Let's begin!

Sun is high rise, it's midday, halfway through finals season then graduation will start afterwards. High on caffeine and inhaling lunch in the library, hoping that studying before the last class will do them all justice. In Central City University, every student dreads finals season, it's a chance where all Professors take advantage of the students' lives and drown them in work right before those final exams hit. A sudden alarm rings, blaring into the earbuds of a particular student, startling her from her last minutes of studying before their final class of the day. (Y/n) quickly presses the dismiss button on the phone and gathers their items before leaving. Reading one last text message saying "See you after class!" .

*One Brutal Final Exam Later*

-(Y/n) point of View-

"Phew! Finally, We're done" I breathe out in relief.

" I know, right! Our last Semester comes to an end. We made it, although it feels bittersweet" (F/n) replies.

(F/F/n), a long time friend and roommate. Although we both have different majors, and interests, our friendship has grown throughout the years we have been living together. In the beginning, both of us never thought we'd become close friends that would go through the good and bad times. Hell, during our last semester celebration party with our drunk classmates, we even made a crisis plan called Plan B, which was created when we both agreed that if we would ever drop out of university or get into a financial crisis, we'd become strippers to pay it off. That was one hell of a night.

(F/F/n) and I walked to a new café shop, not far from our apartment complex to treat ourselves after an exhausting final season.

"You're lucky that I lost that bet yesterday, or else your budget would have gone out for the month and Plan B would have to come into play" I say.

"Plan B is a crisis resort (Y/n), this isn't a crisis plus, you should've taken my offer, now suffer the consequences. Your guesses are spot on, but your negotiation skills suck deeply." (F/n) replies with a grin.

I frown a bit, remembering how I lost the bet due to an intense, 3 hour game of Uno.

They had one card left, and me with 2 cards. (F/n) had already placed her green 7 card down, the one card I got to see from a previous swap cards move, my move was a wild card to change the color to win, but what color? What if the color I choose is in their hand? What if it isn't? I contemplate it for a good 2 minutes.

"You're taking too long (Y/n)," they taunt, "...okay, I'll make you a bet, you guess what color card I have in my hand and if you guess it right, you win. Winner plays for our drinks at the new café that just opened, choice is yours."

"Hmmm, tempting, but it's a 1/4 chance I'm correct. It's that or a 3/4th chance that I choose the color that's not in your hand. Giving it a 50/50 percent that one of those two offers, I will win" I rambled on, "Okay, no deal and I choose green!" I look at their facial reactions and I frown. "SON OF A -"

They smirks and places their green card in the pile. (F/n) wins.

After I pay for our drinks and wait to get them, we go sit on the rooftop patio, the scenic view of the city relaxes our drained minds. We talked about our upcoming graduation ceremony and our plans for the weekend.

"So, What are your plans now that we are officially Graduate Students?" I ask.

"Girl, give me a break! I'm fried outta my mind right now. I don't need to hear the reality that we are about to go back to!" They exclaim. "You can start talking to me about life after our Graduation ceremony."

"Okay, fair enough."

"Instead, let me tell you how that one night stand scandal ended with Kristine and Andrew"

"No way, so was it true? Did he end up getting a restraining order from her?"

(F/n) firmly nods. "It was ridiculous, she was warned of his bad temper and habits. Even after a few years, the vibe of that relationship oozed toxicity."

"That's insane, I get that he tried but they say habits take a good amount of time to break. Guess it wasn't enough." I shrug.

"Very true indeed. On a side note, I am going to The S. . Labs ceremony for activating their particle accelerator, wanna come with me?" they ask, obviously having an underlying motive since we both know of an alumni that works specifically for that Lab.

"I'm not sure.. It's not really my thing..." Trying not to sound so interested in the event.

"Okay, that has to be the biggest lie you have ever given me!" (F/n) calls out my BS instantly. "You're the second biggest science nerd and a good one too. I know for sure that you've been eager to see their recent project. Your desk is filled with articles about it. You're just overthinking how you will be when we see Cisco again!"

"WHAT?!"
