little friends have done but I do know that this last attack will be the end of you and there's no way you'll be able to talk at this time not with all this shaking!" General Dynamo said charging up his Canon to maximum as Ryu just stood there confusing him but not caring to think more of it. After he was finished charging he fired a very powerful electrical blast straight at Ryu.
While the general was charging his attack Ryu was preparing for his finishing move which was one of the many signature moves of the dragon sword. That he saw his father use one time when he was very young that repelled an army of ninja using Fireball Jutsu. "Now! Backlash Wave!" Ryu sad swinging his sword as a powerful wind like dust appeared and made contact with the blast and suddenly the attack was repelled right back at the general causing a massive explosion and the energy feedback from the wires that connected him to the Airship above them caused it to explode as well.
With both are ships now out of commission and about to crash to Earth Ryu quickly jumped off and activated his parachute unaware that someone else from the other airship also abandon Ship leaving all that were still in there to die.
Land of Fang, the capital of Vigoor Tairon.
As he got closer to the ground he could see from a distance the two airships Crashing Down creating a huge fire explosion from the distance as he landed on the outskirts of the capital city Tairon. "So this is Tairon. Now where did those two-"
"Now That's going to leave one huge mess and I do not envy the people who'll have to clean it up." Ryu turned to see it was Naruto who said that with Tsuru next to him.
"Next time if we ever do it infiltration mission let's stick to the non chaotic way. That seemed way too loud for me." Tsuru said.
Ryu from underneath his mask smiled at their comments but soon got serious. "Good work you two we've successfully infiltrated Vigoor. That's Phase 1 completed now it's time for Phase 2. Ayane, where do we go next?"
Before Naruto Tsuru ask Ayane suddenly appeared behind them. "You three need to head to Han's Bar. Its a well-known Watering Hole of information regarding what happens in Vigoor's criminal underworld, so if you're looking for information on Doku and the hidden Rock Village connection with Vigoor it'll most likely be there. Its at the centre of the city.
"Then that's where we're heading next. They have no idea we're here right now so let's take a breather then make our way Han's bar." Ryu said.
"Yes sir." both his apprentices said before they turned their attention to the purple haired kunoichi.
"Ayane, if you don't mind me asking, but how the hell did you get here, and how come we didn't take that route instead?!" Naruto asked wondering just how she got in Tairon so much easier than they did.
"Can't tell you otherwise I'm not doing this job so well." The purple haired girl said with a smirk. "You should also know that there are Soldiers patrolling the streets and also reports of A large group of intruders and sightings of a strange looking person walking around, so we may not be the only Uninvited guest here."
"Any idea who they might be?" Tsuru asked getting a no.
"Hmmm. If that's the case then I think we should split up and meet up at Han's Bar. Me and Tsuru will go east, Naruto and Ayane will go west. We'll investigate this other group while you two observed this strange person and find out what you can on them." Ryu explaining his plan getting a nod from everyone. "Good. Stay ready for anything we're in the lions den now."
"Yes sir!"
As Ryu and Tsuru were walking Tsuru began to speak. "Ryu, did you find out how it is they knew we were on the blimp?"
"No. But I doubt any of those soldiers would have known anything. Besides." Ryu Turn his head to the sky with screeching eyes. "I get the feeling that we're being watched. I don't know for sure but given what happened up there on the airship and what Ayane just told us, I don't think we're the only people who are after the Dark Dragon Blade and this place may end up becoming a war zone."
As they were discussing this Far off in the distance on top of a building a Mysterious person wearing a dark red cloak with some gold designs and a golden mask with a hat with golden lines was watching them. "Soon. The battle for the power dark dragon will begin."

Happy Holidays Everyone! glad I was able to get this out before for Christmas Eve. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas despite the circumstances of the year.
Next time our 2 groups of ninja will be Exploring the capital city of Tairon as they make their way to Han's Bar. Meanwhile Joe Hayabusa is Slowly but steadily making his way to the hidden rock village so that him and Onoki can have a little "talk".
