Another weird idea I had while mulling over ideas for Taylor Varga which didn't quite fit in that story. Not exactly funny, it's rather more dark than I normally write. Sort of a horror story, mostly by implication. Only a short quick one-shot but it's not impossible I may revisit this one day. There's scope for more.

Several years before canon Worm, a thief with bad luck buys powers from Cauldron and gets more than he bargained for. He meets Mouse Protector, and they hit it off. Eventually, the two uncover the secret of Simurgh's nature, and all hell breaks loose.

When faced with her bullies' apparent immunity to disciplinary action, Taylor Hebert decides the best course of action is to use her new power to investigate. After acquiring enough evidence to sink Sophia once and for all, she personally delivers it straight into the Protectorate's hands. Unfortunately, things don't go quite the way she had planned.

As the title says, this is a Ben 10 X Worm quest with a SI main character. This story uses random numbers to determine the chances of the selected aliens being used, which alien is used if it is random, if a new alien will be unlocked, and what that alien will be. I, like the real Ben 10 will have to adapt to dangerous scenarios where getting the right tool for the job is uncertain

Vlad Taltos, after removing the phoenix stone and returning home to spend time with Cawti and his son, is quite literally thrown into the Worm universe a short time after Golden Morning by Verra. His only instructions are to survive, and be himself. Fortunately, he carried Lady Teldra with him, and, of course, Loiosh and Rozca joined him as well.
