Chapter 22: Anarchist Cooking In Hell's Kitchen
(Opening A/N: It seems that Hell's Kitchen was once a resistance hub until the DoF decided to slaughter all the members inside and claimed it as their base of operations, and now with both the Anarchy, the Red Scorpions and the NY resistance are going to take another part of New York, Hell's Kitchen, and it seems that it is used as a base of operations for the NY branch of the DoF, but without further ado here's chapter 22.)
W came into the room where Akame and I were sleeping and she gently shook me as I woke up, grabbed my glasses and placed them onto my face.
"Hey, the raid on Hell's Kitchen is going to have to be put on hold, the higher ups want to have a word with us." W said as I got out of bed still naked from me and Akame having sex.
So I grabbed my clothes and got dressed as Akame did the same as well.
We then headed for the surveillance room where the "Higher ups" were waiting for us and it seems that Kirill was there waiting for us, and he signalled me to stay outside so he could take care of business inside...W and Chiquita are already in the surveillance room speaking with the leaders of the Anime Resistance and it seems that the superiors are very unhappy with their group and hopefully not with mine.
"Sir...I don't think you understand-" W said but it seems that one of the leaders was the one who financed the weapons for the NY resistance the owner of the HCLI Floyd Hekmatyar.
"No you don't understand the situation we're in right now!" Floyd snapped, he was infuriated that there was dealing with W since he "lost" his daughter to the DoF along with her team.
"Sir, with all due respect, we've lost Hell's Kitchen because the enemy had our location and they also had a person of interest that was calling the shots." W said as he pulled up an image of the POI.
Kirill knew that it was his uncle that was pulled up on the hologram as he slammed a fist against the table.
"I want that bastard!" Kirill shouted in anger as he was hell bent on making his uncle suffer.
"You're all dismissed!" Floyd said as W, Kirill, and Chiquita came out and it seems that W was infuriated about something.
He began to grumble angrily under his breath along with adding a few curse words to show how mad he was with them.
"Hey...is everything alright?" I asked and I could see the anger within W as he was trying to hold back his anger and he then sighed as he knew that it wasn't the best to be mad, he had a mission to finish.
"Not really." W answered after a sigh. "Although it's not the first time I've been chewed out for some stupid shit."
"W has been hated by assholes. The superiours are one of them." Chiquita added.
"What was going on?" Kirill asked, W was still upset that he was trying to get things right, but somehow we need to shove it into the faces of the so called "Higher ups" and show that W is worthy of being worthy of being a leader of the New York resistance, and
"They don't want us to talk about it." W said as we were still a go for the mission.
"What about the Higher Ups?" I asked, W then spat onto the ground showing he doesn't care about them.
"Fuck them." W replied. "When we have the opportunity to take back Hell's Kitchen then we damn well gonna take it back." W said confident since we were going to take back Hell's Kitchen, so we can shove that victory down the higher ups along with the DoF.
[Hell's Kitchen]
The DoF soldiers were patrolling the streets as they were waiting for our attack, and we had a plan on how we take back Hell's Kitchen.
[Moments before the attack…]
I pulled up a holomap of Hell's Kitchen, and I came up with the perfect idea of what to do.
"Alright, I have an idea, we need for a three prong attack, Kirill, you and the Red Scorpions attack from the north, W, you and the resistance attack from the east, the anarchists will attack from the south, we need to send a message to the Messiah that we will not go down, and we will grow stronger everyday." I said, and everybody was on board.
I then stepped back since I was going to need to summon my guardians, since I'm going to need their help for this.
"What are you doing?" W asked as I then bent my right arm inward and shot it straight out.
"Ryuko Matoi, Mako Makanshoku, Satsuki Kiryuin, Nonon Jakuzure, Ira Gamagoori, Uzu Sangaeyama, Houka Inumuta, Maka Albarn, Soul 'Eater' Evans, Genos, to me!" I commanded my guardians and thus they all appeared right behind me.
"It's about time you summoned us, we were getting bored." Ryuko said, and she along with the others wanted action as well.
"Alright guys, listen up, we're going to help W and take back Hell's Kitchen, this is a make or break moment f-" Just then Satsuki smacked me across the face, and I knew why she slapped me, it was because I refused to summon them when I was imprisoned.
"You idiot! You should've summoned us to protect you from Natasha!" Satsuki said, but I had to refuse Natasha because if I summoned all of my guardians, then she'll manipulate them and use them against me.
"I know I should've summoned you, but I didn't want you falling into the spell of that siren, she'll turn you against me and then have you guys kill me, that's why I chose not to summon you." I replied and Ryuko grabbed Satsuki as she was trying to go for another slap.
