The old couple: Julius and Miranda, and their two Pokémon: Minun and Plusie, were cleaning up the inside of their gas station trap after killing four of the captives.

Julius and Minun were mopping up the blood, while Miranda and Plusie were hiding the bodies in the back.

As Miranda dragged the bearded man's body in, she saw that he was wearing a wedding ring on his right hand, which seemed to bother her.

"What is it?" Julius asked, sensing his wife was uncomfortable.

"He's wearing a wedding ring," she answered.

"He's a monster," he said in response, "Honey, he probably uses the 'N' word, and not even in private. He probably uses it on Twitter. Those people suffered 400 years of bondage at the hands of that piece of shit's ancestors,"

"Those people?" Miranda asked, suspecting that Julius was being racist.

"Sorry, black people," Julius corrected, which didn't seem to make her feel any better.

"African Americans!" Miranda corrected, accurately this time, "Privilege, Julius!"

"It's perfectly fine to call them 'black' again," Julius insisted.

"According to who?" Miranda asked.

"NPR," he answered.

"Which consists almost exclusively of…" Miranda said, expecting him to finish the sentence for her.

"White people," Julius finished, which seemed to leave him dissatisfied, as did Minun and Plusie, "We're the worst,"

Just then, the radio kept underneath the counter started to emit static.

"Hello? Come in," a female voice said, which prompted Miranda to answer, "Are you there?"

"Hey! We're here!" Miranda answered, "We got four of them; Mollie, Clover, Moses, and Mr. Whymper,"

"Not just that, but the traps we set behind this place nailed Old Major and Benjamin," Julius added.

"Great!" the voice on the other end said, "Liberty got Boxer and Jessie, stuck them full of arrows and then blew them to pieces,"

"Alright, we shouldn't have much luck getting the remaining ones," Miranda said.

"Hopefully," the voice replied, "Squealer and the Cat are still outside the store, but Snowball and Bluebell are on their way. Are you gonna be ready, or do you need us to slow them down until the other two are taken care of?"

"I think we can move quickly," Miranda said.

"Okay, only one is armed, so good luck," the voice said, before the radio feed cut out.

The four hunters got behind the counter, as Randy and Sylveon entered the store, leaving their guns outside so the people inside wouldn't get the wrong idea.

"Can we help you?" Julius asked, using the fake accent again to get them to lower their suspicion.

"Yeah, we were wondering if you saw some people," Randy said, "Sylveon and I came here with a few others, the people we went with came into this store, and we haven't seen them come out,"

"Uhh… I'm not sure what you're talking about," Miranda said, also using the fake accent again.

"What I'm saying sounds weird, yeah, but it's true," Randy said.

"Well, whatever happened, we don't know how to help," she replied, before catching a glimpse of Sylveon grabbing a bottle of orange soda from the freezer, "Wait, that's poison!"

This caught the two partners off guard, and Randy started to grow a bit confused.

"What?!" he asked.

"There are 43 grams of sugar in that bottle," she said, not wanting to worry them too much.

"So? Sugar is actually healthy for Pokémon like her," he told her, surprising her.

"Is that true?" Julius asked.

"I read about it in a book explaining stuff about many types of Pokémon, such as their eating habits," Randy explained.

As the two went to pay for two bottles of soda, and 3 water bottles, Randy decided to ask where they were.

"So, I was wondering, where are we?" he asked.

Before Miranda could answer, the door swung open, and a Glaceon trotted into the store, along with her trainer.

They were the two captives who created the makeshift compass earlier when they woke up.

"Excuse me," the woman asked in a Southern accent, "But could I get a pack of lights, please?"

"Coming right up," Julius said, before reaching for a cigarette box, "You want gas too?"

"I don't have a car," the woman said.

"You walked here?" Randy asked, which earned him a nod from the woman.

She reached into her pocket to grab her wallet, but noticed that it wasn't there, so she reached into her sock, and pulled out a bill, which she put on the counter.

"I lost my wallet," she said, "It's for emergencies,"

"Okay, I think we should get back on track here," Randy said, wanting to know where he, Sylveon, and these two mysterious visitors were, "Where are we?"

"I want to know too," the woman said, "What state is this?"

"What?" Julius asked, not expecting her to get curious.

"You don't understand the question?" the woman asked.

"No, I did," Julius said, 'It's just, most people would easily know where they are,"

"Well, we're not most people," Randy said, as Miranda handed the woman some change after she paid for her cigarettes.

"Well, just so you know, you're in the glorious state of Arkansas," Miranda said, as Minun and Plusie slowly started to reach for the gas grenades and masks.

However, the woman started to grow suspicious of what Miranda said, and after taking a glance at her change, she gave Glaceon a nod, and before the two little Electric types could grab the weapons, Miranda had her head banged against the counter by the woman.

Glaceon got behind the counter and tore Minun and Plusie's throats out with her teeth, and her trainer followed suit, grabbing the shotgun and shooting Julius with it, then knocking Miranda to the floor as Randy and Sylveon watched in horror.

"Cigarettes in Arkansas only cost 6 bucks," the woman told Miranda, "You fucked up, bitch!"

Miranda had her head blown off after this, and as Crystal looked back at the door, Randy and Sylveon were already freaked out.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Randy asked.

