That this same power would take an interest in Taylor Hebert is merely an example of causality in action.

In 2008, Annette Rose Hebert, 05-[REDACTED], dies under suspicious circumstances. In 2009, Danny Hebert dies when the Hebert household goes up in flames. Local authorities determine both incidents to be accidents. The Foundation seems to think otherwise. For her own protection, Taylor Hebert, being in summer camp, is exfiltrated to a remote site on the other side of the country.

Taylor had thought she only found the perfect base to start her hero career. Instead, she found the best partner she could ever hope to find.

Taylor has the ability to summon the one true king, Stannis Baratheon.

Jimmy ended up on the streets of Brockton Bay, a city filled with parahuman gangs, after the death of his parents, but it beat ending up in the system as far as he was concerned. Now all he had to do was keep himself clothed, fed, and pass his GED when he turned 18. Piece of cake, right?

Getting reborn into the world of Worm was...not a pleasant surprise. Being born in Brockton Bay was even worse. I have to admit, I wasn't really expecting to live out my entire life. Then, on a trip out to get milk one night, I found myself meeting a girl with rabbit ears and my life got complicated.