"Satsuki! You need to calm down, he made the call that he didn't want to summon us, and he worries about us too, and he didn't want to summon us for his need of protection." Ryuko said, and we needed to get focused on liberating Hell's Kitchen.
W's team began to move out as the Red Scorpions also decided to take the North and we of the Anarchy had to take the south.
Chiquita then grabbed a guard and slit his throat as W dropped the other one with a headshot, as soon as the guards were and lifted the gate for their resistance allies, and the members began to enter the area their target was a high ranking member within the DoF who happens to have some dirt on the Messiah's location along with what his plans are for all of this.
"Alright soldiers, stay on your toes, keep your guns up, and your eyes open, understood?" W asked, Chiquita also was a part of the team as well.
"Yes sir!" The soldiers and Chiquita replied, and they began
"This is W's we're moving into the building. Cover us will ya?"
"Copy that, I'll be on overwatch W." A resistance sniper said as he aimed a silenced fully custom M203 Bolt action sniper rifle at one soldier and he was in a prone position so he could be able to make a clean shot, the sniper then curled his finger around the trigger and squeezed it firing a single bullet taking out a guard with a pair of binoculars who was surveying the area.
The body of the sentry fell off the building as it smashed onto the ground below.
"Sentry is down, all clear." A resistance sniper said and the rest of the resistance began to storm the Chiquita, W and one of their fellow militia fighters took down the remaining guards all of the resistance soldiers along with W and Chiquita were pointing their guns at the resistance soldiers but they were quicker on the draw as they began to put down the soldiers who were charging at them like a bunch of idiots and they kept moving and searching the rooms for the target.
"Clear!" One resistance member shouted, and they regrouped and kept storming the building taking out more soldiers and their made their way to the target and they surrounded him and DoF officer is
"GET ON YOUR FUCKING KNEES, ASSWIPE!" W yelled at the DoF officer while holding him on gun point.
W then slammed the buttstock of his rifle and caused the man to drop to the ground, and W grabbed the guy and he was coming around after getting smacked in the back of the skull luckily he didn't have a concussion since he didn't use his full strength let alone smash in the guy's skull since he was needed alive for some weird reason.
"Chiquita how are we doing on time?"
"You got two mikes to exfil." Chiquita replied.
"Alright. Let's pull out then." W said and goes to his radio to call me and Kirill. "We're pulling out with HVT."
As the message was received by both me and Kirill, we needed to step up our A game in able to take back Hell's Kitchen.
One of W's militants grabbed a hold with their new prisoner with a bag over his head and start to move out.
As soon as they made it to the exfil point, an APC appeared as they loaded the prisoner onto the back and climbed in.
"This is W, package is secured, Immediate RTB." W said as the APC pulled out and one third of the mission was complete.
[Switch to Kirill and the Red Scorpions…]
Kirill along with the Red Scorpions were trying to find his uncle who was responsible for killing his family along with having Natasha be a traitor for both him and the Messiah, and he swore that those who were responsible for killing fellow comrades, but as the pain of losing those closest to him grew, he made it into a goal that no one else should die for this, and that humans along with anime characters should be able to live in peace and the thought of Karol, Winry and their little girl Alka was playing throughout his mind and he didn't want anything bad to happen to them.
As soon as he and the Red Scorpions began to head into another building as they were intent to capture him but it seems that they were in for a rude awakening…
The building was empty and it seems that there was an image of Kirill's uncle began to roam the halls, but he wasn't there…
"Stop or I will shoot!" Kirill shouted as he pointed his gun at the man who was walking into a room and Kirill just fired on the image of his uncle but it seems that the bullet had no effect and passed right through him with no effect.
He went through the door like a ghost and Kirill charged right through the door along with the rest of the Red Scorpions as they found out that it was nothing more than a hologram.
"It seems that you have decided to fall for your own need of revenge, and I pity you *тупой племянник* [stupid nephew] if you truly survive, you can find me at Washington D.C. I heard our new proxy president is going to be making sure our new laws will be passed." Kirill's uncle said as he found the source of the hologram shooting it, and Kirill cursed in Russian.
"Sir, we might want to vacate the building immediately because this place is rigged to explode in 2 minutes." One Red Scorpion soldier said in a Russian accent.
"Everyone vacate immediately!" Kirill ordered his soldiers as they all managed to escape before the building exploded and collapsed in a heap of burning rubble.
"This is Kirill of the Red Scorpions, my uncle is not there, we managed to escape and now we are RTB it's all on you anarchists." Kirill said as it was down to us and the mission was now two thirds successful in a way.
