"I see that Joy is a burden to you, perhaps she could come to my hive to help with the interactions with my children, to teach them tolerance and comfort of other cultures, hmm?" Ianto said calmly.
"When I saw another girl I wanted to abandon her too, but she was not mine to reject" the slappy one said, the glare from her sister telling Ianto whose child this was still clinging to him.
"So, maybe this is a worthy compromise. Maybe with less daughters in the Hive you will have better ovulation and produce a male?" Ianto shrugged "Is it not so that a large amount of females might mean less eggs? More females?"
"You have two boys" Sophia blurted.
"Yes, human ones though. Still not the same as superior Forhitian children, best for such a strong Hive" Ianto said softly "Seriously Sophia, do you not think maybe you are the burden here too? I do not mean to be harsh but these lovely women are doing their best but to share their husband with a sister-wife that cannot provide is… selfish of you."
She widened her eyes as he openly insulted her.
"So… here is what I propose My Hive is large, I have many females in it and many children to imbibe another one without any problem. If these two are ones that are taking up resources and maybe lessening the promise of a male heir, maybe I can take them and relive that. I cannot give you a son I am afraid… only human… but I would like to make it up to you for this inferior bond. My family was remiss in agreeing to it, I should have been more stern with my little sister. She was spoilt."
"So… I will take the two girls… and her?"
"I think that is best. Also, I know the fertility God you prey to, I will prey to him as well and make him offerings in your name. As neighbours our children may be friends and you may live in a prosperous peace" Ianto said in their tongue and they looked at one another with glee. Clearly they wanted rid of Sophia.
"He will not allow it" one finally said to her sister with a huff.
"I am her brother, I am her Alpha in the bloodline here and present and as there are no offspring we can break the bonding. This is clearly not prosperous for you. I so declare!" Ianto did not look at his sister who had slowly backed away from everyone and as he finished speaking she ran for her chambers where she wanted to pack quickly before the Husband returned to find out she was no longer there.
"As First Wife I reject her!" one of the women said.
"As Second Wife I agree" the other nodded, "We speak for our sister, all three of us declare a rejection of bonding!"
"And it is so" Ianto nodded, seeing his sister flick past the doorway with bags in her hands, a Forhitian guard racing after her with more, his movements almost frantic.
By the time Ianto got to the hover not only was his sister belted in along with the little girl, so was the Forhitian male. They all seemed settled and he sighed, handing over the baby Forhitian while he clicked in his daughter and turned to accept the paperwork that the sister-wives had pushed through in their husband's office, their printer clearly just finished spitting out the pages as they were still warm, the signatures of the women on it.
"Quickly, before he comes back" one hissed "Take them. Let the Hive be cleansed."
"An may your eggs be plentiful" Ianto replied as he fired up the Hover and drove out of there, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew this could go badly and even with the paperwork signed, sealed and officially delivered to his hand as well as lodged with the Government department that had sent back a compliance number, he was alarmed by the suddenness of this, with his baby in the vehicle, he needed to be home.
Safe.
He drove up in the garage and hit the buttons, the lifters engaging and by the time the doors were lowered, the house was raised so high that the fucker would have to request an audience, his Forhitian vessel unable to rise to the front doors.
Jack watched them enter and took in the little girl with a resigned roll of his eyes, then the little one in Sophia's arms.
"Is that…"
"Yah. A female so they were going to leave her outside to die" Ianto spat as he held up the papers "Paperwork"
Toshiko snatched it away to go over and lodge with their own legal firm. Ianto walked over to Jack "I am sorry, I could not leave those little girls behind, especially not… now. A baby starving… what am I to do Cariad?"
"The right thing" Jack said as he accepted the little one to look down at those reptilian features with interest.
Their young were actually quite… cute.
Jack was on board.
