My baby tries broccoli for the first time.
"Did you make this or did you buy it?'' Jin asked as he opened the jar.
Mi Sun turned away from the pot she was stirring and answered.''It's store bought. You know I can't stand broccoli.''
''I don't think Ji Yeon likes it either.'' Jin chuckled as Ji Yeon scrunched up her face and spit the green puree out.
Jin tried one more time to give her the baby food only for Ji Yeon to turn away and look at her mother.
''Why don't you try this?'' Jin suggested turning to his wife with spoon filled with green goop.
''I don't like broccoli in any form. I don't blame her for not liking it. It probably doesn't taste to good.'' Mi Sun said turning away from the stove and receiving a mouth full of baby food.
She quickly ran for the trash can and spit the offending pureed vegetable out.
''Why would you do that to me?'' Mi Sun asked wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
''You wanted her to eat it.'' Jin said pointing the spoon toward Ji Yeon, who at the sight of the spoon began to cry.
''You try it and see if you like it.'' Mi Sun said.
''I already like broccoli so I don't need to try it.'' Jin said getting up and throwing the jar in the trash.
''I don't blame you.'' Mi Sun said to Ji Yeon as she handed her a strawberry flavored rice snack.
Ji Yeon smiled and happily ate her snack as the rest of the family began eating dinner.