[Now to the anarchists…]
We've had reports that Hell's Kitchen is being used as a secret execution spot for anime characters and this just makes me sick that these people are killing off anime characters right and left, I didn't want this for any of my comrades or any anime characters that we cared about including my little girl Akara, I'll be damned if someone decided to harm her in front of me.
We then began to storm the area and we found a body, it was horrifying that we saw someone get executed, and it turned out that the body was Subaru Natsuki, we also found Ram and Rem locked in a cage as soon as we freed them, Rem saw Subaru's corpse as she began to have tears pouring out of her eyes.
"Barasu!" Rem screamed as she saw the horror of his execution.
I thought that Subaru had the ability to return after he died, but I noticed on the side of his neck there was an injection site where a syringe was used, and I had to take a sample of what was injected into Subaru and Rem ripped the chains that was holding him, as soon as the chains were ripped down, she then began to sob on Subaru's chest.
This was a sad moment for all of us when an anime character is murdered, but I won't let something be in vain.
I then activated a sample collecting syringe which was in the third finger on my left hand and was about to collect a sample, but Rem wouldn't let me go anywhere near him.
"DON'T YOU TOUCH BARASU!" Rem shrieked, and Ram had no alternative but to remove her twin sister, and she gently grabbed her and placed her into a restraint hold.
"Sister, sister, let me go!" Rem screamed, and I gently inserted the syringe into Subaru's neck.
"Rem, Rem, you need to calm down." Ram replied as she began to whisper something into Rem's ear causing her to calm down and fall asleep.
As soon as I collected the sample, I sent it to Dr. Weller since he might know what the strange substance is.
Just then a holoscreen appeared with Dr. Weller's face on it, it seems that he instantly got the sample.
"Hey Doc, you got the sample I sent you?" I asked and he began clacking away on a keyboard and it began to do an analysis on the sample and it seems that it was a type of compound that made it easier for the DoF to kill anime characters.
"Aye lad, and it seems this is a special called, 'Mortality juice' a very nasty customer at that one too. The DoF have been using it to dispose of anime characters making it easier to send them to the hereafter. You might want to investigate the scene if you want to find out more about the whole execution." Dr. Weller insisted and it seems that it's the only option I have to find out what happened.
So I activated a crime scene scanning drone thanks to the doctor since this could come in handy and a blue light began to engulf the area as holographic figures appeared along with some clues that could be able to help us find out who was responsible for killing Subaru.
I then found there were some seats for the highest ranked members of the DoF, but the Messiah wasn't there, there was an image of a doctor like image walked over to what was the image if Subaru, the doctor then injected Subaru with the mortality juice as the executioner then pulls out a Beretta 92F as he pointed it right at Subaru as he fired a single bullet into Subaru's head as the bullet exited and the splatter hit the wall behind him, he died with his eyes open.
So I kneeled down next to Subaru's corpse as I placed a hand over his forehead and slowly slid it down closing his eyes, after that, I took both of Subaru's arms and crossed them over his chest, I then pulled out two coins and placed it over each of his eyes.
"May I ask what the coins are for?" Ram asked, and I smirked since this has a meaningful message.
"Funny you should ask, in Greek and Roman mythology, when you die, the coins represented the toll you had to pay Charon, the ferryman who would take you across the river Styx to the gates of judgement, and that made sure the dead atone for anything they did in this life and they would be able to cross."
Ram then learned something about our human customs since she's a demon and an anime character.
I truly feel bad for Rem since she had such feelings for Subaru and he had feelings for Emilia in the anime.
And now Emilia is with Brian, and they should know about Subaru.
But I needed to focus on the rest of the clues as well, I then saw that there was a video camera and it contained footage of the execution.
I then pulled out a USB connector and plugged it into the camera and sent it to Futaba.
And the holoscreen changed to Futaba's face as she began to go through the footage.
"It's going to take a few minutes for me to find out where the doctor and the executioner." Futaba said, and I was noted with a blip that the Executioner.
It seems that the blip was about three blocks from our current location and it seems that W and Chiquita both managed to capture the doctor that administered the mortality juice.
And we needed to find this guy, but it seems that the blip then disappeared and reappeared at our location with Genos holding the executioner by the back of his skull.
"Let go of me of piece of shit anime demon." The executioner said and it seems that Tokisawa was with Genos.
"I take it that this is the person who was responsible for killing this person." Genos said, and I nodded and Tokisawa was in the area and he was the one who captured the executioner handing him over to Genos.
Toki also had some gasoline in a Jerry can, he then opened the can and began pouring the flammable substance over the executioner.
