But when a certain blue magician reminds them of the deal they failed to officially end, Sprig enlists the help of his dear friend Ivy to help him out. The standoff with Sasha at Toad Tower has left Anne emotionally devastated. Believing she put her family in danger by trusting Sasha in the first place, Anne keeps her guilt to herself. But the Plantars won't let her suffer in silence.

After being reunited with her best friend, a terrible nightmare brings Marcy's buried feelings of guilt bubbling to the surface. Thankfully for her, Anne is there to listen and offer support.

"Ah," said Anne, sounding embarrassed. "Noticed that, did you?" You trace a thumb down the line on her arm. You recognize, dully, that it's a scar, same as the few divots dimpling around it like freckles, but your mind can't process it as reality. Scars were supposed to be cool- over the bridge of a nose or across the eye, never something like this. "That looks like it hurt."
