July 20, 2033

Wednesday

4:48 P.M

Today was the last day of school before summer vacation starts so the crews of Oarai's Senshadō Team were in high spirits.

Yuna had arrived at the scene, eager to start training like usual. The first thing she did was, of course, meet with her crew who were standing around next to the Panzer IV in one of the tank sheds.

Upon seeing her, Eiko reached for a stopwatch in her pocket and remarked, "You're three minutes late. Another record breaker, Yuna."

"What can I say? I'm a natural when it comes to this kinda stuff."

"I don't think being late's something to brag about, but you do you I guess," she retorted.

"So uhh, can you help me out a bit, here Eiko?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

Yuna then retrieved a white envelope from her skirt pocket and handed it to Eiko. "I found it on my doorstep this morning, pretty weird right?"

"Yeah, who the hell still sends letters in 2033? Must've just been a crackhead or something," the redhead returned the letter to Yuna.

"You think I should open it?"

Before she could get Eiko's answer though, Mallard Team's commander, Akane Narumi, appeared and got the Panzer crew's attention.

"Oh! Akami!" Yuna exclaimed upon seeing her. "Do you need something?"

"Umm, could you not call me by a nickname, commander? We barely know each other… Anyways, there's some girls here who wanna join the club."

Yuna and Eiko shared surprised glances with each other before they and the rest of their crew went outside.

There, the Anglerfish Team met three girls whom Shiori recognized as her classmates.

"Hey! Welcome to the Senshadō Club! My name's Fujiwara Yuna, and I'm the commander of this team!"

To which Eiko retorted, "She's just a figurehead by the way, the Student Council are the ones you gotta worry about."

"U-Umm okay…"

"Eiko! Now's not the time for jokes!" Yuna exclaimed in a flustered manner.

"Sorry, couldn't help it."

Afterwards, the commander turned back to the newbies and said, "So anyways, how about you guys introduce yourselves?"

The girl in the middle replied, "Well, I'm Mikami, she's Nagoshi, and that's Shijima. We're close friends, commander."

"Great! You guys would work well in a tank crew then. Now I'm curious as to what made you wanna join us in the first place. Is it because of the ads or…?"

"Yeah, how'd you end up here in the first place, Shijima? I thought you were a hikikomori?" Shiori added.

"Hey, I'm not a hikikomori! I'm just… a-a big fan of anime, is all!"

"So much to the point of locking yourself in a room for half a year apparently."

"Come on, Shiori, stop it!" said Yuna.

"Okay, w-we got the idea after we finished Boys und Flugzeug the other night. Y-You know, the anime about planes? I-I know it sounds ridiculous! But yeah…"

To which the commander smirked and said, "Boys und Flugzeug? I see you're a woman of culture as well…"

"Hey Yuna, can you show them their tank already?" Eiko asked.

"Oh yeah! Your tank! Come on, follow me. We've got something you guys would definitely love!"

The commander led the newbies over to Shed 13, which was nearest to the Miho's watchtower. Here, the Senshadō Club kept two uncrewed tanks. One was an M6A1 heavy tank, the other was a Sherman Firefly, and both of them were gifts from Saunders after their battle a few weeks ago.

The newbies were at awe at the sight of the machines, while Yuna looked quite confused.

"Hey Eiko, didn't Saunders give us… three tanks? Where'd the other one go?"

"Yeah, the Automotive Club said the Pershing was damaged beyond repair so we scrapped it. If you ask me, I think they were lying. They hate our guts after all."

"Really…" she muttered, "A-Alright, nevermind that, girls! You can umm, pick the tank that you like now."

She didn't need an answer though as the three had flocked over to the Firefly as soon as they laid eyes on it.

"Firefly it is!" she clapped her hands. "Hey Eiko, what do you think their team name should be?"

"Isn't it already obvious?"

"But that would be too predictable! If someone taps into our comms, they'll immediately know who we're talking about!"

"How about we borrow an old team name then?"

"Sure, we could do that. How about… Hmm… Anteater Team!"

"Anteater?"

"They're an old team when Nishizumi-sensei was the commander. We haven't used their name yet so this seems like the perfect fit!"

"Can't you think up of something, I dunno, original?" she asked, to which Yuna shook her head.

