-(Y/n) Point of View-

"WHAT?!"

I flinch at the truth they spats out. Their accusations are spot on, which are scarily impressive, but the truth hurts.

Cisco Ramon, amazing mechanical engineer, also a dear friend to both (F/n) and I, who went underappreciated by his family, as he shared with us, but his determination to reach his goals, he got an offer by S.T.A.R. Labs by the Doctor Harrison Wells. Truly an amazing journey that he went through and is still going. I have great admiration for him and I want to do the same with my own career, whatever it may be. When he was still in college, we'd hangout on a few occasions. I'd love to hear his projects in progress, while his personality would shine through despite what he has shouldered. Although, it was sad to see him leave is in this demented campus but I was happy that he made it. The last time I got to hear and see him was in the afternoon (F/n) and I went to celebrate his graduation.

I sigh, breaking my mind from remembering him.

"Alright, I'll join you for the event, but I make no promises if it becomes awkward, so don't go overboard with the 'College reunion'" I replied.

"It's settled then," they smile, excited to see him again. "It won't be a full-blown reunion, we are there for you to let you geek out at the particle accelerator." My cheeks flush from embarrassment.

~~~Time Skip; One Month before the event;~~~
Pain, Sore Pain is all I felt. My body aches from a long graduation morning. I exited the campus with my head held high and my degree in hand. I met up with (F/n) by the exit. We congratulated each other on surviving about an hour and a half of sitting for our names to be called to get our diplomas.
"This still feels bittersweet. We spent years for this, But now what?" (F/n) says with a smile.
"Yeah, no kidding. We're still roommates so I guess I'll start applying to a full time job and we work our way from there."
"Alright then, now! Let's head home and go out for lunch!" She beams.
"Lead the way " I raise a brow, concerned about the place they'll pick.
As I followed her route from our place to a bakery that many colleagues have recommended for brunch, the thought of a huge misunderstanding from two years ago came back. I dwell on the memories that caused Cisco's and I's friendship to become awkward. (F/n) notices and breaks my train of thought.
"I hope you know that he does care about that," They began to say, "I wasn't gonna say anything but *sighs* I had contacted him a few days ago. He does remember us and is more than happy to see us at the event."
"(F/n), it's not that easy t-though, h-how can anyone go on with what happened?" Damn stutter, I frown recalling it as if it were yesterday.
~2ND year, Spring semester~
"Oh?~ What's this? Did the young (y/n) just admit a crush?!" an upper classmate blurts out to our group. Angered and embarrassed by her actions, my head lowers not wanting to look at his face. The rest of our group turns to face me.
"N-n-n-no, it's not l-l-like that!" I defended myself, biting the inside of my cheek, my patience ran thin, this kept going on for the past 2 weeks. Why couldn't she just drop it! It's none of her business
"Awww~ Come on (Y/n)! If you want~ I will help you with your confession, here let me call him real quick, his study group is in the next study room next to ours, right?" She gets up and walks to the door. That's it!
"Hey! Cisco! Come he-" I interrupt her.
"ENOUGH! I've told you to quit getting into my business and my patience with you has run thin! Whatever is between him and I, has nothing to do with you," the adrenaline had pumped my blood as she smirks, "What gives you the audacity to 'help me' confess, when I have made it clear that I won't!" Just as if the timing was on point, Cisco comes by the door frame.
"Yo! Ya boy is here! Is it a bad time to ask?" He questions. Shocked by his presence as he saw the situation unfold, I choked on my words, unable to answer quickly enough and the female classmate answered him. She looks my way with a malicious grin.
"Well you see, your pupil here made it clear to EVERYONE, that she has no intentions of being true to her emotions and it's why I called you here, to explain to her that it's okay to not like you," My eyes widen at this, That's completely fucked up!
"Oh.." Cisco face saddened to hear this and turns to me. "Is this true, (Y/n)?"
"..." I snapped out of my trance "NO! It's n-not like t-that at ALL! I -I - Forget it, I'm leaving." My face flushes in rage and embarrassment, I quickly grab my belongings and storm out of the study room too overwhelmed and in rage with how it turned out. If I didn't get out of there in the next minute, I would've beat the living hell outta her, that holy water wouldn't be able to cure it.
Regardless of how it ended that day, the rumors of what happened spread through both of our classes until another rumor had caught the interest of the grapevine. (F/n) was there to help me clear up the truth but I couldn't bring myself to face Cisco to tell him the truth. Although we still hung out as a trio from time to time, it would end up being awkward when (F/n) would leave us for a bit.
"It's called moving on (Y/n), you can't let that one moment define the rest of yourself. The more you dwell on it, the more you will be defined by it." (F/n) states.
"I just don't want to remind him of that time." I replied.
"I highly doubt that, we're adults beginning through our twenties. I suggest within time, to talk to him once again and you will see. But do whatever floats your boat, you won't know until you try."
I ponder my friend's advice, and (F/n)'s correct. I do dwell on this one too many times. Cisco had helped me through my first two years, while he also had to shoulder what he had going on. I lost contact with him due to a stupid misunderstanding, and I must have hurt him. Damn it!
-3rd P.O.V-
As the friends ordered and enjoyed their brunch over the conversation. (Y/n) kept contemplating on whether to take the advice and move on or stay silent. In the end, walking back home, the (h/c) haired adult made up their mind to at least try. There's a saying that actions say more than just plain words.
