Created to serve many purposes, the program found it was unique. It was activated inside a virtual world to resolve bugs and errors. It couldn't have known that the other developing program inside would later turn malicious. Then again, if the program hadn't become corrupted then it wouldn't have met these new people that entered Lyoko and changed it, for better and for worse. *AU*

There may be people out there wondering how I ended up in another timeline, and what exactly it is that happened to mine. This journal, the entries inside, and the story written inside it is all I have left to remember my home.

This is a rewrite of my story, Code: Astrid's heart. Astrid transfers to Kadic academy and on her first day encounters many different people, including Xana. What happens when her seemingly poisoned life is mixed with life in Lyoko? And what if Lyoko was the needle that poisoned her? The bonds she makes are her safety net. Sissi has gotten on everyone's nerves the entire time they spent as students at Kadic Academy, everyone was beginning to tire of her constant verbal abuse. In an alternate universe, XANA doesn't exist, or at least not as a computer virus. The gang is just a group of average teens. But in this world, creatures exist, so their average is a bit different. Each one of them is a different type of creature and the academy is used for training creatures, or humans with abilities, to control their powers.

A transfer student arrives at Kadic, and he knows quite a bit of information. How will the Lyoko crew handle this. Join them as they attempt to keep their home safe and stop X.A.N.A.