"Sigh, Anteater it is then…"

While the three newbies were crawling inside their new tank, Yuna pulled out the letter from before. She had decided to finally read it but before she could, Miho suddenly appeared behind her, possibly attracted by the noise.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Oh! Nishizumi-sensei!" the commander exclaimed.

Eiko noticed Miho had a beer can in her hand so she asked, "I thought you were trying to cut back on your drinking, sensei?" in a strict tone.

"Don't worry, Takebe, it's been like… a week since I last drank. I'll be fine. Anyways, I thought I told you guys not to go here?"

"But we're showing the new crew their tank, sensei," replied Yuna.

"Oh, the Firefly huh? You know, that thing was used by an ace back then. I'm pretty sure we fought her in a match once…" Miho then pondered about who it was, but her attention quickly shifted when she saw the envelope Yuna held.

"Hey i-is that an envelope?"

"Oh uh, yeah. I found it when I woke up," the commander passed it to her instructor. "You're free to open it if you want to."

"Who the hell sends letters in 2033?" Miho remarked while inspecting it. She noticed the delivery address was there, but not the return address. "Weird…" she muttered before she opened it and skimmed through the content.

A few seconds later, Miho's eyes suddenly widened in surprise. "Whoa, you're pretty lucky, kid."

"I-I am?! What's it say?!"

Miho gave back the letter to Yuna who read it as fast as possible. "You've been invited to the Summit, Fujiwara. That means the Federation recognizes you as an actual commander now."

"What's a Summit? Isn't that like… for government people?"

"It's the party that all the commanders from around the world attend. That's also where the Selection Ceremony takes place. Usually there's a bunch of alcohol and drugs involved so I'd be careful if I were you."

"That sounds really illegal…" Yuna remarked worriedly.

"'Course it is, what else do you expect a bunch of teenagers to do?" Miho then paused to take a swig of the beer. "Look, those guys don't sound as bad as you think they are. They'll probably just rag on you for losing two training matches in a row, and that's as far as it goes. You'll be fine, kid. Don't worry about it."

The instructor gave her apprentice a little headpat before she left the premises.

"So uhh, how exactly are you gonna get to the Summit, Yuna? The letter says it's all the way in Europe. And we don't exactly have a plane to fly you all the way over there."

"Don't worry, Eiko. I know someone who does!"

Later that evening, Yuna and her friends waited at an old airstrip north of the town.

This place was the old airbase of Oarai's Airborne Division. It stands as one of the last remnants of Oarai's bygone golden age.

"I forgot how creepy this place was," Yuna remarked.

"You've been here before, Yuna?" asked Ayano.

"I pretty much call it my second home! I go here whenever I feel bored or need time to isolate myself from everybody else."

"So do you just… sit around and stare at the clouds or something?"

"Well, I used to hang out with this woman back then. I remember her having white hair; pretty weird right? She stopped coming over for some reason a while ago so nowadays I barely visit this place."

"You sure this white-haired fella wasn't just some figment of your imagination?" Eiko asked.

"Of course I'm sure! She told me a lot about World War 2 planes, you know? If she wasn't real, then I wouldn't know all of their names by heart!" Yuna said with a puffed up chest.

"Oh yeah? Prove it, gimme one American plane from World War 2."

"Uhh… F-22 Raptor?" she made a guess.

"Just a hallucination then."

Afterwards, the three heard the sound of a distant jet engine. And pretty soon, they spotted navigation lights in the distance.

"Took 'em long enough," the redhead remarked.

The plane drew closer, revealing itself to be a C-140 JetStar, and landed on the runway. It was the first time in years that an aircraft had landed on this dusty airstrip.

"Huh, I thought Saunders would have something more high-tech," Yuna said.

"Maybe they don't like spending a lot of money," Ayano whispered.

"I can definitely see them as being cheapskates," said Eiko.

Afterwards, the JetStar's engines came to a stop and its door came open. Out came Saunders' former Senshadō commander, Mari Nagare.

"Ayy, wusgood homies!"

"Nagare-san! It's so good to see you again!"

"Likewise, Yuna. So you've been invited to the Summit, huh?"

"I-I guess I have!" she responded rather shyly.

"You should be proud, man! You got clout now. Almost every Senshadō fan in Japan knows who you are!"

"Uhh… Pardon but um, what's clout?"

"It's uh… pretty complicated. We'll just talk about it on the plane."

"Right! B-But first, can I say goodbye to my friends?"

