~~~Recap~~~
"(F/n)'s gone, Arghh why!" (Y/n) cries out, knowing very well that a headache will end up pounding later.
Cisco lets a few soft sobs out, feeling worse than a month ago since the incident. Remembering that night, not only hurting those people and sending them to the hospital but also losing a member of his team. Cisco sniffs as he continues to comfort his sobbing friend, hoping to help at least one of them.
"Don't worry...We'll get through this." He reassures.
-3rd P.O.V.-
~~~Central City Cemetery~~~
A warm, sunny day is overshadowed by a fiberglass casket being lowered into the soft ground. (F/n)'s relatives comfort the sobbing mother and the silent father whom holds his dear wife with his arm around her shaking shoulders. Once seeing their once full of life child, now brought to eternal rest. (Y/n) and Cisco, dressed in black for the depression occasion, observe in silence, mourning the loss of a cheerful friend. The same empty feeling that overwhelmed the two at the hospital, spread through all of the (F/L/N) family.
Some time past since (F/n)'s death, aside from breaking the news to (F/n)'s parents and helping with the funeral planning, (Y/n) had taken Cisco's offer to go through a series of test as research for her strange scars glowing incident. It wasn't until recently that S.T.A.R Labs was announced to be shut down. Still no explanation or idea for why the scars glow, yet the two friends agreed to continue before the Lab closes.
"It still doesn't make sense. From an outside point of view, I practically killed..." (Y/n) whispers to Cisco.
"You didn't. The timing of that was too much of a coincidence. It's not like a lightning struck (F/n) through the window and short circuited the monitors. Your vitals are normal and we are still waiting for the test results. Stop by the lab's warehouse, Caitlin and I are checking through inventory but the results should be done before the end of the day."
"Alright, it's just pretty hard to believe. On a side note, I...uhh will be moving from Central City soon."
"I'm sorry, what? You are?" The long haired male's expression turn sad.
"Before anymore misunderstandings, No. I am not running away like before," (Y/n) rubs the back of her neck. " It's gotten difficult to continue living here when it's just one of us... and working at the night club with Nick doesn't cover everything."
"Where are you moving out to then?"
"Gotham City, heh."
Cisco mouths an "O" before taking a moment to process everything. "What about your testing and physical therapy sessions?"
"About that, I would be able to make the trip each month if everything goes well. If not then, I can keep track of my stats and send it to you via email. You see, there's also an internship that could help me out and if it goes well, then I can move back here."
Cisco sighs in relief. The young male didn't want another friend going away because of his misfortunes. Losing two dear comrades at once, was an unexpected farewell he did not expect.
The two friends bid their farewells to (F/n)'s parents and to their deceased friend, promising to continue moving forward and not forget to come back to visit once in a while. Cisco and (Y/n), both know it won't be easy but getting through a tragedy with those you cared about, makes the burden a tad bit lighter.
On their way home, (Y/n) reassures Cisco that she'll come back. The attempts to cheer Cisco up, worked through who knows how many puns and jokes, as a result the boy smiles. Both friends part ways as they get closer to (Y/n)'s place, leaving the pensive female with many thoughts and unanswered questions. Even if that doctor had confirmed (F/n)'s death by severe burns, it doesn't justify (F/n)'s body flinching. And another thing, unlike (F/n)'s body, (Y/n)'s body had healed at a quicker pace, plus her scars emitting heat. It's a huge, confusing, unsolved mystery. If one thing was clear, (Y/n) was not human, right?
-Starling City, S.T.A.R. Labs Warehouse-
Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon, packing equipment into cardboard boxes and counting the listed inventory in the room. The gloomy lit mood was cut short when a familiar female face enters the warehouse room.
"Hey guys, made it!" (Y/n) says.
"Hey Girl, Welcome back to the lair!" Cisco cheerfully greets.
"(Y/n), it's so good to see you again," Caitlin goes up to the woman, greeting her with a hug. "Don't mind the mess, we're almost done here."
"No worries, I can help moving the boxes from the front, in," the (h/c) haired female offers.
"Nah, don't worry about it. You're here now and the results are in." Caitlin denies the offer.
"Cool, I hope I'm not the mother," (Y/n) jokes.
The two scientists pause in their tracks, shooting each other a confused look.
"What?" A very confused Caitlin responds first.
Cisco shakes his head in disappointment at the failed reference to The Maury show, "Let's leave the jokes to me."
(Y/n) smile, embarrassed heavily making her cheeks flush. " aha... right. Anyways the test?" quickly changing topics, she rubs the back of her neck, slightly feeling a small static shock.
"Right, Your blood test were completely normal, as if nothing was damaged or harmed. Urine test came out the same."
"That's good, right?"
"Yes and no, remember you went through an explosion, no person would have a high chance of surviving electrocution and fallen debris like that. Your scars are Lichtenberg figures, which show the path the electricity took through your body. The figures are a result of blood vessels bursting from the electric discharge and heat. What is even more surprising is that the blast didn't rupture your eardrums or left you in a paralyzed state. And you recovered much quicker than the injured people that were at S.T.A.R. Labs. I'll keep testing your samples but since I only brought these results, it might take a while for the rest."
"That's okay Caitlin, you both have done a lot already, I can't thank you enough. Let me know if you need more blood samples from me."
"We're trying to make up for what happened that night, this is only the start."
The two coworkers inform the (h/l),(h/c) -haired female that a patient was transferred to S.T.A.R. Labs to test his vitals out. It was said by Dr. Wells, to be a good chance to compare both tests.
