Happy Pride month Folks. To spite homophobic father that compared lesbians to sharks I would like to encourage everyone to go see Lightyear. I plan on going Friday.

Mirabel was 13 when she was given The Talk. Honestly, it was super awkward. Which is why right after she ran to Cas and hid under her bed covers while cuddling Cas' new kitten Navidad.

"I can't believe it! That was so embarrassing! I never want to think about those things again!" Mirabel whined to the 14 year old.

Too bad sure Mirabel then as she heard a chuckle and could almost hear the smirk on Cas' face, "Well that's too bad, Abuela. You have to give me. The talk in about 60 years."

Mirabel screamed so loud that Tia Luisa and Tia Dolores ran in to check on her.

Mirabel learned in one day that Cas' had a boyfriend and broken up with him in the same day.

Mirabel decided that if Cas had never introduced Helio Ramos to her then he certainly wasn't important.

Abuela Mirabel told her she was wise to think that as she had never liked Helio anyway.

…..

"Abuela tell Mirabel it's okay to like boys and girls," Cas had told the whole table at dinner one night.

"Cas! No!" Mirabel blushed as the whole table looked confused at the pair.

"It is," Abuela Mirabel chuckled at her blushing younger self, "Cas you like both right?"

Cas nodded.

"It's called being bisexual, Tia," Marina added as she motioned to herself, "I am too."

"I'm Bisexual as well," Raul added with a shy smile.

"I personally don't think I like people like that," Ana wondered out loud, "So I'm probably asexual."

"Same, Ana," Christina nodded.

Juan nodded in agreement at the asexual comments.

"Pansexuals here!" Ernesto added waving to both him and Estela.

"And you know me and Reyes like only men," David smiled at the young girl as Reyes blushed.

Mirabel looked surprised at several of those at the table, "Huh, but that okay here but back home I can only like boys. Abuela says so."

The table looked very taken aback by that. It was 1948 after all where she was from.

"Love and people are wide and diversity. Remember that. What Abuela says is not law and as you can see things change and are not as clear cut as she thinks," Abuela Mirabel explained proudly, "So, Mirabel it's okay that we like both."

Young Mira took it all in before smiling softly, "So, I can say both the boys and girls are pretty."

"Yes, you can," Abuela Luisa smiled and patted her on the back.

Suddenly, Ivan spat out his drink and looked at his Tia Mirabel in shock, "Wait! Your Bi Tia?!"

"Yes," Abuela Mirabel looked confused at the shock faces at the table.

"You never told us that," Ernesto looked confused.

"You never asked."

Teenage Mirabel remembered the words Abuela Mirabel told her next time she was in town and gazing at the girl she had a crush on named Martha in town.

She had off handley comment on how girls can be so cute, she didn't notice that Isabela had been near her eyeing Natalia, Martha's older sister. She did notice when the blushing and confused Isabela had walked into her own flower bush though.

Mirabel remembered the time 14 year old Cas had cried under her bed when she was 9. She knew the heartbreak was bound to happen soon. She was expecting it.

What she was not expecting was a very tired looking Cas to walk in with a blonde toddler in her arms.

"Cas what the-"

Cas simply walked into the nursery and placed the boy in front of Antonio, "Antonio, Matt. Matt, Antonio." Then fell onto Mirabel's bed with a huff.

The two boys blinked at each other.

Antonio held up a stuff animal that Mirabel had made for him, "Toucan?"

Matt nodded very seriously, "Bird."

They then continued as Antonio held up an animal Matt would repeat its name. Just toddler stuff Mirabel guessed.

Mira sat on the bed next to the very stressed and tired looking Cas, "Um, are you okay?"

Cas just huffed, "Remember when I visited you at like 9 and said my mom came back?"

"I'm guessing that recently happened," Mira nodded with a worried look.

"Yeah, like 3 weeks ago. That's my half-brother Matt," Cas explained as she flopped around on the bed and hugged Mirabel's people to her chest, "What kind of woman just leaves a two year old?"

"One that did it before," Mirabel muttered earning a look of surprise from Cas, "She left Jaime when he was 2 right after your ceremony. Sorry, but sometimes your cousins talk when you're not in ear shock."

"Yeah, but at least she left me and Jaime with our father. She left with people that had no relation to him," Cas lamented as she rolled to look at the nursery walls, "Matt's only family now is me and Jaime."

"Nope."

Cas rolled back over to look confused at Mira, "Huh?"

"C'mon. I've met your family. It's our family," Mirabel explained with a smirk as she booped Cas' nose, "Dear Casandra, if Matt is your family then he's a part of La Familia Madrigal."

Mirabel would prove to be right over the next couple of weeks, Matt clearly became a part of the Madrigal family. Specifically he became a part of the quartet of baby Madrigals that included Dolores' granddaughter Jacinta, Antonio's grandchildren Adrian and Sara, and now Matt who's they recently decided to rename Mateo.

In that time Mateo was also officially adopted by Reyes and David after much debate with the Abuela Mirabel and Abuela Luisa's families. Jaime had been very "vocal" about how he wanted Mateo to stay his brother after all and after talks it was made clear that while Reyes and David would be Mateo's fathers that Cas and Jaime were still going to be his siblings.

The first funeral Mirabel ever attended was Tia Dolores'.

She and Cas cried a lot about it. Every Madrigal did.

But Mirabel was the one that saw young Dolores back in 1948. Mirabel cried in Dolores' arms not really wanting to put into words what was wrong.

…..

"Mirabel, this is my girlfriend Gabriela Rivera," Cas introduced her new girlfriend to her best friend.

Said best friend didn't look up from the gameboy she was playing, she had just started pokemon ruby after all and was concentrating hard, "I was there when she asked you out remember?"

Gabriela couldn't help but giggle at this as Cas looked a little caught off guard, "Yeah, but I'm really introducing you to her."

That piqued Mirabel's interest as she placed the game down and stood up from the chair she was sitting in, "Alright, hola! Mirabel Madrigal, nice to meet you."

Gabriela's face twisted in confusion, "Weird. You have the same name as Cas' grandmother?"

"Yeah, cause I am," Mirabel replied with no hesitation.

"What?"

"Her grandmother."

Gabriela slowly looked at Cas, "What…."

"Yeah, see, my best friend is my grandmother," Cas nervously laughed as Gabriela looked back and forth from Cas to Mirabel, "Cause I can actually time travel…."

"That feels like something you mentioned before the one month anniversary…."

"I'm mentioning it now…?"

Mirabel just watched them fight wondering if they remembered she was here.

Cas woke up to crying from next to her and glanced over concerned at the crying Mirabel in her bed, "Mira? Whats wrong?"

Cas was expecting a nightmare about her family or spiraling thoughts about her "giftlessness".

Instead Mirabel lifted the game boy, "I finally picked the pokemon that was good agansist the first gym."

"Mirabel, I think you need a time out from Pokemon."

Next Time- year 14. Mirabel is told to get off Rooftops and she finally decides to ask about her husband and son.