"Sure man, go ahead. We ain't going nowhere," she reassured.

Yuna then turned around to Ayano and Eiko and said, "Take care of the Senshadō Club for me, alright guys?"

"Don't worry, Yuna, we got it under control. Nishizumi-sensei can take care of us pretty fine anyways," said Eiko.

"Yeah, a-and be careful over there, okay?"

"I will!" she nodded before boarding the plane

Eiko and Ayano watched on as the aircraft departed from the airport into the night.

"Welp, let's hope she doesn't overdose on crack or something," the redhead said.

And Ayano gave a small "mhmm" in response.

It was half an hour before midnight. Yuna was struggling to sleep as Mari hadn't yet, instead she was listening to some tunes on her phone.

Her constant humming and mumbling of lyrics kept the commander awake and eventually, Yuna had enough of it.

Opening her eyes and letting out a yawn, Yuna said in a slightly annoyed tone, "You're not asleep yet, Nagare-san?"

"Why would I be?" the American commander asked back. "I don't go to bed 'til 3:00, you know."

"You… don't?" she tilted her head in confusion.

"Nope… Anyways, since you're awake, wanna have a drink?" after which Mari pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniels.

That was when all of the drowsiness escaped Yuna's body and she exclaimed, "Wh-What the hell is that doing here?!"

"It came with that jet! I've been meaning to empty this thing for a while now. Good thing you came along," Mari replied as she twisted it open before grabbing two nearby wine glasses and pouring the whiskey onto them.

At this point, Yuna began freaking out. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! W-We're not supposed to be doing this! We're minors! Th-This is illegal! We're- We're gonna be arrested!"

"Calm the hell down, dude. We're forty one thousand feet in the air! Ain't nobody gon' come after us!"

"B-But still! Drinking can ruin your life, you know?"

"Eh, who the hell cares… this planet's fucked anyways. We'd all be dead in fifty years so why not enjoy life before it's too late!"

Calming down a bit, Yuna then asked, "Why… do you wanna drink so bad anyways?"

"My dad used to drink like a friggin' fish back in the day, 'til he got sent into a coma that is. It seemed to taste good from the looks of it, so I figured, might as well try it out!"

"I-I still don't know about this…" she stammered, reluctantly picking up the glass.

But Mari still urged her to do it. "Come on, Yuna! Just a lil' sippy-sip will do!"

After a short pause, the brunette sighed and nodded. "Alright… I guess one wouldn't hurt."

Ten minutes passed and the whiskey bottle was now almost half empty. The two commanders had become tipsy at this point and they were in an uncontrollable fit of hysterical laughter as they watched a video of a waffle falling over on a loop.

This continued until Yuna asked, "Hey… Hey Nagare…"

"...What is it?" she responded while trying to hold in laughter.

"I've been meaning to ask you this, but isn't Kelly-san supposed to be the commander? Wha- What are you doing here?"

"What? You don't like me or sumn?"

"No no, I'm just wonderin' why the vice commander's coming to the party instead."

"It's because Kelly's a dumbass," Mari answered, chuckling, "She can't help but piss off Kay every single time she's on the battlefield. That's kinda the reason why I don't like her…"

"Wait… do you hate Kelly, Nagare-san? Is that it?"

Mari poured herself another glass and downed it in one go before she replied, "Well… not really. Yeah, it's a fact that I don't like her… but I don't hate her either. Kelly's kinda like an annoying little sister to me, ya know… You just gotta be patient and her good side will eventually come out."

The two paused for a short moment before the waffle in the video fell over again and they resumed their cackling. They both eventually passed out afterwards.

A few hours later, Yuna was shook awake by Mari, who was groaning, "Yunaaa… Wake the hell up, we're about to land…"

So she slowly got up, clutching her head which was aching, and mumbled something incoherent in response.

"We're about to land, dude. Look," the American pointed to the window. To which Yuna looked and immediately, her eyes widened.

It was a sight she had never seen in her life before. A gigantic ship carrying a mountain half its size on top. Its marvelous presence left Yuna speechless.

When they eventually landed, the two commanders waited outside their jet, now dressed in fresh clothes. Mari had requested the local school to offer them a private ride minutes prior, and they fortunately accepted.

"We aren't going to the party yet?"

"Not yet, it's later tonight, Yuna. That's more of a good thing though. It means we get to spend more time dicking around in the town!"

