Chapter 8

Ancient Egypt Village

As the days passed Lily was finding it harder and harder missing her dad and sister but she knew that one day that she would get back to her own time but in the meantime, she would live her life.

And she also had to find out why she kept feeling a dark aura around her when she would go out into the city to gather a few things for the high priestess who was also a healer in the palace and had asked Lily to pick up a few things from the stalls in the town.

Lily was on her way back to the palace when she sensed the dark magic that she had felt before when she had been close to the edge of the village.

Once she was back in the garden of the palace she made her way back inside and then made her way to the healing room where Isis was working as she was also the healer of the palace.

It took Lily about 15 minutes to get to the healer room where she knew Isis was going to be.

"Morning Isis I have those items that you were needing from the village market where would you like me to put them," Lily asked as she entered the healing room.

"Just put them over on the table to your right Lily and thank you for doing this for me"

"It's no bother Isis I didn't mind doing it while I was in town for a few things anyway," Lily said as she walked over to the table that Isis had pointed to that was on the right-hand side of her just as you entered the room.

A few weeks had passed since Lily helped Isis get the herbs that she had needed for the healing room and now she was sitting in the guarding of the palace with the notebook that she had on her when she had come to the past and she has been writing in it almost every day.

But today was a hard day for her as this was the day of her younger sister's mother and her step mother's burial and she wasn't sad that she was missing it but she was sad that her sister and father had to do it on their own while she was here in Ancient Egypt working on getting back to them both.

As she was sitting writing she never noticed the two princes come up behind her and she was too busy writing her thoughts down it was only when she had two hands covering her eyes and a vice that she knew so well by now saying "guest who"

"Ah, Atemu do you want to give me a heart attack?" Lily said as she put her hand to her chest where her heart was while also looking at Atemu.

"Lily what are you doing here you don't normally come to the palace until later on in the day," Atemu asked as he sat down next to her "what's wrong Lily you haven't been your normal happy self for the last few days is everything okay"

"I've just had a few things on my mind is all," Lily said as she put away the notebook that she had with her before turning to look out to the middle of the garden "anyway Atemu what are you doing out here shouldn't you be with your brother in you're magic lessons or with your father in the throne room for another meeting," Lily said as she stared out at the garden thinking of her own dad and sister and wondering how they were getting on without her.

"No I don't have any classes today or any meetings I was actually looking for you anyway my mother would like to speak with you," Atemu said as he looked at Lily

"Oh, what could she want to talk to me about well we best go and see her where can I find her Atemu," Lily asked as she stood from where she was sitting on the garden bench with Atemu and started to make her way towards the palace with Atemu walking next to her as they both made their way into the palace. As they were walking along the hallway that leads to Atemu and Alexander's mother's study so that Lily could find out why the Queen would want to talk to her.

But as they got closer to the office Lily started to feel strange as if something was wrong so she quicked her steps and made them loud enough that it would get the attention of the guards on the same hallway or the guards who should have been on the same hallway.

"Lily wait up what's the rush my mother will still be there so we can take our time"

"no Atemu I don't think we can something doesn't feel right and I've felt like this since we got to this hallway now come on," Lily said as she walked a bit further down the hallway to the Queen's study to see if everything was okay with her.

Just as they got to the door Lily noticed that the door was open a small bit and she turned to Atemu "Atemu does your mother ever leave the door open when she is in her office" Lily asked as she looked at Atemu and then at the door which Atemu had just noticed as well "No never she always has the door closed when she is in her study as she doesn't want Alex or me to disturb her when she is working" Atemu said as he went to open the door but was stopped by Lily.

"Atemu wait let me go first you don't know if anyone else is on the other side of the door," Lily said as she pulled Atemu back from the door and moved towards the door of the Queen's study "My Queen is everything okay Atemu and I are going to come in," Lily said as she knocked and opened the door a bit more and then walked into the study with Atemu just behind her "oh my Ra Atemu go and find some guards and the Pharaoh along with Isis and bring them here as it looks like a storm has gone off in here". Lily said as she moved around the study and lifting papers up off of the floor.

"Lily what is it why do I have to get Isis, the guards and my father," Atemu asked as he pushed his way into the study so that he was not standing behind Lily who was in shock with what had happened to the room.

"Oh my, I'll go and get the guards, my father and Isis and then we can go and find my mother because I know she was meant to be in here today and she may have gotten out when this happened or she may not have been in the study when it happened," Atemu said as he made his way back to the door so that he could go and look for his father and Isis who he knew was in the healing room and also find a few guards.

A couple of hours later the pharaoh, the two princes, a few guards and Lily had looked in most of the palace looking for the queen and they found her in the side room of her office and she didn't seem to be hurt "Tamra are you hurt why were you in the side room" asked the pharaoh as he looked at his wife and Queen.

"I was getting a few things out of there as I had to speak with young Lily here about that surprise next month you know that surprise that we are doing for the two boys," the queen said as she walked over to her son, husband and lily and showed him what she had brought out of the side room of her study.