"That woman lied about us being in Arkansas," the woman told him, "If this was Arkansas, I would've been charged 6 bucks for these cigars,"

"How does that justify killing those four?!" he asked, as Glaceon sniffed out the backroom, where the corpses of the bearded man, Big Red, Braixen, and Vanilla Nice were in.

"I think Glaceon just found your answer," the woman said.

Randy and Sylveon looked into the room, and once they saw the dead bodies, they were shocked to learn that those seemingly friendly people weren't so nice at all.

"Wow… I had no idea," Randy said, as Sylveon backed up towards him, scared at what she was seeing.

"Well on the bright side, we're okay," the woman said.

"Perhaps we should team up?" Randy asked.

"Sure thing," the woman said, shaking his hand, "I'm Crystal,"

"I'm Randy," he greeted, as Sylveon and Glaceon greeted each other.

The four prepared to leave; Randy and Sylveon took some soda and water, while Crystal and Glaceon took the shotgun, and some extra shells.

Crystal also tied her hair back in a ponytail, and took off her jacket, revealing her blue sweatshirt, before taking the radio, and leaving the store with the others.

The quartet left the store, and as they walked away they noticed a car parked nearby.

"There's our way out!" Randy said, approaching the car with the others, "We can just hop in, and we'll be able to leave!"

"Yeah, leave the land of the living, if that's what you mean," Crystal said, seeing something underneath the car, "Look down,"

Randy stooped down and looked underneath the car with Sylveon and Glaceon, allowing them to see a tripwire connecting the door to the driver's side to a block of C4 explosive underneath the car.

If anyone tried to get in, the explosive would go off, killing them.

"Woah, how did you know that?" Randy asked.

"Let's just say I have a keen eye for details," Crystal said, before noticing Sylveon looking at the license plate with a confused look on her face.

"What is it, Sylveon?" Randy asked, looking at the license plate, and seeing that it looked loose.

"That license plate doesn't look very real to me," Crystal said, taking it off the back of the car.

That revealed what looked like a thin, longer looking license plate with black, painted on numbers instead of steel ones.

"Woah, that's an odd looking license plate," Randy said.

"Well, many countries in Europe have them made like this," Crystal said, surprising him and Sylveon.

"Europe?" Randy asked in shock, "Are you saying that we're not even in America anymore?"

"Doesn't look like it," Crystal said, just before the radio, which Crystal took with her, started to emit static again.

"Hello?" a male voice asked.

"Julius? Miranda? Are you there?" a female voice asked afterwards.

The group kept silent so whoever was on the line wouldn't know what went down in the store.

"Richard, are you on?" the female voice asked.

"Affirmative, I'm here," the male voice said.

"This is Liberty," the female voice said, "Roserade and I can't find Orwell,"

"Which one's Orwell?" The voice identified as Richard asked as Randy, Sylveon, Crystal, and Glaceon ducked behind some bushes to keep watch for the hunters.

"Orwell's the Togepi," Liberty answered.

"You named the fucking Togepi?" Richard asked.

"That's beside the point," Liberty said, "Did anyone see Snowball and Bluebell go in while Squealer and the Cat were in there?"

"No, we lost visual at the road," Richard said, "I'm sending a drone out to look for them,"

And like that, a drone came into view, flying towards the gas station without seeing the four captive hiding in the bushes.

The drone zoomed right up to the windows and aimed its camera inside, looking for Julius, Miranda, Minun, and Plusie.

"I'm not seeing anyone inside," Richard said, "I guess I should check around the back,"

Before the drone could fly to the back, however, a huge flame came flying out of nowhere and destroyed it, sending it crashing to the ground.

"Richard? What happened?" Liberty asked.

"I'm not sure, I lost contact with the drone," Richard said.

"Turn your radio off and get over there," she said.

"Roger that," he said, before the radio shut off.

The source of the flames that destroyed the drone; a Flareon, came out of hiding as his trainer, a bearded man with a red, white, and back striped shirt, and black pants, showed up with a sniper rifle, and stomped the flames out.

The two started to make their way towards the car, and Crystal, desperate to stop them from blowing up, whistled to them, making them get defensive.

The man aimed his gun at the bush, and ordered the four to come out.

"Sir, put the gun down," Randy said as he came out of the bushes with his comrades, "We're victims of this hunt as well,"

"How do I know that?" the man asked, still feeling suspicious.

"Why don't you pull that door handle?" Crystal asked, referring to the car, "Then you'll blow up, then you'll know,"

Flareon looked underneath the car, and noticed the CR explosive connected to the car, which his trainer also noticed.

"Woah, we could've died," the man said, "Thanks,"

"No problem," Randy said.

"Your Flareon should not have incinerated that drone," Crystal suddenly told the man.

"But now they can't see us," the man said.

"They didn't need to," Randy said, "There was a hunter looking through it when it was destroyed, and it might not have seen us, but now the hunters know were here,"

Randy, Sylveon, Crystal, and Glaceon started to walk away, as the man and Flareon followed them.

"Where are you going?" the man asked.

"I saw some tracks earlier," Crystal said, "We're gonna follow them,"

"Whose tracks?" the man asked.

"Beats me," Randy said, "Come on!"

The six captives started to make their way back down the road, looking for a way to escape.
