Ryuu hasn't gotten nearly enough sleep when he shows up at the examination hall in the palace. There are whispers as he walks into the room, and he feels stares latch onto him as he takes a seat. It's unpleasant, but all he knows is that if he passes he'll be able to learn more about the plants that fascinate him so much.

My submission for zenyukiweek2017! The prompt was Memories: so I wrote this little ditty! It was an idea sitting in my google docs for at least a year now and now it has finally seen the light! I hope you enjoy!

Obi's partner Ilena has been discovered to be the missing cousin of Zen. As a young girl she promised to support and protect him. As they work to uncover the rest of her secrets, she works hard to help Shirayuki become the princess she needs to be to be able to stand next to Zen, though they fight against the court of Wilant. Sequel to TMP Book 1. M for two late scenes.

"He said he'd be back before dawn," Mitsuhide slowly repeated for the—no, he'd lost count two or three times ago.

Obi is an assassin that has been very good at keeping himself distant from other people. Even after being severely wounded he'd rather handle that problem alone as well. A young woman named Nanaki later finds him unconscious and nurses him back to health. The events that happen next will change Obi's outlook on life and the people in it forever.

AU. Lightly based on the Disney movie Mulan. A hero should be proud and although you admire them for being strong, maybe they aren't so strong on the inside. She could handle the ridicule of being a woman who was a soldier. She could handle battles, duels, training soldiers, everything but those deep, golden eyes watching her every move as her superior.

AU. "Miss and I met when we were kids." She was too trusting, too beautiful. Too beautiful for him to resist getting to know her. But like Icarus, if you get too close to the sun, your wings melt and you fall back to reality. So he settled for howling for the moon - always wanting what was brightest for yourself, hoping that it will take away your darkness.