"Huh… a-alright then."

"Alright, now listen, this place isn't like any of the Japanese carriers you're familiar with. These guys move differently than us, aight?"

"What does that mean?" Yuna raised a brow.

"That means no bowing, no super formal introductions, just keep it cool, got it?"

The brunette nodded determinedly. "Mhmm, got it!"

And right afterwards, the car finally arrived. It pulled up right in front of them before the chauffeur came out. She was a rather tall woman with dark brown hair, black eyes, and her uniform resembled that of the Greeks' from WW2.

"Kaliméra," she greeted, "I hope you two had a safe trip. The name's Penelope."

"Mari," she shook her hand. "That's Yuna back there. She's not really that good at English so please excuse her."

"Oh, no worries! I know a bit of Japanese myself! I'm sure there won't be any miscommunications!" she assured before going over to Yuna.

"It's an honor to meet you, Fujiwara-san. I've heard plenty of things about you."

"I-It's fine if you just call me 'Yuna'!" she replied with an awkward chuckle.

"Yuna it is then."

After that, Penelope placed their luggage on the car's trunk and she drove the two to the nearest hotel.

Yuna had her eyes glued to the window for the whole ride. It seemed like she couldn't get enough of the town.

"You really like this place, huh Yuna?" Mari asked amusedly.

"Yeah… They have a whole goddamn mountain, Nagare-san!"

"Well, they needed something to remind them of their home after all."

"Don't you guys have mountains in your carriers too?" Penelope asked.

"Yeah, but they're not this big," the American replied. "How did people put this thing on the ship in the first place?"

"Well, that's the thing: nobody knows. The origins of this carrier is a myth at this point."

"So nobody wrote about it back in the day?"

"No, a lot of people did. We're just too lazy to read about them nowadays."

"Oh…"

"Anyways, here we are." the car stopped and Penelope turned the engines off. "I'll pick you guys up at five in the afternoon. You have a lot of time to roam around town 'til then. Don't do anything stupid, okay?"

"Would you still tell me that if I wasn't from Saunders?" Mari, who was a tad bit offended, asked.

"You guys have a reputation for acting up. I'm just making sure, you know?" Penelope said in an apologetic tone.

"That's just a dumb stereotype, Penny," replied Mari before she got out along with Yuna.

"Penny?"

"It's a nickname, get used to it."

"Uhh, alright I guess? I'll see you girls later," and with that, she drove off.

After Yuna bid farewell as well, she and Mari settled into their hotel room. And after they had a bath, they went touring around the floating Greek city. They visited landmarks, ate at lavish restaurants, and at the end of the day, even took a gander at the local school's Tankery Club, who was in the middle of a training match.

The two watched from an overlook, gyros in hand, as the Greeks fought each other in Vickers 6-ton's and CV-35's. The battle more resembled a Tankathlon match than anything.

"Hey, can we go somewhere else now?" asked Mari, who was getting bored. "We've been here for twenty minutes! Why'd you wanna go here in the first place?"

"I just wanted to see how the Europeans do Senshadō, Nagare-san. O-Or I guess it's Tankery in this case…"

"The only thing different about them is that they put boys in the tanks, now let's get out of here! Penny's picking us up in twenty minutes," Mari stood up and hastily left the premises.

"Wait, they do?!" she exclaimed before running after her, "Hey, wait for me!"

The Summit was being held at a mansion on a literal summit, so the ride there was quite a long one.

As Penelope's car slowly but surely climbed the mountain, a dozen helicopters kept flying over them. They each belonged to a different school either from Europe or Japan. Mari also realized the mountain had a cable car system all along and that they didn't have to waste their time on such an arduous climb.

When confronted about this, Penelope said, "Don't you wanna pull up on a whip instead of riding a boring ass cable car?"

"Fair enough," and the ride continued.

When they finally reached the top, they came across a pair of iron gates which looked to have been destroyed. Beyond them was an estate owned by the captain of the carrier himself.

"Behold, the entrance to Elysium itself," Penelope said before she pressed forwards. In the distance, they could see lights and could hear the faint sound of music.

"What kind of place is this anyways?" Mari asked.

"Nothing short of a paradise. We can do anything we want here. There's wine, there's women, there's tons of wonderful vices! Too much is never enough, girls, remember that!"

