And the next chapter and it still hurts me to see so few readers for this story of mine.
I put so much work and so much of my free time into translating this and yet hardly anyone seems to be interested in it.
That hurts me. Seriously, that hurts me a lot.

At least one person enjoys this story in earnest and I am grateful for that.
You know who you are ;)

Anyway, as for this person: Enjoy chapter 3
I had a lot of fun writing this one.

And please listen to this song on youtube and please, please, please listen to the version from the movie "Sing 2".
I think this version is even better than the original :)

It's soooooooooooooooo good. I listen to this song multiple times every day :D.

Thank you very much. I appreciate this a lot :D
And IKR? Venom still needs to learn a lot about humans and Eddie still needs to learn a lot about Venom's kind.
But both of them making progress after almost two years of bing bonded to each other :D
And I know what you mean, for I don't want this to happen myself when it comes to Eddie and Anne.
Even if I don't ship them myself, but Venom and Eddie have each other now and Anne got Dan.
It would destroy everything if Eddie and Anne would get back together. It just won't fit into the story anymore.
And I am also glad they changed Anne's story in the movie. In the comics, she killed herself O_o
Haha yeah, so far I only know one human who doesn't like chocolate at all and that was my ex-boss XD.
Seriously, how can you not like chocolate? If it wouldn't make you fat I would eat it every day XD
And V is such a tease and there is nothing to stop him from tesasing Eddie XD
And Venom knows that Eddie loves this, so he keeps doing it haha. He just knows which buttons he has to press;).
Awww and thank you for saying this, we appreciate this a lot :D
But to be honest? I think the movie makers read Fanfiction and look at Fanart.
The breakfast scene from Venom 2 is made of a fanart which came out right after the first Venom movie in 2018.
And sometimes I have the feeling they read my story in which Cletus got Carnage, because in my story, which I posted somewhere in early 2019, Venom bites Cletus to give him the Carnage Symbiote. In the movie it was the other way around, but still similar to what I wrote.
Same goes for the beach scene. I wrote a similar scene a few years ago (It calls a Day at the beach and you can find it in my one-shot collection).
It's actually creeping me out a bit to know that these guys seem to read fanfiction. And here I am, with tons of tickle Fanfictions on my account. I wanna die... XD

Thank you for the comment. At least one more person who reads this ;)
I am not doing well at all. And this won't change anytime soon.
Loosing your mother changes you and not to the better, but to the worst.
I have become ice cold...

As always: I would appreciate feedback in the form of a comment very much.
Not only is feedback very motivating, but it also shows me that my story gets read and is not ignored.
If I get the feeling my story gets ignored, I won't update it, for I see no reason to do so then.
So please don't be shy and share your thoughts with me. I won't bite you. I am open for ideas, but
can't promise you to write them. I would only try to add them, if I like them and if they fit into the story.

Chapter 3

The next day, Eddie and Venom were up early, as they wanted to run some last-minute errands before they set off to Dan's countryside house in the early morning.

The trunk of his borrowed car was already full of bags and the small suitcase that held his clothes and everything else he needed. He was just loading the bags, that he had received from Mrs. Chen the night before and in which there were all kinds of non-perishable food for the next few days. The letter, which Dan had written to him and which he had enclosed with his test results, had given the address of a delivery service and the nearest town where there should be a good restaurant, but Eddie just wanted to be on the safe side. He had also gotten some things for Venom and he was just loading the bag of chocolate bars, that he had also received from Mrs. Chen, into the trunk.

They had pretty much everything they would need for this week, except for some fresher groceries like bread and milk. Eddie wanted to get these quickly and then the journey should start.

Just thinking about it made his stomach tingle with excitement. Even if he hadn't let Anne know how excited he was, he could hardly hold it back now and Venom seemed to notice it too, because he just grinned broadly at him again and immediately pointed the smartphone at his face and filmed him.

Ever since that found-footage horror film thingy, he'd never stopped filming him and documenting whatever they were doing. Oh man, maybe he shouldn't have shown him this movie after all? Then he wouldn't have this "problem" now. But as long as Venom had fun with this, Eddie didn't mind, because a happy Klyntar was a much easier to care for Klyntar than one who was constantly grumpy or even aggressive, because he didn't get enough to eat or because he was bored. He had enough to eat and wasn't bored anymore since he started his very own personal video vlog.

Eddie could only roll his eyes playfully at that and tried to ignore Venom as best as he could, as he walked to his door with another bag of groceries and left the apartment.

"Hide yourself, V. You can continue your vlog later when we're in the car."

"Fiiiiiine…"

Another eye roll and this time it was accompanied by a small grin from Eddie.

Sometimes Venom acted worse than a little kid and that's what amused him so much. The symbiote looked so scary and dangerous, yet had such a soft and playful side to it that it was just funny to see him pout.

Just like he was doing it right now.

For a full ten seconds.

Then the sulking ended and Venom obeyed, retreating into his host's body, as Eddie stepped through his apartment door and stowed the rest of their luggage in the car.

Less than an hour later, the time had finally come and the journey could begin. The car was fully loaded with all the things that the two friends would need for the next few days: Clothes and toiletries for Eddie and all sorts of food and drink that should be enough for the next few days. Otherwise, Eddie still had the opportunity to drive to the small town a few miles away from Dan's house and shop there. But he wanted to prevent this as much as possible, because after all he drove to the countryside to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Also, Dan had indicated in his letter that there were mobile vending machines everywhere along the way, where they could get eggs, milk, potatoes, sausages and such. These things were made locally by the farmers. So there would be enough food for the two of them.

Out of the corner of his eyes he watched Venom. For a change, he didn't have his smartphone with him, as it was currently being used as a navigation system and was attached to the windscreen in front of Eddie with a holder. So instead he stared excitedly out the window. His head swung quickly from side to side as he seemed to want to take a look at each tree that rushed past them.