"I was in the mood for some barbecue." Tokisawa said, he then handed me a flare and it caused me to smirk.
"A barbecue huh, let me ask you something Toki, how do you like your ribs?" I asked and I then lit the flare.
"Medium well my dude." Tokisawa said as I tossed the flare onto the executioner as the flames engulfed him and the screams of pain and the sickening sweet stench of burning flesh filled the area and that scent never leaves your nostrils, and now our mission is successful as we have recaptured Hell's Kitchen.
I then fired off a green flare to signal the resistance members in the area that Hell's Kitchen is now liberated for the resistance.
And now it was time to return to the resistance hideout.
[Resistance hideout, 30 minutes later…]
As soon as we got back, we were greeted by my daughter Akara.
"It's good to see you come back alive daddy." Akara said, I then picked up Akara and Tokisawa was shocked that I had a daughter.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a daughter?" Tokisawa asked borderline nearly blew his top.
"You didn't ask, I mean you should ask, 'hey, do you have any kids?' And I would probably say, 'Well yeah, I got a little girl and another one on the way.'" I replied, and Tokisawa also knew that Mirajane was pregnant and he was the first to know about Mirajane's pregnancy.
"OH BALONEY!" Tokisawa shouted, he had an angry face along with a giant tick mark sticking outside his forehead.
"You didn't tell him about me daddy? Why?" Akara asked, and I had to keep this a secret since I didn't want any harm coming to her.
But before our conversation could continue, Spencer showed up as he began to type on his phone, he then showed us what he wrote.
W says he wants to see you in the war room.
"Alright, I'll be right there." I replied, and we began to head to the war room where W was waiting for us.
Tokisawa and I began to head for the war room and W was reading some information on me, and it was about my mercenary career from the time I was a part of the PMC known as Hotel Foxtrot.
"W, Chiquita...you two okay?" I asked, and Chiquita answered on their behalf...
"Oh we're fine." Said Chiquita. "Glad to see you guys made it."
W had a folder containing some information, but it had my name on it, Spencer was the one who informed W about my past even though I still carried both physical and mental scars from that life.
"How did you get that information?" I asked, and this was a bit of a backstory that needed to be revealed.
"Spencer dug it up for me, I want to know what happened during Venezuela." W said, and I then tapped my right lap twice and Akara then gently sat on my lap since she could be able to understand why her father didn't come back to her, and what happened three years ago.
"Are you sure you want Akara to listen to this?" Chiquita asked, and I gently nodded, she was no stranger to death and violence because of Akame being a highly trained assassin and I'm a former mercenary who became an anarchist leader.
"Yes, it's best for Akara to understand why I didn't come back to her until now." I replied, and I began to share a story about what happened in Hotel Foxtrot. "It all happened three years ago, shortly after the birth of anime…"
[Hotel Foxtrot PMC, Three Years Ago…]
I was a rookie and I didn't have any military background but I was trained in military combat situations along with how to properly use guns and how to use hand to hand combat.
I was riding in the back of a military transport and it stopped as I jumped out the back, and as soon as I jumped out of the back, I was greeted by a fellow mercenary who was also an anime fan, even though his father disapproved of it, his name is Devin Cain.
I had a picture of me with Akame and Akara, as I slipped it back into my wallet as I then reached out and shook Devin's hand.
"So you must be our new recruit, I'm Devin." He said and I nodded as I knew that he was going to be my partner in crime.
"I'm Roman, so I hear you like anime." I replied, he nodded as we discussed our favorites along with the reasons why we liked it, he even showed me into the war room where the other mercenaries were waiting for us.
"Alright listen up, the government is giving us a new assignment. We're being shipped out to Venezuela we have reports that the dictator has captured U.S. Aid workers and it's up to us to rescue them and we need to go in, rescue the aid workers, and the government has given us the green light with assassinating the dictator." The leader said, and with that we all loaded back on the military transport as we were going to the airstrip and take off for the private airstrip as we had a privately owned C-130, the C-130 then roared to life as the mercenaries along with myself all loaded up and then we began to take off to our destination of Venezuela.

(A/N: Well guys here's another chapter in the books, and thanks to all of those who have supported me and I wanted to bring back my right hand man Tokisawa, and I also came up with the perfect VA to portray him Aaron Dismuke since I kept picturing his voice for him, and I'm really glad to have someone like him within the AoA since he usually keeps me in line. But the next chapter is going to explore what happened in Venezuela and how I became a leader of the most notorious anime resistance faction in the world, but I'm also going to need some more soldiers to help fight the deceitful holy cult faction known as the DoF.