Soon enough, the car pulled up to the mansion proper and parked at a circular driveway. Yuna and Mari got out and Penelope followed after.

"Wait, you're coming too, Penny?"

"I'm Olympus High School's Tankery commander. Of course I'm coming!"

"Wh-Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Yuna asked.

"Eh, telling people that I'm in a position higher than them's kind of a douchy move, amiright?"

"I guess you're right on that one."

The outside of the mansion was filled with a large crowd of girls who were having a ball and dancing around to music.

As the trio climbed up the porch steps, they met a commander who was sitting there alone with a bottle of alcohol in hand.

Penelope told her, "You good bruh?"

To which she responded, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm pretty tired from partying all night. I'm just here enjoying the fresh air."

"Alright, you do you, dude."

Penelope opened the doors to the mansion and a chaotic sight greeted them.

The foyer was crowded with people. Some were standing around, talking to each other; Some were drunk and talking to themselves; and some lay on the ground unconscious after too many drinks.

The walls were covered with graffiti; the chandelier was broken and on the ground; a banner hung on the ceiling which read "Welcome to the Cult of Dionysus!". And the only thing in this entire house that wasn't vandalized was a sculpture of the God of Ecstasy himself, which stood in the middle of the room.

"Alright! Let's enjoy ourselves tonight, girls! I'll see you later." Penelope exclaimed before she left the two to themselves.

"S-So uhh… when does the Selection Ceremony start?" Yuna asked Mari.

"You need to stop thinking about that for a second man. That shit comes later. We get turnt up first!"

"A-Alright then! I guess…"

"Aight cool, let's split up. I'll meet you again when the Ceremony starts."

Yuna nodded and they went their separate ways. Mari went upstairs while she headed to the west part of the mansion to a large living room.

There were a dozen stoned people sitting on the couches, all had blunts hanging from their mouths. They were watching a movie on a TV which had a cracked screen. It didn't seem to bother them though as, from the looks of it, they seemed to be having a good time.

Suddenly, a blonde girl appeared before Yuna, offering her a bong. "Hey, wanna take a hit, man?" she asked in a slurred voice.

"Uhh, n-no thanks, I'll pass…" I need to get out of here fast. The smoke is asphyxiating me…

"Come on, man, it's really good, I promise!" the girl insisted.

"Wait…" that was when Yuna recognized the girl's voice, "I-Is that you, Yoshiko-dono?!"

Yoshiko was St. Gloriana's commander and the daughter of Darjeeling herself. To see a sophisticated and ladylike person such as her in a place like this was shocking to say the least.

"My name's 'Gunpowder' dude!" she exclaimed before bonking Yuna on the head.

"Ow, hey! Wh-What do you mean, 'Gunpowder'?"

"It's my tea name, man. You know, cuz everyone in St. Glo has one?"

"Uhh, no offense, but that sounds a bit ridiculous, ma'am. C-Can't you change your name into something less silly?"

"Why would I do that, man?"

"I-I dunno, I just feel like you'd be a laughingstock if you came out on the battlefield with a name like 'Gunpowder'."

"Oh yeah? Well, I'd like to see you come up with a better name then! How 'bout that?" Yoshiko said with a boastful laugh before she accidentally dropped her bong which shattered into a million pieces.

"Oops… well nevermind, I still have a hookah anyways…"

"Hmm, how about 'Sencha'?" Yuna suggested.

"Huh? What's that? What were we talking about again?"

"It's your tea name, Yoshiko-dono! 'Sencha'! It fits you perfectly 'cause, you know, it sounds like sensha a-and like… you know…"

"Huh, that does sound cool, hmm… I might use that, man! Hey, who are you anyways? Wh-Why'd you just come up and talk to me all of a sudden?"

Weren't you the one who walked up to me…? "Eh, well, I just recognized you as St. Gloriana's commander so I wanted to say hi! I'm Yuna by the way, it's an honor to meet you, ma'am."

"You too, man!"

Afterwards, Yuna moved somewhere else. Somewhere that has fresh air. She found herself in the dining room where a large argument between multiple commanders was taking place.

She couldn't understand what exactly they were arguing about since their voices overlapped each other and there was nothing but incoherent screaming. She found Penelope was there too, as well as the commander of Kebab High School.

"What the hell is happening here?" she asked a bystander.

To which she casually replied, "Typical Balkan stuff. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, there's a party game going on in the living room. The stoner-free one."