"You'll get sick if you keep doing this," Eddie said, and he couldn't help but shake his head slightly. Venom was behaving worse than any toddler he'd ever known.

"It's not my fault, Eddie. I just have to look at them. But...they are so fast. Too fast!"

"If you throw up in this car, you'll clean this mess up. Is that clear?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm not throwing up."

"Then stop looking at each tree individually."

"Relax. I am not going to throw up."

"Venom, seriously. Stop it. I know it makes you sick. Dan will kill me if we mess up his car."

"He can't do that. Before he can even give you a weird look, he'd already be a head shorter. Literally..."

Eddie could practically hear the wide and mean grin in the dark voice and a little shiver ran through his whole body when he just imagined this and in that moment he was sure that Venom meant his words seriously.

"We're not biting Dan's head off. And now stop it. I get dizzy myself, just watching you do this."

"You're not supposed to be looking at me anyway. You're supposed to be looking at the street," Venom grumbled and a tentacle appeared, turning Eddie's head back again, forcing him to look ahead.

"Has anyone ever told you that you can be a damn big pain in the ass sometimes?" the journalist grumbled and without looking at Venom, since he then preferred to concentrate on the street, which was completely empty, but he didn't want to end up kissing a tree after all. He could already guess the wide grin and he was right, because the Klyntar finally turned his face away from the passing trees and looked at him with a grin so wide that it almost split his face in half.

"No. You are the first one to tell me this."

"Well, then you know it now..."

"Oh come on, Eddie. Don't always be so grumpy. Relax and have some fun for a change. Laughing will do you good. Or should I help you a little with that? Like last night?"

The last words caused his grin to turn slightly evil and his white eyes to sparkle, while Eddie shuddered and blushed slightly as he recalled the events of the previous evening.

"No thanks, V. I can do without you tickling me until I almost pee my pants!"

"Old spoilsport…"

"Do me a favor and just look out the window again..."

"Oh no, Eddie. I have a much better idea."

"Oh, please don't..."

"It's not a bad thing, you wimp. How about we turn on the radio and listen to some music, hm?"

"Fine. As long as you don't sing again."

"Why not? That was fun."

"Yeah sure, you're having fun and my poor ears have to suffer."

Venom sensed that Eddie wasn't serious about what he was saying and when he looked really closely he could even see a small grin on the human's lips, showing that he was enjoying their little squabbles after all.

"If you would sing along, your ears wouldn't suffer. Or maybe they would? Who knows how bad you sing?"

"Certainly not worse than you."

"Oh no? Well, how about we find out?"

"Oh no. No, no, no, that's out of the question, Venom. You can forget that right away."

But Eddie didn't stand a chance against his friend, who turned on the radio and searched for a suitable song and actually found it after a few seconds of searching.

"I'm definitely not going to sing, V! Forget it!" Eddie growled as Venom purposely turned the volume up and started singing along. Even if the young man had to admit that he liked the song.

It was "A Sky full of Stars" by Coldplay. Just hearing that song, coming out of Venom's mouth, in that dark, eerie voice, gave Eddie goosebumps. But at the same time he also felt the corners of his own mouth twitch up a bit. Venom was so silly. He could look and sound as creepy as he wanted to, but he was actually a big softie. The corners of his mouth twitched up even further as a small tentacle nudged his shoulder and Venom trying to encourage him to sing along with him.

"Come on, Eddie. Don't be a spoilsport. Sing along with me. It's fun," he said, before getting lost in the song again, turning up the radio volume a little more.

"Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars. I'm gonna giiiiiiiive you my heart~."

"V, stop it..." Eddie muttered and he couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed when he heard the lyrics, even though he knew that Venom was deliberately teasing him with that. But at the same time the song made him happy, because it reminded him of times long past when he was with Anne and he remembered well that she had also loved hearing this song. However, she had never sung along. And Eddie didn't want it either. Well...not really. Or did he want to sing along?

Catching a sideways glimpse of Venom made him almost jealous at how much fun the Klyntar was having and he recalled his words: Was he really such a big spoilsport as Venom used to tell him? No, he wasn't. And he would show that blob of slime from space that he could very well have fun! But not with singing. After all, he wasn't in one of those cheesy Disney movies where everyone was always singing. But, looking at Venom, who just seemed to lose himself completely in the song by now, Eddie doubted that as well.

That small tentacle nudged him again; stronger this time, making him growl softly.

"'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark. I'm gonna giiiiiiiive you my heart, ohhh~."

"I don't care, go on and teeeeear me apart. I don't care if you do~. 'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky, full of stars. I think I see you~."

Venom almost got the shock of his life when Eddie suddenly joined in the song. He had expected everything, but nothing like this and he looked shocked at his human, who turned his head to him, grinning broadly and then belted out the next line of the lyrics and even banged his hands on the steering wheel.

The alien could hardly believe what he was seeing and hearing right now.

Was that really the same Eddie who had looked so grumpy less than a minute ago?

"Who are you and what did you do with Eddie?"

In response, the reporter playfully nudged the part of his body that represented his neck in his serpent form and he grinned like a Cheshire cat at him in turn, singing the next line of the song's lyrics: "'Cause you're a sky , 'cause you're a sky full of stars. I wanna die in your arms~."

"Oh, is that so, hm?" the Klyntar teased his human and he couldn't help but laugh as he saw how Eddie's cheeks blushed slightly once again. He just kept singing anyway and it wasn't long before Venom joined in too and soon their voices echoed through the car, as they both sang along to the rest of the song.

And even Eddie had to admit, that his vacation couldn't have gotten off to a better start...
