With a middle schooler and a high schooler, Tony and Angela are at a loss knowing their children are growing up.

Because of this, Angela's comment to the principal of the middle school causes both adults to wonder if there will ever be another child in their future. She knows they both want one, but are also very aware of how it will look. Talking to Tony about it one night when the kids are at the movies and Mona is on a date, Angela remarks, "I'm not getting any younger."

"What about the PTA and the Fairfield gossips?" Tony asks knowing how much their having a baby would hurt Angela's reputation in the community. Shaking her head, Angela answers, "I wish this were easier. Maybe we should have done this the right way."

"Date and let everyone know? Please, Angela? Where's the fun in that?" Tony teases earning an eye roll from his wife who replies, "What if I just stopped my birth control and let nature take it's course?"

Eyes going wide for just a moment thinking about his past, Tony remarks, "That's one of the reasons Marie and I got married so young. We originally wanted to wait until I established my career."

"Well, what do you suggest?"

"I say, we tell Jonathan, pretend to date for a while, and then you do what it is that you suggested."

Mulling over the idea, Angela agrees realizing it is the most logical choice. Deciding to tell Jonathan about their relationship over dinner the next day, Angela and Tony make sure to take Sam aside and explain to her their plan. Snorting a laugh, Sam remarks, "Your funeral."

Glancing at each other, the couple takes a deep breath before asking Jonathan to meet them in the kitchen. Taking the seat across from them, Jonathan can tell this is something serious. With an encouraging smile, Angela begins their conversation.

"Jonathan, Tony and I want to talk to you about something."

Immediately on the defensive, the boy replies, "I didn't do it!"

"Do what?" Tony asks hoping to catch him in something. Rolling her eyes at her husband, Angela looks at her son stating, "It's nothing you've done. It's um actually something Tony and I have done."

Eyes narrowing just a little, Jonathan looks between the adults and assumes they sign him up for something he does not want to do. What they tell him, however, floors him.

"Jonathan," Angela begins, "Tony and I are in a relationship."

Silence. There is a glance shared between the adults before Tony says the boy's name.

"You're dating?" Jonathan asks trying to comprehend the news. Tony nods as Angela answers, "We are. We thought since you're older that you deserve to know."

"How long have you been dating?" Jonathan asks.

"About a year," Tony answers. Surprise shows plainly on the boy's face as hears the news. After a moment, he asks, "Do Sam and Grandma know?"

The adults nod as Angela quickly remarks, "But you're the first one we've told!"

Cocking his head to the side, Jonathan waits for the couple to explains, "Mother guessed and Sam found out by accident."

Tony and Angela are a little surprised when Jonathan asks to be excused once they finish telling him the news. Glancing at each other, the couple wonders what they did wrong. Knowing what the boy is going through, Sam offers to talk to him.

Heading upstairs, Sam knocks on Jonathan's door. When Jonathan refuses to answers, Sam knocks and says, "Hey, Barf Bag let me in."

"Go away!"

"No," She answers. After a moment Sam whines, "Just let me in? I told Dad and Angela I'd talk to you."

Opening the door just a little bit, Jonathan studies the teenager's face before letting her in his room. Arms crossed, Jonathan stares at Sam angrily before she admits, "This isn't an blast for me either. Do you know how much this is going to suck when they tell everyone? We're going to be the laughing stock of the school!"

"I thought you always wanted them together?" Jonathan asks.

"I did, but now it's real," Sam admits eager to see them happy, but worrying about what it will do to the gossip mill at school.

The first week their parents officially decide to date openly, no one notices. By the second week, the entire community starts talking after one of the town gossips notices Tony and Angela holding hands outside a restaurant. Then the rumors start. Neither Sam nor Jonathan are aware of anything directed at them at first. A few strange looks, but no questions. Jonathan never notices at all until a kid in school asks him how much Tony is paid to sleep with his mother. That night he tells Sam about the comment, but both children agree to keep the comments they hear to themselves. Neither wants their parent to be unhappy. What amazes Sam most is the rumors that circulate based on the two dates Tony and Angela have. She honestly thinks they are the most boring dating couple alive. Most of the time the couple stays home and watches a movie and eats popcorn or dances in the living room. She hopes the gossip mill finds a new person to talk about especially when she hears someone remark about Angela being pregnant. Although Sam is fully aware that Angela is not pregnant, the thought nags at her for a week until she decides to ask. Sitting next to Angela that Friday as the woman goes over a campaign for work, Sam smiles softly when Angela tells her, "Hello Sweetheart. What is it?"

Shrugging, Sam answers that she just wants to hang out with her. Laughing a little, Angela answers, "I'm sorry I'm not much fun tonight. But you're welcome to sit here and help me come up with a couple slogans."

"Yeah?" The teen asks just as Tony comes into the room handing Angela a glass of wine. Happily, Angela takes the glass from her husband before he heads downstairs to grab the laundry basket. Once her father leaves, Sam watches Angela work for a while until Angela asks, "Is everything okay?"

She can tell the teen has been wanting to ask her something, but has been trying to wait for her to ask on her own.

"You're not pregnant are you?" Sam asks after a moment causing Angela to nearly spit out her wine. Chokingly, Angela asks, "What? No! Trust me, I would not be drinking this if I were."

"Wouldn't be drinking what?" Tony asks holding a basket of laundry to fold.

"Nothing," Sam remarks embarrassed just as Angela explains, "I think there are rumors going around about us at the kids' school."

Surprise colors Sam's face as she watches Angela stand up and call Jonathan downstairs. With both children downstairs, Tony and Angela set them down and ask them about all the rumors that are being said about them. Reluctantly the kids explain various things being said causing their parents to ask, "Would it be easier if we kept this relationship at home and didn't go out for a while?"

Sam and Jonathan share a look before asking if they will. Knowing how much this affects their children, the adults agree simply happy to at least be able to openly display their relationship in front of their children.