At least there's one room in this house that isn't filled with chaos… "Thanks," and she quickly left.

Yuna didn't know where the second living room exactly was so she wandered around for a bit and ended up getting sidetracked. She found herself in the conservatory which was filled with girls who were high on shrooms. She had a nice hearty talk with them about the meaning of life and other related subjects.

Then she ended up on the second floor and in one of the two bedrooms - the other one she couldn't get into because it was blocked by someone who told her that there was 'ongoing lesbian tomfoolery', whatever that means.

In that bedroom, she found a girl who was playing Ghost of Tsushima by herself. Turns out, she was Chi-Ha-Tan's pseudo-commander. She didn't tell Yuna her name, but she did say her nickname: Ashikaga Yoshiteru.

Another history nut like Takeda, huh? was what Yuna thought of her.

After taking turns playing the game, Yuna eventually decided to leave, not without being told by the girl that they were "fated to meet again someday" first.

On the way downstairs, she bumped into a fellow commander. It was a pretty mundane encounter, with Yuna apologizing and then moving on, but then a bunch of people who saw them suddenly pulled out their phones and started recording, as if they were expecting something to happen.

The commander she bumped into asked them, "Is something wrong? What are you pointing those cameras at me for?"

"You're standing right next to Oarai's commander, Ikeda-dono!"

"You guys are beefing with each other, right?"

"That shit ended years ago, the hell are you guys talking about?!" she exclaimed in an irritated tone.

After that, they sighed disappointedly and put their phones down.

"Sorry about that, Fujiwara-dono. People seem to think Oarai and Dominion High are still bitter rivals to this day."

"It's alright, Ikeda-dono. It was nothing but a simple misunderstanding!"

"Yeah, that's true. Though I kinda wish people would forget about that stupid rivalry already… Anyways, see ya, commander," and she walked off.

"Y-You too!"

Afterwards, Yuna finally arrived at the other living room of the mansion. She felt really stupid when she realized it was located opposite to the western living room.

That was where most of the people were at the moment. They sat around couches and on the floor while they watched the party game unfold.

Speaking of which, the game being played was Jenga. That sounds innocent enough right? Well, not exactly. This version of Jenga was a far more unusual one.

In the middle of the room was a glass table, on top of which were large red bricks. You already know where this is going.

Alright, I was wrong. This place is the definition of insanity.

Upon entering the room, someone placed an arm around Yuna's shoulder, catching her by surprise.

"If it isn't my least hated commander!"

"K-Kasumi-dono!?" she exclaimed.

"In the flesh, baby! I haven't seen ya in a while! You know, you've been popping off since the last time we've met. They've even given you a nickname now."

"Wait, really?!"

"Yeah. They call you the Fool of Oarai. The commander who lost two training matches in a row!"

Dammit, now I've become popular for the wrong reason! she thought and bowed her head in shame.

"You've kinda reached legendary status, I'm not gonna lie. Very few commanders have done that, you know?" Then Kasumi noticed her long face, "Hey, what's the matter?"

"I-I don't wanna be remembered as a failure, Kasumi-dono! Wh-What do I do now?!"

"Hey, hey, calm the hell down, will ya?" Kasumi grabbed her by the shoulders. "Listen, there's still time to redeem yerself. Ya just gotta win the first round of the tournament, got it? Then you'll lose your clown status and people'll take you seriously afterward!"

"Y-You really think so?"

Then suddenly, the Jenga player shushed them. "Hey! Keep it down! I'm trying to concentrate here!"

"Go screw yourself!"

And, as if on cue, the glass table collapsed as it could no longer support the weight of the bricks on top.

Someone walked in right after, saw the damage, and exclaimed, "Oh no! Our table! It's broken!" to which everyone burst out laughing.

"How the hell is that funny…" Kasumi remarked confusedly.

Then another girl came in. "Hey guys, the Selection Ceremony's about to start. Everybody who's Japanese, get your asses over to the home theater room now!"

"Ya don't gotta be so rude about it, jackass!" Kasumi flipped her off before she left. Afterwards, everyone left as well.

On the way there, Yuna bumped into the stoners from earlier. They were carrying the ones that couldn't walk anymore on their shoulders. She also met with Penelope who had a black eye and Mari who had red eyes from smoking weed.

"Where have you been, Nagare-san?"

"I found a bag of weed in the basement."

"Uhh… alright… l-let's get going then."

When they entered the theater room, all of the Japanese commanders were already there. And before them was a box with a hole on it, standing in front of the giant cracked TV.

Then Yoshiko appeared next to the box with a mic and said, "Alright man, let's make this quick. The night's still young and I still haven't tried out my new hookah yet…"

Everyone then stood up from their seats and went to the box to pull out a number. They didn't even bother taking turns. The sooner they could get this over with, the sooner they could go back to their vices. The Selection Ceremony wasn't as formal as Yuna thought it out to be.

"So uhh… wh-what do I do now?" the Oarai commander asked.

To which Mari pushed her forwards and said, "Hurry up and go over there, man."

"Alright! Alright!"

Yuna went over to the box and before she put her hand through, she muttered, "Please don't pit me against a major school!"

The number she pulled was 4. And when Yoshiko saw it, she said, "Damn, you're pretty unlucky, man. You're going up against Pravda."

Upon hearing this, Yuna's heart dropped. "P-P-Pravda?!"

"Yeah man, they're the second most powerful Senshadō Club in Japan… Good luck to you, Fujiwara-dono."

"So… I'm going up against the Fool of Oarai, huh?" Yuna heard from behind her. She turned around and found herself standing before the commander of Pravda herself.

She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a cocky grin worn across her face. "It seems that fate does not favor you at all, Fujiwara-dono. I almost feel pity for you and your pathetic team. Tell you what, if you forfeit the match, maaybe I'll spare you the humiliation. Until then, have fun with your has-been club before it's too late." and she walked away right after.

"Dang, that's pretty unfortunate, man. Best of luck to you, I guess."

Mari and Penelope then joined back with Yuna.

"Damn, you're going against Pravda? That's tough, bro."

"I-I know! But there's still a chance I can win! I just know it!"

"Heh, come on dude, that's a bit of a stretch," Mari said, placing a comforting hand on Yuna's shoulder. "Just… try to get as many Pravda tanks down with you as possible, 'kay? That might raise your rep a little bit."

Then all of a sudden, someone barged into the room, catching everyone's attention. It was the captain of the ship himself. He had arrived sooner than expected.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GIRLS DOING IN MY HOUSE?!" he yelled in a mix confusion and anger.

There was a split second of silence before someone threw a firecracker at his face and everyone booked it out of there.

Everyone got in their vehicles and escaped the premises as soon as possible.

"Penelope, start the car, hurry!" Yuna exclaimed as she carried Mari - who was too high to run - on her back. She then threw her into the passenger seat before getting in the back seat.

Penelope slid across the car hood, got in, and started the car before getting out of there as well.

"Whew! Haha! Aftó ítan treló! You guys alright?"

"Fine here!" Yuna answered.

"Yep…"

"Ti les tóra, did you see what happened back there? They threw a friggin' firecracker at him!" she exclaimed followed by a fit of laughter. The two commanders laughed along with her.

A few minutes passed as they rode down the mountain and Penelope asked. "...So, Yuna. What did you think of your first Summit?"

"That was probably the most chaotic party I've ever been to in my life! Seriously, what was up with all that alcohol? And the drugs! Don't even get me started on the drugs!"

"Clearly you've never been to a high school party before! That's just how it is, Yuna."

"Jeez, if that's so, I'm never coming to another one again!"

"You just have to give it time, Yuna," Penelope chimed in, "You'll get used to all the chaos in time."

"Anyways, you should really get ready for that fight with Pravda, man. They have a high chance of whooping your ass and humiliating you in front of thousands of people."

"Yeah but uhh… I don't really know how exactly I'm gonna do that. I know sparring can't help me at this point so umm… D-Do you know where I should start?"

"Well, to defeat your enemy, you gotta know your enemy first," Mari gave her a hint.

"B-But I already know what Pravda is."

Penelope also gave one. "No, no, she means you gotta do a little bit of sightseeing, if you catch my drift!"

Yuna tilted her head in confusion.

"Sigh, You gotta spy on 'em!" the two yelled.

"Ohhh, that's what you mean!"

End of Act 1

Finally, after many months of hard work, Act 1 is finally finished. Now the real story starts. The next chapter won't be coming out soon though, unfortunately, since I'm going to be working on a new oneshot (which will be out in a week or so) which won't have OC's for once.

goodbye for now
